KAIWA NO SATO This old house is an indigo mansion built in the first year of the Bunsei era (1804) during the heyday of indigo. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. The maximum occupancy is 6, so it is ideal for a family or group trip with friends. Parking is also available for 1 car free of charge, so please use this as a base to enjoy sightseeing in Tokushima. The location is also within walking distance of the downtown area, so you can enjoy Tokushima gourmet. There is also a dryer, so I think it is suitable for long-term stays. The bedrooms are also divided into 3 rooms, so privacy is protected when you sleep, and when you want to gather, there is a table for 6 people in the living room, so I hope you can enjoy eating, drinking, and traveling together.
