Great location. Public transport connections to Valetta via bus or ferry. We hired a car and we always had a space to park. The road was very narrow so parking was a little difficult but all the locals were friendly and offered to help. The place itself was perfect. Especially loved the little balcony

If I could give 6 stars I would! GOZO was incredible. Excellent stay, everything was as described. Clean with everything you would need as a family of 5. The house was perfect in every way. I cannot recommend this house and host enough. Our best stay in Malta.

Lovely place, the location was very good, perfect little and private pool yard. Isa and Jean Paul was very easy and nice to communicate with. The place is located close to a bustop making it very easy to get around Malta

Doreen's house in Hamrun is absolutely stunning. The photos don't do it justice, there is so much space and the outside areas are fantastic - a patio sheltered by grapevines and the roof terrace which catches the sun all day long. The local area is a short trip from the busy areas, but has plenty of bus connections and a couple of quaint pastizzerijas to grab a snack while waiting for the bus. No noisy party goers or clubs was very nice in the evenings. Our stay was over what I believe was a bit of a heatwave, daily temperatures of 32-35 degrees in June. The kitchen and master bedroom have air conditioning available, but the second room did get quite hot. Everything else was perfect, and we cannot wait to visit again. Grazzi ħafna!

The house was so beautiful and was easily walkable to some great restaurant and bars. We were able to easily get to Valletta when we wanted, but it was nice to be able to get away for some peace and quiet. The rooftop was our absolute favourite and had stunning sunsets every night. Thank you so much for having us :)

We had a lovely stay in Rabat! We absolutely loved the house, the bed and shower were fantastic, and the roof terrace is perfect to relax with some drinks. Thanks, Luana and Joe!

We were a group of 6 and felt comfortable in the home. Each bedroom has its own bath so that was nice. Location is walkable to the waterfront where there are tons of restaurants to choose from. A great market is right around the corner from the house with all the basics you need for your stay. Host met us at the house to show us around as well. Limited supplies of toilet paper, trash bags, dish detergent are provided so you’ll likely have to pick up some of those items for your stay. No real storage in the bathrooms for products - we ended up moving a bedside table into our bathroom for some extra space during the stay. Otherwise - very nice home and Malta is beautiful!

For a short while, we lived in a beautiful building, a part Malta history. The home is gorgeous, once in a lifetime stay. Location was close to public transit, allowing us to visit the country, end to end. Susan was very responsive and was available within minutes when we had any questions. So reassuring. Great experience.

Super clean, very well furnished, good location, very easy and helpful communication with the wonderful hosts - highly recommend!

We stayed here for 6 nights in June and we loved it. It's at the bottom end of town and only a short walk to strait street and merchant street. Its a short walk to Fort St. Elmo and the war museum. Sally Port Pizza direclty opposite the house does great pizza and salads and also has a "happy hour" between 4pm and 7pm which was great to start an evening. Nice coffee in the mornings too. We didn't really use any kitchen facilities other than the fridge and freezer but it is well equipped. Bed is comfy and the AC & fan in the bedroom are a godsend after 32 degrees all day. Excellent bathroom facilities and enough towels are provided - and even a couple of beach towels for a dip in the sea. It can get noisy at night and some mornings so be prepared for that. Road noises, music, loud cars and bikes etc, you are in the capital after all! Martin (host) was super responsive to any queries during our stay and flexible with check-in and check-out times due to our flight times.

Wonderful hidden home in the most beautiful town opposite the water to Valletta. Be aware it’s a town house, so lots of stairs to navigate with luggage. We had been warned re building work next door from 8 each morning but actually they started much earlier than 8 although it was only on 2 of our 5 day stay. Kitchen was well stocked if you were dining in, beds were very comfortable, air con a must, roof terrace a joy although strict instructions not to make any noise after 9.30pm deterred us from sitting and enjoying it in the evenings. Location is excellent, read all the notes about parking your car as we got stung day 1 with a ticket, and be prepared to leave it some distance away and walk up to the house. Locals were friendly, 3 minute walk to a small square with a few restaurants and convenience stores. Overall a truly authentic place to stay in Malta and we would definitely recommend it.

This trip was our second visit to this area. We returned because we felt that the architecture and way of life was more authentic than the newly built areas of the island. The property was nicely renovated and the facilities met our needs very well. Two points of note - the shower is excellent both in terms of flow and temperature and the second point is that the A/C works perfectly and noise free. The location of the property is ideal within easy reach of a variety of restaurants, the Valletta ferry and a decent 'Convenience Store'. Free parking is on the doorstep and if you have a rental car (We paid £4 per day), the island exploration is at your fingertips - as well as a choice of Lidl stores!

This is a truly exceptional location, you feel like you have the citadel to yourself at night (well you and the bells). The apartment is spacious and comfortable, with an enormous roof deck. The layout is rather eccentric, as you'd expect from an ancient building, but it works. Highly recommended, for anyone looking to stay in the area.

A perfect peaceful spot in Qala! Lovely touches which made us feel at home, lots of nearby bars and restaurants and a beautiful beach too. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, would highly recommend. 💖

We had a lovely time at the farmhouse. There are plenty of amenities in the town a short walk from the house (including a good bakery, 'Dolceria Ropa' {get the pastizi!} and pizzeria, 'Tal-Latini'). Ramla beach (beautifully sandy) is walkable (40mins). We felt right at home and appreciated the ample space available in the house. The kitchen was well stocked meaning it was straightforward to cook on several occasions. The beds were reasonably comfortable so we mostly slept well, however the back top floor bedroom could use better blackout curtains as the balcony doors do not have shutters unlike the other bedrooms. The pool is a reasonable size and quite deep at 1.5-2m (no shallow area so inflatables needed for younger children and important to keep a close eye on them). We would have appreciated access to a more suitable cleaning net for the pool to properly clear some debris, however we just about made do with the small nets available. All in all a great place to stay!

A Wonderful Stay with an Amazing Host! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Ortrud's beautiful home, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, Ortrud was incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. The house itself is gorgeous and located in a central area, providing easy access to fantastic restaurants by the harbor. One of the highlights for me was the outdoor shower—what a treat! The home is well-equipped with all the amenities you could need. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like a wonderful selection of herbal teas in the kitchen and plenty of towels available. Ortrud truly went above and beyond when we misplaced a key; she addressed the situation promptly and ensured we had quick access back to the house. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and I would highly recommend staying at Ortrud's place if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed! --

This self-catering property was perfect for our stay, with clean linens, towels, and convenient appliances like a washing machine and hairdryer. Starter supplies were a nice touch, and restocking essentials was easy thanks to helpful grocery just downstairs. The local tips on transportation, parking, and getting around were spot on, making it simple to explore Malta. Highly recommended for its cleanliness, amenities, and attention to detail!
