Urnes Gard - Quirky cottage

The kitchen is a cosy, small cottage that is best suited for couples, possibly with young children. It has its own patio with a screened terrace on one side and a small lawn on the other side. From the cabin you can see a mountain and fjord through a garden tunnel with operating buildings, but you don't need to go that far to get all the views you want! Words that portray the Garden of Urnes and the city well: peace and quiet, natural experience, fjords and mountains, history, tradition, silence, time together.

Welcome to Klokkargarden - the quiet pearl in Aurland! The old part of the house was built 1947 and we are now the 4th and 5th generation living here. It has always been Marit’s favourite place and it is growing on Espen as well. The new part of the house where you find your flat was was finished 2018. The outdoor area is still "work in progress" - but lift your eyes and you can see the beauty of the Aurlandsfjord. The flat is well suited for 2-3 adults or 2 adults plus 2 young children.

Du kan leie badestamp, el-sykler, SUP brett eller en snerten Fiat 500 for å farte rundt (mot betaling, 1500,- for stamp). Flotte turmuligheter i nærmiljøet. Fjell og vann! The "Firehouse" was built in 2004 with all the modern qualities. There are heating cables on the floor, private terrace, a great wood-fired back oven and a growing area just outside. The house includes a bedroom and loft. Just outside the door you will find popular hiking and cycling trails. 6 min drive to Sogndal center, 4 min away is Kaupanger center with grocery and ViteMeir center, nice for big and small! 2 min away you will find pool, playground and fitness center.

The cabin is one of 4 self catering, 3 bedroom cabins/rorbuer beautifully situated on the waters edge a 5 min walk from the Flåm station/harbour. Best location in Flåm with panoramic views. The use of a boat with a small outboard is included in the price, unfortunately not in winter. Wifi, satellite TV, Bluetooth speaker, wood burner, dishwasher, clothes washing machine, microwave plus fully equipped kitchen. Free private parking. Australian/Norwegian hosts.
