We had a really super stay at Ian’s place, the perfect bolthole for the weekend. We were a group of three families with young kids and it suited us very well. Most of the time we were out of the house, we went skiing in Whitetail (roughly 40 min drive) and visited the brewery in Berkeley Spring. The drive was cleared after the snowstorm but we wouldn’t have minded if we had been stuck there! There was plenty to do at the house from board games to quizzes to shuffleboard and hot tub! We certainly would consider it again for future visits.

This home was just out of this world. The architecture, the details, everything was just beautiful. Mary Beth was accommodating with various requests and was extremely responsive with everything. I would recommend this home to anyone!

Our party of six spanned three generations and everyone was comfortable here. We loved it! The games shed with ping pong and Atari was a hit, as was the outdoor seating, enormous and comfy beds, and lovely decor and furnishings. There's a lot to do in this beautiful area too!

It’s hard to put into words how absolutely incredible this property is… it was a bachelorette weekend get away that was made even more perfect with this location. Due to a storm that went through the area, we lost power as well as water, David and Andrea handled it immediately and were giving us updates as the process as soon as they had updates! The inside of the house gives you a whole other experience, the decor just kept your eyes traveling throughout the home and everything was perfect. The hardest part about the weekend was having to checkout, simply because we just didn’t want to leave! If you are looking for a relaxing weekend with a group, this is the place to be!

I can’t say enough about how absolutely fabulous this house is and how great Tamara is as a host- communication was excellent and she was quick to respond to any questions. The house and outdoor areas are beautiful, well maintained & comfortable, and everything you could possibly need is provided. My family was in town over a long Memorial Day weekend for my nephew’s wedding which was held at another of Tamara’s properties (also spectacular!) just 2 miles up the road so this property was so convenient for us. We had an A+++ experience and highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay with a large family. We never once felt crowded. Everyone had their own space to relax. The kids bedroom was amazing and the kids loved being able to explore the house and property with us. We were in for a family wedding at a nearby venue and made the cake in the kitchen here and had an amazing amount of space to work with. I’d highly recommend this place to a friend. If we have to come back to the area in the future we’d happily book again. The hosts were very nice. Also the peacocks are amazingly beautiful.

Could not of been happier. Lovely property, great location near Gettysburg as we wanted one place for 10+ guests to tour the battlefield. Great beds, very comfortable, burn pit was a great plus for a party of our size after dinner.

I’ve stayed in well over twenty AirBNB places, and none were as welcoming as Kent’s beautiful home just outside of Gettysburg. Upon entering the house, we were greeted by a delicious plate of chocolate chip cookies! The house is located on a farm, perfectly distanced from Gettysburg, roughly fifteen minutes away. The house has a very classic and older feel to it, fitting perfectly, the nature of our visit to Gettysburg. The house has plenty of rooms, secret staircases to the upstairs bedrooms, whimsically painted rooms, an upstairs balcony, indoor and outdoor seating form meals and goats!!! Did I mention the goats??? The goats quickly became our favorite memory from our stay, as we made friends with these little guys pretty early into our stay. I would gladly stay here again, and highly recommend anyone seeking a wonderful and roomy AirBNB near Gettysburg to stay here as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matthew’s retreat. The home is spacious across both levels, making it perfect for our large family. It’s beautifully furnished-comfortable, tasteful and uncluttered. The kitchen is generously equipped. The massive deck is a real highlight. With plenty of seating, two heaters and a grill. The peaceful surroundings made it easy to connect with nature and truly unwind. Check-in and check-out were easy. The house is exactly as advertised- no surprises, just a great experience. Kayla has gone above and beyond to create a welcoming and truly comfortable AirB&B experience. The house has EVERYTHING that you could possibly want in a rental. The house is well stocked with kitchen supplies, a full coffee bar, every bathroom essential you could think of, comfortable beds, plenty of extra linens, blankets, towels, etc. The house is well equipped to handle babies and dogs as well as multiple people. She has placed Information everywhere so there’s never a question as to how anything works, and her guidebook is full of information and suggestions about the local area. The yard is great for hanging out. She is responsive and just all-around an absolute super host. We had a wonderful time staying at this house and it was truly one of the best Airbnb‘s I’ve ever stayed at. If you are looking for a family location in the Gettysburg area, do not hesitate to book this house.

Wonderful home, just a short walk from river riders. Where you can do some awesome adventures around Harpers Ferry. Can sleep large groups easily. Plenty of dishes to use for cooking, eating, and the great grill outside.

This property is spectacular! Fabulous hiking, huge pond, a basement filled with fun (pool, ping pong, air hockey, and SO many games). Even with less than stellar weather, we were able to fully enjoy the house and property. There are plenty of covered spaces to enjoy the stellar views and stay dry. The fireplace and wood (thank you!!) meant that we were warm and cozy for our stay. Thank you for sharing this lovely property!!

We had a great golf weekend in the area and really liked the accommodations. It was private, enough to fit 8 golfers, and close to many of the course we played. We will go back again.

My two cents for the review: Everything was as described. There was plenty of room for the seven of us. Having the instructions and Wi-Fi password in multiple places was a nice touch. We didn't have any issues for our three nights stay. My only concern was the spotty cell service which isn’t within the hosts control however he did have Wi-Fi so we could switch to Wi-Fi calling which helped.

Loved this cabin!!! It’s older than the ones in the area but is such an amazing steal for the cost!! Gorgeous wraparound porch and nice layout. It’s an older cabin in the middle of the woods so there’s some bugs but that’s what you sign up for in the woods. Really loved this place and would love to come back

The place was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends and Susan was a wonderful host; from start to finish was a great experience! I had questions prior to making the reservation, before my stay and during the stay, which Susan answered promptly. The home was clean and layout made sense. There’s lots of natural sunlight on the main floor, two large living rooms to spend time with other guests indoors, the kitchen and dining area were well stocked to cook and eat together, each bedroom had plenty of space, no more than two bedrooms shared each bathroom on the main floor, one bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor, and lots of space outside to lounge together including the pool and furniture which were also clean. I would stay here again and recommend to others!

Our group had an amazing time. It was easy for us to spread out and have our own space, as well as gather together for dinners without being cramped. The beds were very comfortable. The surrounding area is gorgeous. Anna was a responsive host and made our stay seamless.

This cabin is an oasis! The high ceilings screened in porch, and wrap around deck were some of our favorites. The hot tub is incredible. The place is incredibly well stocked with everything you might need for a weekend away, and our hosts were super communicative and welcoming throughout the booking process and our stay.

Our experience at the Wizards Escape was amazing! Nate, our host, was the best. He checked in to make sure that we were getting the best experience out of the house. The atmosphere is unreal! We really felt we were at Hogwarts Castle. The bedrooms are so full of detail. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could imagine. The Great Hall is magical! The escape rooms.. fantastic. We only stayed 2 days but tried to get in all the activities that were available. We played quidditch golf, did escape rooms, had a scavenger hunt, made great meals in the Weasley's kitchen. We had dinner in the Great Hall under the levitating candles while listening to the Harry Potter music in the background. This house is a home to be experienced. We are definitely coming back!

This is by far the best Airbnb experience I’ve had yet. Rana was extremely welcoming and responsive. We even left items and she messaged me to let me know and arranged to get them back to me. The home is immaculate, beautiful, charming, and had even more room than we anticipated. It was a perfect place for family dinner and game nights. I grew up in this area, so coming back is always fun, in addition to the handful of need to do things, like Creekside Market, Berkeley Springs State Park, Cacapon State Park, Lot 12 restaurant, The Naked Olive…. We had 8 people in our party and we were more than comfortable. I will 100% come back here!!
