In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). This is a tranquil castle town where people still live their lives today.Feel the elegance and forget your busy daily life in a spacious and quiet room in an old traditional house. This is the location where the movie "Father of the Galactic Railroad" was filmed and released in May 2023.Mankatsu Shoten also appears in that movie.The scene in the used bookstore with Koji Yakushiro was filmed at this inn. You can get to the Iwamura Castle site on foot or by car.Come and see what battles you've had here. There are not a lot of tourists like other tourist destinations, so you can have the city life to yourself.Iwamura fans, please continue to come. After 4 pm, you'll be surprised by the eerie silence.Walking down the main street at night, you'll see a row of paper lanterns that look like paper lanterns, and it's very magical. On the "summer solstice" day, the sunset falls straight ahead of the street and you can see the very beautiful scenery.(Depending on the weather, about 1 week, around 6:30 pm, around mid-June of each year) We also operate retro kimono rentals and dressing in this building.If you would like to wear a kimono, please make a reservation.Guests staying with us will have a discounted price. You can enjoy a relaxing bath while watching the garden from the open-air bath. The inn is located in Sanmachi, where there is an old town, and Kamisannomachi is just a short walk away. You can also walk to the Yatai Kaikan of Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, Hiei Shrine, and Takayama Jinya. Hida has many tourist attractions such as Shirakawago, Okuhida Onsen Village, and Shinhotaka Ropeway. There is a bus from Takayama City, making it easy to visit. You can enjoy Hida while staying at our inn.

This is an old house built 221 years ago, located in the center of Tsumago-juku. The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely.
