[1 group per day] Starlit Sauna Hidden Private Lodging/20-minute drive from Morioka Station/Private Retreat Twinkle Stars

A short drive from the city of Morioka. Twinkle Stars, a secluded rental inn perched atop a mountain. There, away from everyday life, a special time just for them passes slowly. Outside the inn, there is a spacious, large wooden deck measuring approximately 350 square meters. This location offers the unique sense of openness characteristic of a mountain setting, with the sky stretching far and wide. At night, you can leisurely enjoy the endless night sky and a sky full of stars. One of the unique charms of this inn is that, as the city lights recede into the distance, the twinkling of the stars seems even more beautiful. At night, the area around the deck is softly illuminated, creating a special, almost magical atmosphere as it contrasts with the pitch-black darkness that surrounds it. In spring, the cherry blossoms bloom, and spending time enjoying the scenery is truly special. Surrounded by the sounds of a campfire, the clear air, and soft lighting, you can enjoy a moment where you forget about your everyday worries. In addition, we offer an outdoor barrel sauna that you can enjoy under the starry sky. Time spent “taking care of yourself” in nature makes your stay even more special. Time just for us, without anyone to disturb us. Enjoy a special evening at Twinkle Stars, surrounded by wide-open skies and a sky full of stars.

A 10-minute walk from central Morioka On the banks of the Nakatsugawa River… An inn brimming with Morioka charm, available to one group per day “Oyakuen-mae”

Enjoy a timeless experience at this inn, surrounded by the garden of the Nanbu family, lords of the Morioka domain (now the Morioka Chuo Community Center Garden), and the Nakatsugawa River, a symbol of Morioka that has flowed through the heart of the castle town since the Edo period. Just a 1-minute walk away across the street is a strolling garden. According to legend, this garden was known as the “Oyaku-en” because it was used to grow medicinal herbs for Morioka Castle. Located right in front of it, this house displays a sign that reads “Oyakuenmae” and began offering private lodging in April 2026. We are renovating this 50-year-old building to create a space that honors the past while embracing the future. Our goal is to create a home-like stay in Iwate where you'll feel at ease and want to return again and again. We are dedicated to helping you enjoy a truly relaxing experience here.
