‘Karbeethong Hill’ is a completely SC private one bedroom unit with QS bed. Ensuite, fully equipt kitchen/living room. The apartment has fantastic views overlooking the lake and Howe Range with garden furniture and barbecue on the private deck. All bed linen and towels, tea/coffee making machine and coffee pods supplied. This home is on the top of Karbeethong hill so there are stairs to access the unit, very manageable with handrails and good night lighting.

The check-in process was very smooth! We really loved this place — although it’s not very large, the layout is very smart and well thought out. The kitchenware is of excellent quality, and both the coffee machine and kettle worked perfectly. Everything was clean, convenient, and just right. It’s located in a beautiful seaside town that we truly enjoyed. My family and I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back again!

Rest @ Bastion was a great place to stay for our weekend in Mallacoota. The house was lovely, clean and had all we needed for the weekend. It got quite cold over the weekend but the heating was perfect and kept us toasty and warm. It’s a beautiful spot and we will be back again. 5 ⭐️

One of the more beautiful, relaxing places we’ve visited. Nestled within the rolling hills, miles from nowhere, the residence is architecturally designed and beautifully styled, replete with everything you’ll need for a truly luxurious stay. It’s warm and cosy with heated floors, and there’s a rustic firepit at night outside that’s perfect for sitting in front of and sipping a glass of red wine. Likewise, the beds are very comfortable. Location-wise, it’s serene, with lots of nice, meandering walks to be enjoyed – including down to a scenic rocky river where the trout are always leaping, if fishing is your thang. The views are stunning in every direction. High up on the ridgeline overlooking the property, a trail of monolithic wind turbines stretches to the horizon, revolving in slow, majestic fashion. The hosts are also lovely, warm-hearted people with a very cute and friendly little Jack Russell. A very special place in a totally unique part of Australia. Highly recommend.

We loved the peaceful and private space Jesse created. The night sky was particularly mesmerising as there was no light pollution in this private forest! We went in the peak of winter but I bet it’s amazing in the summer!
