Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Moretown

We had an amazing stay at Bjorn's beautiful home where it was as picture-perfect as advertised! It is a gorgeous and modern home that was clean, well-stocked, and uniquely designed in such stunning surroundings (even in the rainy weather!). We cannot recommend Bjorn's home enough and are so appreciative of his accommodations in helping us celebrate our Middlebury grad!

Overall we very much enjoyed modern rural space. Kiss the Cow farm about 5min drive was amazing& we got most all main food there w/ additional items from Barnard General Store. Spices/ cookware were very good - we brought nonstick pans& 1 knife to supplement. Plenty bowls, measuring cups/spoons, maybe a set of tom collins glasses would be nice albeit stemless wine and rocks glasses available. Needs garlic/onion powder. Tub was amazing/ upstairs bathroom a true getaway/ relaxing space. It was as pictured albeit note spiral staircase &open grated flooring upstairs. Plenty of windows albeit not much cross breeze so think ahead if bring own fan and/or start A/C before get too warm. I would say you must have an SUV year round for this rental - surrounding roads/ driveway are a good distance on rough dirt/gravel - traversable yet a sportier car with low profile tires/ ground clearance would not work. We enjoyed simply walking driveway& East Barnard Rd. Barnard Inn restaurant worth it.

The Barnbrook House was like something from a fairytale. It was more spacious than we thought looking at the photos. I loved my stay here, Dana was very communicative and timely. The fireplace was a great feature of the accommodation which we made good use of. I liked how there was an off grid vibe without actually being too far away from modern conveniences like Wifi, TV, AC. I would stay here again.

We were two couples who came in for two nights to attend a meeting, and to enjoy some hiking and biking in the local area. Mary Ellen's home provided us with a quiet and comfortable place to start and end our days. The kitchen was well equipped for us to prepare meals, and we had plenty of room both on the back patio and the living room area to relax at the end of the day. We can easily recommend this home to others visiting the Waterbury/Stowe area.

We just did a long end of the season ski weekend and stayed at Carl’s. It was perfect for my wife, two small kids and mother in law. The house is very nice and had all the amenities listed. The kitchen was well stocked. The view of the deck and sound of the river is beautiful and relaxing. We arrived later at night and he had a nice welcome bag and some coffee. Carl is also very helpful with local suggestions and was very responsive. Vehicle Note: the road to Carl’s is an unpaved hilly road. If you are visiting in the mud season (late march up to June) when the ground begins the thaw, you will need a proper AWD SUV.

We loved spending our time in Vermont at Bonnie’s place! The house had everything we needed and Bonnie was a great and responsive host. The horses next door were such a treat for our kids to see and the views were beautiful.

My stay was exactly what I needed. I would actually say the pictures don’t do the space justice! It’s far bigger than depicted in my opinion. I was very comfortable and felt at home when I was there. It was really nice to enjoy walking around Montpelier with Mary Beth’s home as my access point. Very grateful for my stay in this sweet not so tiny home!

Dawnside is just as beautiful in person as in the photos. We had a wonderful time and appreciated the views, privacy, and cleanliness of the property. Erich is a great host and the house manual is detailed and useful. We would visit again!

Great place to stay for skiing Sugarbush or Mad River Glen, convenient to restaurants and shops. Very quiet setting, just be prepared for a little bit of non-paved road to climb to access it. The apartment felt more spacious and open than I expected, and accommodated 3 adults quite comfortably. Wax bench was a nice bonus for us skiers!

We had the most fantastic stay with Sheila and Jeremy! The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. Sheila was a proactive and responsive communicator. But what stood out to us more than anything were the various thoughtful touches provided during our stay. We arrived late, after a long drive, and Sheila and Jeremy were there to meet us in person and help carry our bags inside. They had fresh muffins waiting and even left some snacks (cheese, crackers, grapes) in the fridge in case we hadn’t eaten dinner. They also provided coffee, tea, milk, honey, which was great in the mornings, and we so appreciated having access to the washer & dryer to do some laundry. Overall, we can’t say enough good things about our stay and we hope to return!

We had a wonderful stay at the Monty's place -- the apartment was well stocked with many thoughtful items, the area is very peaceful and near to outdoor activities, and the hosts were friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Had a great weekend at this house. It was close to the road but they provide sound machines for sleeping, but I didn’t even need it. Would definitely stay here again!

Ideal, beautiful location for visiting Middlebury and this gorgeous region of Vermont. The setting by the river is stunning and soothing. The unit is very comfortable and has everything you need. The host is gracious and welcoming. We feel so fortunate to have found this lovely location!

We had a great holiday weekend in Charlotte at Robert's apartment. It was close to the mountains we wanted to climb and a nature preserve where we skied. Close to Burlington and Middlebury where we found dinner each night. The apartment is cozy and comfortable; really a delightful place. We also met Robert who was funny and the perfect host. We stayed during a massive winter storm that dumped so much snow on the area and Robert was always very interested in making sure we could get out of the driveway! There were also thoughtful snacks and what not for us when we arrived which is such a nice bonus. We will definitely check to see if the apartment is available the next time we come to VT. Thank you so much, Robert! We hope to stay with you again soon.

We loved Tim’s apartment for our Stowe ski weekend. It was just as described and in a beautiful setting. Tim was also great to communicate with and very accommodating when we had some last minute changes to our plans. Will definitely stay here again on a return trip - highly recommend!

Chris and Melissa's place was perfect. Few minutes from downtown, everything we needed. Spent a few minutes talking to Melissa when we first arrived. Awesome host. Apartment was clean, plenty of space and no clutter. Would stay there again!

We just completed our second stay at Ted and Linda’s beautiful and serene cabin! It was as immaculate as the first time we stayed last year. Everything is as described and pictured. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly and responsive hosts. My husband and I are grateful to have found this peaceful cozy cabin in the mountains of Vermont! 10/10

Tania was so friendly and helpful. Her property was immaculate - I could have sat in front of her pond forever! All of her animals, including Chewy, were super cute and interactive. Her cabin was so cozy and beautiful. Perfect size for just one person or two people at most. I would so stay here again!

The whole trip was fantastic and Jonathan was a great host, answering all of our questions with speedy responses and having the cabin stuffed with board games, extra blankets, and even a little stash of good coffee in the freezer. Thank you again for an amazing time!

Claudia's place was EXACTLY what we were looking for on our VT getaway. Close to Stowe and Morristown, yet outside the madness of being in town. Claudia was the perfect host......accommodative, Fast response to messages, friendly and helpful. Despite other cabins on the property, this place was very private. Mr Charlie loved the fenced in yard to run loose in and the deck was perfect for sitting and relaxing. Would definitely consider this space again on our next trip to VT.

This was a great and peaceful place for my girlfriend and I to spend some time away from home. The house was amazing, Agnes was prepared for everything and gave us more than enough information about everything regarding the house, town, and safety. We would 100% come back and highly suggest this place!

The cabin was in a great location, only a couple minutes to town and 10 minutes or so to lots of great restaurants and hiking trails just outside of town. We definitely enjoyed our stay here as we explored Stowe.

Great little getaway. My fiancé and I were able to have a peaceful retreat to this beautiful cabin. The scenery is breathtaking. Quiet, private, and off grid in all the right places. Peggy was so sweet and her pup too! Would love to visit this perfect little cabin again.

My husband and I were looking for a romantic/peaceful getaway for our anniversary this year and this fit in every way. The photos don’t do the view justice. Absolutely stunning. The apple trees were in bloom and smelled amazing, the whole atmosphere was perfect. The cabin was beautiful and rustic, but also very clean. The cows across the street were adorable to watch as well. We went to local places to eat that had great food! Travis was super friendly and polite and his pup Winni was adorable. We felt right at home for being away from home. My husband and I highly recommend this spot for the perfect getaway!!
