Our stay at The Charming Retreat was unforgettable! From the stunning views to the cozy, well-appointed accommodations, everything exceeded our expectations. The backyard patio was the perfect spot to relax, and the beds were so comfortable we slept like logs. Brenda and Rich’s hospitality truly set this experience apart. After an accident outside Morton on our drive into Mossyrock, they went above and beyond to help us. The next day, they kindly offered us a ride to Olympia to pick up our rental car, making a stressful situation much easier. Their local recommendations also led us to some fantastic eateries. If you’re considering booking, do it! This property is a slice of paradise, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you, Brenda, for making our trip so special!

Absolutely great host! Cabin was just what we hoped for. Happy surprised when an elk walked into the compound on our first day over! Just one point on what we missed from the description: The master bedroom is an open room in the top floor. So anyone sleeping there should expect compromised privacy from friends/family in living room or kitchen. The property itself is private and had nothing to worry about.

We will absolutely be back if they’ll have us! This stay was peaceful during what is seemingly a busy holiday weekend everywhere else. We enjoyed listening to all the birds chirping while eating breakfast on the patio in the mornings. The best was so comfortable that I had some of the best sleep I’ve had in a year. I even messaged the host to ask if they could tell me the brand haha. The kitchen appliances were very handy. Everything was very clean and tidy. Walking the farm was quiet and beautiful. We really enjoyed driving down to the lake and spending the day there. It was within 20 mins of a lot of beautiful sights. It felt like we were so much further from home than we were. Bob was super responsive and kind in messaging. He was quick and thorough. We also met a gentleman on the farm who was extremely friendly, but I didn’t catch his name. This was a 10/10 visit for us! Thank you Bob!

Celebrated my ten year anniversary here. The cabin was perfect for what we wanted; a short getaway that focused on eachother. The table was perfect for the board games we brought. The couch was comfortable to snuggle on while watching a nighttime move. The second floor balcony provided an easy way to get a quick glimpse of the star filled night sky before bed. We both already agreed that we would absolutely come back! It also helps that we got to bring along our dog, allowing us peace of mind concerning dog care. Thank you to the host for making everything from check in to check out smooth.

fantastic stay! spacious home with a few beds and so many little amenities that made it feel like such a comfortable stay. the hot tub, a comfortable Temperpedic bed, heated bathroom floors, CHICKENS WITH EGGS. wonderfully priced based on other stays in the area. very private, easy to find. there is a bit of highway noise, but that is limited especially after the sun goes down. you can't hear it inside the house either way. we will be back if we're ever looking to hike near the any of the big three mountains. 😊

Such a great place! Comfortable, clean, inviting, and not cluttered - felt right at home. Ate all of our meals at the house, and never struggled with the kitchen amenities. Grill, Brita water container, coffee supplies - all went to good use! Loved the small touches, like the s’mores supplies, motion-activated step lights to loft area. Plenty of space for the four of us (parents and two college students). There’s a tri-fold sleeping pad available in the laundry area (wash supplies included), which proved useful - and according to our camping-oriented eldest - super comfortable. Broader neighborhood is quiet, and is a mix of rentals and locals. House next door - as of this writing - is still under construction, but nothing was going on there during our stay. Small home on the other side was only occupied one night. So we felt like we had the cul-de-sac to ourselves. Julia is a great host - responsive and not at all hassled by questions or needs.
