Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mġarr

There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. This was a great air BnB. Good location, friendly hosts and excellent facilities. The house is hard to imagine from the photos, but it is wonderful. Beautiful, homely and very practical too. Well-equipped kitchen, iron, washing machine, shampoo/shower gel, tea/coffee and hair dryer all included. Comfy memory foam mattresses. We loved the little courtyard/terrace space and appreciated the quietness too, whilst still being super close to town. A great location for visiting Mdina and Rabat’s own sights of interest. Also very close to the bus stops to connect you with other sites. Overall a lovely stay in a lovely place.

Lovely place to stay and the pool was a great addition to our stay. Throughly enjoyed our time here and is a lovely place to stay. Within walking distance of some really nice restaurants and not a far walk into Valletta at all.

We had a truly AMAZING stay at Bebuxxa Farmhouse :)! We were with a group of 12 and were sooo at home here. The large kitchen, the outside aerea with a beautiful pool, grand living room with cosy couches and even a fireplace for which Steve arranged some firewood for us! All the rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean. We really loved the view over the green lands and the sea in the background. Sunset and stars were truly mesmerising! When we come back with another group next year we definitely return to Steve's place :)! It's private and luxiourious and homy all together. Steve answered very fast to all our questions and accomodated us really very well. Grazi, grazi :)!!

It is unlikely you will stay anywhere else like this, it is very special. The description and photos are totally accurate. Well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The terrace would have been a lovely place to spend time if the weather had been kinder! Nat responded quickly to any questions and was always helpful. The directions provided made it very easy to find and the key was in the safe. You have to park outside of the old city (part of the charm is virtually no vehicles) but we had no problem parking. Very happy to recommend Nat's house.

Paul and Simone were very helpful. We could not get the washing machine to work ( no water); we called and they arranged for someone to come and sort out the problem - and this was a Sunday morning. Impressive! They were very responsive to any other communications too. There are instructions in the kitchen re sorting garbage etc - these were easy to follow ( unlike some other places). Lovely little courtyard. Very comfortable and pleasant place with great hosts.

Malta ist immer einen Besuch Wert, aber Gozo hat die Position der ruhigen und grünen Seite der Inseln. Und inmitten des Herzens von Gozo in Viktoria befindet sich in einer ruhigen, zentralen Seitenstrasse im Stile eines 'house of character' das Apartment von Rowen. Wer dort einkehrt, wohnt nicht nur zur Miete, sondern lebt dort die Zeit, die er dort verbringt: grüßende Nachbarn, alle Annehmlichkeiten des täglichen Lebens sind in der Umgebung wie Restaurants, Eisdiele, Supermarkt (beste Austern!!), und vom Zentrum kommt man an jeden Punkt der Insel in weniger als 20 Minuten. Rowan ist ein perfekter Gastgeber, das Apartment ist 1A gepflegt, es fehlt an nichts incl. allem nötigen Beiwerk zum kochen wie Öl, Salz und Pfeffer. Das mag eine Kleinigkeit sein, aber es ist immer sehr unangenehm, wenn man diese Dinge erst selber für ein paar Tage einkaufen muss. Mein Tip: eine klare Empfehlung, einfach ausprobieren!

Great location in the heart of Rabat, bakery, cafes and little shops all very close. Easy walk into Mdina. We enjoyed our stay and would return. Thank you

Jag hade en fantastisk vistelse här! Lägenheten var precis som på bilderna – ren, fräsch och fullt utrustad med allt jag behövde. Läget var perfekt, nära till både strand, restauranger och kollektivtrafik. Matthew var väldigt hjälpsam och snabb på att svara, vilket gjorde att jag kände mig välkommen och trygg under hela vistelsen. Jag skulle absolut bo här igen och rekommenderar det varmt till andra!

Wir vier Frauen waren begeistert von der Wohnung. Sehr sauber, äusserst freundliche Kommunikation. Die Wohnung hat ALLES was es braucht. Und die kleinen Details die geboten wurden passten einfach dazu. Wir kommen wieder! Danke für den angenehmen Aufenthalt in Sliema!

Rowen was a fantastic host. He met us and went through the instructions showed us where everything was. The apartment is absolutely beautiful, so clean. The little pool was adequately heated, it’s too small to swim in, but lovely to chill and look at the lovely views. Unfortunately on our 1st day the builder next door decided to do some drilling at 7 am in the morning. For the inconvenience, Rowen did not charge us the €20 for the heating of the pool and the tax. Albeit we were there for two days To relax after being in Villetta for five days, it is what we needed. It’s not located near the beach (25-30mins walking) there are some supermarket right downstairs but we chose to take a 25 minute walk down into the town and have more options of restaurants. Bolt is really accessible so you don’t have to walk if you don’t need to. It does have a busy roundabout out front but your are pretty high up (4th floor) so it did not bother us.

As coming to Malta for the first time I was worried a bit. Location turn out out to be a perfect spot, close to centre but away from traffic and noise yet close by bus stop. Accommodation was neat and clean. The hosts were v nice, friendly and really helpful with information and advices. We enjoyed our stay and hopefully will come back. Big thank you from us.

We had a great stay at this spacious apartment in Malta. There was plenty of storage space, and it was very comfortable for a longer stay. The location is perfect if you’re looking for peace and quiet—it’s a very calm residential neighborhood with no bars or restaurants nearby, which was exactly what we were looking for. The sea isn’t far either, and the host was very responsive and easy to reach. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay!

We had a fantastic holiday at the apartment and we didn’t want to come home. The apartment was huge and had everything we needed. Our 3 year old son loved zooming around the apartment and the space outside and the pool was perfect. Alison was the best host ever, such a lovely person and gave us great recommendations which we really appreciated. She had left plenty of essential groceries for our arrival which was super duper helpful, and even brought us an amazing pizza on our last night too. The location is so handy for shops and we could walk with a pram to restaurants nearby. We found a few local parks for our son to play in within walking distance too. We can’t recommend Alison’s apartment enough, and I’m sure we will come back in the future x

Our stay was very pleasant, the check-in was easy and the host responded very quickly. There is a supermarket close-by which had everything you could possibly need. And the terasse was very nice, but during the day it was a bit too hot out there so some kind of sunshade would be welcome. Everything was like the pictures and description.

Très beau et bon logement. Il est plus grand en vrai que sur les photos, donc très bonne surprise. Le séjour s’est très bien passé et Caroline a toujours été une hôte réactive et à l’écoute. PS : pensez à ramener des pièces faire fonctionner pour la climatisation

Everything was perfect! Really nice big apartment, cozy and clean.

Lovely, spacious apartment that was exactly as described and looked just like the photos. Really well located too, with a supermarket immediately next door and lots of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. If you’re up for a longer walk you can even get to Sliema within 15 minutes. Really easy to jump a taxi to Valletta and anywhere else on the island too, or there’s a bus stop right outside the supermarket. Jane was a super host, letting us check-in early and responding within seconds to rescue us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the building!

The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, plus some lovely extras like fresh coffee and an ironing board. The washing machine’s 15-minute cycle was especially handy for a quick turnaround of clothes. The views from the apartment were extraordinary, both during the day and at night. We didn’t use any of the common areas of the apartment block and wouldn’t have used the pool, so we can’t comment on those. The apartment was ideal for our holiday. We had a car and spent our 10-day stay exploring Gozo and Malta with ease. We would happily stay again if the mattress is replaced—it was very, very uncomfortable. Aside from that it was a great stay. Thank you!

Joseph and Alex were extremely kind and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the area was beautiful. Joseph provided everything we needed - we had cheese eggs and his signature sourdough bread when we arrived. We had a toddler with us and Joseph provided everything we needed for our toddler to have a comfortable stay. I would thoroughly recommend staying here - absolutely mind-blowing!

We stayed in four properties during our trip to Malta & Gozo. This was by far the most professional and communicative host with the highest standard. The property has been cleverly thought through- from potato peelers and cheese graters to deckchairs- they are excellent quality. You are made to feel that you are valued and the host has not provided you with cheap utensils. The finish overall was amazing. It was well stocked with everything- indoor and pool towels. The tv is easy to use- we got Amazon Prime working easily. The pool is gorgeous and very peaceful. We felt safe as a family of four and found getting places using Bolt no problem.

Jesteśmy starszą para i ta uprzejmość i empatia bardzo nas wzruszyła. Za co od serca dziękujemy. Bardzo łatwa komunikacja z gospodarzem. Miejsce łatwo znaleźć. Nieskazitelnie czyste wszystkie pomieszczenia. Zmiana ręczników, mycie okien po ulewnym deszczu ! Wszystkie urządzenia sprawne i zgodnie z opisem. Jest wszystko czego potrzebujesz do przygotowania posiłku. Piękna okolica do zwiedzania, dobre miejsce do spacerów, restauracje, bary i kioski. Komunikacyjne połączenie z miejscowościami Gozo bardzo dobre. Autobusy przy terminalu promowym 2-3 minuty. Autobus 301 do Viktori/ Rabat regularnie co dwadzieścia minut. Widok z balkonu! Widok na morze, port, wyspę Comino, Maltę. Niezapomniany spektakl, zwłaszcza kąpiące się konie. A przede wszystkim niezapomniani gospodarze. Dziękujemy. Grazyna i Teodor.
