Casa Hikuri Rainforest Cabin

The Airbnb is amazing, it’s on top of a mountain, in the jungle. Very quiet, beautiful setting. The only thing I wish I’d known before booking was that you absolutely need to rent a 4x4 vehicle to get to the Airbnb. You cannot travel to and from the Airbnb by Uber, taxi or standard car.

Perfect place to stay near La Fortuna. Exceptionally clean, unbelievably beautiful property. We loved everything about our stay as well as the cheap food options right down the road.

AsiaTica Lodge Volcano and Lake View

We had an awesome experience in Arenal, and Franz and Jenny were a big part of that. The rental itself is great--incredible view (unpredictable rainforest weather permitting), clean, and modern. We woke up every morning at sunrise to the sound of the birds that were just 10-20 feet outside the window (toucans, oropendulos, flycatchers, etc). The hosts went out of their way to help us schedule some local tours which were authentic and unique. Also, Franz is a hell of a chef; the included breakfast each morning was delicious, varied, and plentiful (we skipped lunch more than once because we were so full!). As noted by others, it is a bit of a trek from La Fortuna, but as long as you plan your day appropriately, it's really no big deal. There are enough options for dinner nearby that there's no need to go back "into town". The drive there is doable without 4WD, but I would get a vehicle with it just to be safe (also allows for fun excursions). Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Secret Bungalows Lechu (Bungalow 2)

This place was MAGICAL. I have been to Costa Rica many times and this experience was by far the most immersive of any. the outdoor shower was perfect, the jacuzzi was even better and the sounds of the forest topped it all off. Any restaurant you can think of only 25 minutes away (don't bring to much food or any open food, the bugs will come). I recommend this stay to anybody wanting to see la fortune waterwall.

Enjoy Nature in the Pacific

We only stayed one night and really enjoyed our stay. The property was spotless and the instructions were very clear. Ana was easy to communicate with and we had everything we needed. It was the first time I had seen so many avocados growing on trees. The setting was peaceful, the air conditioning was nice, and the black out shades were a plus! The best part was the delicious breakfast!! Thank you Ana!!!

Ocean-View Home Surrounded by Jungle & Wildlife

LeilaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed there for 1 week so had a lot of time there. The road to get there is a 15 minute intense rocky drive I would highly suggest having a 4x4 vehicle. Wi-fi is also a little rough so prepare for that. House is a little dusty and bugs love the kitchen and floors upstairs. It’s really out there in the jungle. Two friendly cats that we ended up naming and enjoying their company and 7 dogs that will run over to you and say hi every day. Host was very responsive and helpful. Overall beautiful stay.
