Guest house holiday rentals in Midlothian

Great stop off on our way further north. Easy to find, not far from A1. Welcoming pub, clean, comfy room and an outstanding breakfast. Things to see locally, we had a drive up to the coast, just 15 minutes. Would stay here again.

A cost and comfortable studio, super comfy bed in a very quiet location. Pristine bathroom and very hot shower. Train station is mins walk but never heard a train passing, easy commute to Edinburgh / Glasgow. The town is wonderful, plenty of bars and restaurants and a beautiful loch to walk around and castle to investigate. Great value trip would certainly visit again. Also, excellent communication with Joanne, including directions and local knowledge. Cheers.

The accommodation was lovely; clean, spacious and comfortable with a wonderful big bathroom. We were well located for our purpose of watching the Scottish Open golf - a 10-15 mins drive from the Renaissance Golf Club. Staff were very friendly and accommodating during our stay. My only slightly negative feedback was that this property was advertised with an EV charger, but it wasn’t clear whether this was a dedicated charger for the accommodation and whether it was included in the price of the room. I made several attempts to message the host to get some clarity, but had no reply. Once we arrived we realised the charger was a public charger located a few hundred metres from the property. Overall though, a great Airbnb.

Fantastic location, perfect for a New Years getaway, community feeling town which was so lovely. A brilliant stay, will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay at The Crown & Kitchen, absolutely recommend staying here if you plan a trip to East Lothian! Loved the breakfast down at the pub in the morning and how nice everyone was. The bedroom and on suite were stunning. If you are light sleepers, be aware the windows are next to the street and you will here the (very few) cars that pass there at night

Lovely room! The pictures don’t do it justice, it was spotlessly clean and we received breakfast bags each morning! The host was very thoughtful and we had everything we could need! The location was perfect, and being able to leave our bags after checkout was very useful. Check in was easy and straight forward, would definitely recommend! Thank you for a lovely trip!

The room was even better than I expected! I had a room on the second floor looking to the back of the house and I didn't hear a thing from outside of from my neighbor! Louise was very kind and even carried my heavy luggage upstairs. She also let me check in early. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely and spotless space in a lovely area, and easy to get into the town centre (in the car - not sure how long it would take on foot). Would definitely return.

We had an amazing stay at Jenny and Tristan’s superb apartment in this beautiful part of Edinburgh. The property itself was perfect for two people and had everything that we needed for a long weekend in the city. The gardens surrounding the property were spectacular and made our stay very special. Jenny and Tristan were the perfect hosts - available when we needed them but left us to our own devices. They were very responsive to any requests and flexible around our check in and check out times. We were so happy staying at their property and hope to visit again some time soon

Lovely house in beautiful surroundings. Len is very friendly and caring and we enjoyed chatting to him. The house is full of character and the rooms was bright and spacious with a large comfortable bed. We would stay again.

It was a quiet and peaceful place, which made for a comfortable stay. Since it was a long-term stay, I really appreciated the regular cleaning and laundry support.

We had a lovely stay thank you! It was so nice to spend some time in the fresh air with all the animals, and thank you for introducing us to some of the horses ! The family dogs are the sweetest and would love to play fetch on a walk around the property if you’re game. We even had a last minute addition of two more ppl to our reservation when their accoms fell through and our host allowed us to edit and add them last minute. We were able to throw in some quick laundry, relax a little, and head out to our next wedding refreshed. Thanks for everything !

What a beautiful cottage and a lovely quiet location. We were provided with everything we needed for a lovely relaxing few days. Hosts were great and welcomed us in. We were visiting family with my daughter and grandson but would love to return for a longer stay when we could enjoy the surrounding countryside more.

That was very nice place for me to stay , I have been here for two weeks, I love this place very much which is spaceful, tidy, organized. Marilyn keep the kitchen very clean , there are variety of cooking essential that you can use , such as oven, pan, toaster, micro wave,fast oven and so on. I stayed in the six people room, the room is clean and mattress is very comfortable. James is very friendly gentleman, he help me store my luggage when I checked out. Furthermore, you can make some friends in here, definitely I will come back when I visit Edinburgh.

This is a wonderful place to stay - we were warmly welcomed and introduced to the accommodation- it was walking distance to our friends and in the wonderful market town of Haddington in mid Lothian - easy drive into Edinburgh and the surrounding beaches - would highly recommend

This was the best Airbnb stay we’ve had. The studio is in a peaceful area with a scenic path to the city centre and excellent transport links. Free parking right outside made things even easier. Inside, the space is modern, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. Communication with the host was warm and effortless. We felt completely at home and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

The room was tidy and furnished with antiques. A very tastefully Victorian house with all modern facilities. We had only time for one night, it would be a place for a longer stay. The house is central to the Downtown of Dumfernline and a good place for visiting Edinburgh. The Host Michael is very friendly and had a lot of tips for visiting the town. Perfect!

Spend a night with my partner. The room is small as seen in the advertisement but it's very good. Jessica was lovely, she was there for us at all times for anything we need. I leave some complimentary snacks and cafes in the room. Also had food sales service to do in the microwave just in case. He made us some recommendation to visit and gave us facilities when entering and exiting the listing.

Amazing as a backpacker, good price, quite clean.
