Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria

idyllic mountain village surrounded by friendly Italian people. In winter it can get cold in the house, even if in the morning the sun is shining surrounded by lemon trees. We always had power outages. It was worth the trip. 🍋🌞🍊

Incredible serene oasis. Antonio brought us eggs, fresh strawberries, and citrus galore, making sure we felt right at home. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We stayed on this space for 3 days. Was super clean. Giovanna showed us everything at check-in. We were in Scilla or on the ferry in Sicily within 10 minutes. If you walked down the street, you were right by the sea and could look over to Sicily. The only thing that bothered me was the motorists. The house is located on a curve, i.e. it is lifted from every direction. Especially in the morning from 8:00 am it was quite annoying, at other times it had not bothered us. I recommend the accommodation for a trip to Scilla or to come to Sicily.

Great location near Piazza Rocco. You do need to walk down to the beach and Chianalea as the lift is out of operation. Follow Lorenzo's pictures starting in front of the Church in Piazza Rocco rather than rely on Maps. Lorenzo organised a taxi for us. Highly recommended

Although we didn’t get the pleasure to meet Consolato, he was very responsive and gave good recommendations for local restaurants. His dad helped us with parking. The place was very clean and just like the pictures. There isn’t much around but it was perfect for our one night stay since it is only a 30min drive to Villa San Giovanni port.

We were greeted by the father-in-law who helped us with the suitcases. The house is very spacious with a large terrace where you have a beautiful view. The bed sleeps well, shower also nice. It is a small cozy village with few facilities. You have to drive down to get there. Please note, Google sends you the wrong way, always keep left when you drive up.

I liked everything, the hosts are very responsive , everything is within walking distance of the embankment market, shops, port, cafes, restaurants. we will gladly come back again)

We stayed at a few places in Italy this summer, coming from Rome to Napoli and finally Fabio's place in the South. I have to say this was my favourite stay. The place is very private, easy to access, close to other local beaches if you have a car. Fabio's dad was so welcoming, made us feel right at home. The house has all the amenities needed and is clean and easy to maintain. This is a fantastic place if you have children. Hopefully we will be back 🙂

Beautiful, well-kept and authentic place. Lovely garden and pool with beautiful and clean view. Actually 7 minutes from the beach by car. The owners were very welcoming and flexible , they also made us find groceries at home and gave us the vegetables from their garden and the fresh eggs from the chicken coop! We absolutely recommend the place! Nb: it's important to keep in mind that the other apartment that accommodates 5 people in the same property is just 5 meters from our rooms and the tables to eat in the garden a few meters from each other :so great for two families of friends looking to join for the holidays

Antonio and his family are great hosts. The house is beautiful and the facilities are great. Whenever we contacted Antonio he responded within 10 minutes and he was very helpful with everything we asked about. This is a great place to stay.

The space is absolutely amazing! We had two wonderful days with lemons and oranges from the very nice garden. The location is unique and you have a fantastic view of the city from the balcony. We will be happy to come back!

It was a wonderful stay, beautiful view and pool and the apartment was spacious, comfortable and quiet.

The most beautiful thing about the accommodation was the location or the view. And the pool. It was super quiet and we could be really good for ourselves. Franceso was always available to answer any questions or other things and took great care. You should know that you definitely need a car because restaurants etc. are not in walking distance.

In all, Vittoria’s place was an idyllic home base for exploring eastern Calabria, but poor and confusing communication made us almost cancel our booking a week before our trip. We weren’t even sent the address until the day before arrival, but it was worth persevering, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Peace, quiet, and solitude are key factors for us when booking holiday accommodations and the listing was so vague, we had no idea until we actually arrived whether we would be sharing the space with other travellers. As it turned out, we were in a spacious masseria, surrounded by citrus groves in which we could sit and watch the stars at night. There were two other families staying in the same complex, but we rarely saw or heard them, though future guests could be faced with all-night partyers or noisy children playing tag among the bergamot trees. It’s a risk to consider. Our living space was roomy, easily sleeping four or five, with two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a dining/lounge area. The main, upstairs bedroom was extremely hot, but we asked for a fan, which combined with the downstairs air conditioning cooled things off enough. We cook a lot on holidays and the kitchen was adequate but lacking in basic equipment such as a cheese grater and wine glasses and absolutely no essentials such as salt, oil, or water are provided. There were a few eccentric niggles with the property – we never could figure out where to put our rubbish, for example – but nothing that prevented us from enjoying the glorious surroundings. The masseria is three minutes’ drive from the agriturismo that is run by the same owner. The agriturismo clearly hosts many more guests than the masseria, but we were there during the Covid-19 crisis and few others were to be seen. Organic meals are served there (25 Euros for a four-course meal) but the one night we booked a table got cancelled because the restaurant was closed on Monday. We were offered lemonade, fruit, coffee, and crostata upon arrival and departure, and I got the feeling that they would happily provide anything you asked for. The star attraction for us was the glorious swimming pool, beautifully set in an enclosed garden area with banana trees, lounge chairs, and a spectacular view. Again, perhaps because of the dates we were there or our non-Italian schedules, we had the pool to ourselves throughout most of our stay. This may not always be the case, as the bewildering instructions for the pool specify limits for swimming times and number of people allowed in the pool. Now that we know the details of the place and some of the mysteries are solved, we would be much more comfortable booking and staying there again and would recommend it to other travellers looking for a lovely and well-located place to stay in Calabria.

Domenica was a wonderful host and so helpful! We had to book this place last minute because our other lodgings fell through and the host was so accommodating and lovely! The space is beautiful and the location is amazing. I will definitely book this apartment again when I come back someday!!

Very nice studio a few minutes from the center of Reggio Calabria, equipped with all comforts and elegantly furnished. Impeccable cleanliness. Suitable for both solo travelers and couples. The building is very quiet and reserved. The owner, Daniela, is very kind from the time of booking until check-out, providing useful directions. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back.

Very nice stay. Santo is attentive to what you need and is very friendly. the apartment is spotless and very comfortable. it is a 15 minute walk to the historic center.

Ideal location, quiet and central at the same time. Restaurants and caterers close to the apartment. The apartment is large, comfortable and cozy. Very clean and well-equipped... Perfect! And communication with Angela is very easy and pleasant. If I come back to Reggio Calabria, it will be here.

The apartment is compact but very well designed and stocked. It has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. There has been a great deal of attention to detail and that makes your stay simple and easy. Sebastiano is a great host who is available if there are any questions about the apartment or the surrounding area. I enjoyed my time at the apartment.

They are adorable, super helpful, excellent communication. The apartment is exactly like the one in the photo, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place. I'll stay with them again for sure!

Excellent stay, the apartment is equipped with everything you need! We have always found a place near the house. The area is conveniently close to the center and you can see a beautiful sunset from the house or from Villa Mazzini above the apartment (less than a 5-minute walk). Franco is a great host, we recommend him!
