“The Small House” was exactly what we needed, a peaceful place to rest. The house was a great size with a lot of charm and character. Two great living spaces and a deck. The beds were comfortable, soft but firm. Nice hot showers with good pressure. The property was beautiful and the creek was bigger than expected. The location was also beautiful. We saw quite a bit of wildlife on the way. We walked to the market just down a little and across the street. There were restaurants and ice cream nearby. Also, opportunities for a great hike. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

This was a great stay for a peaceful, private weekend getaway! It was about 10 min drive to a few restaurants and breweries and hiking wasn’t too far either! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay during my daughter's wedding weekend. The home is well equipped with much of what anyone could need during a weekend away. The decor is welcoming and not overdone. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep, relax, and hang out. The outdoor space is especially nice!

Our spring weekend at the Critzer House was all that we hoped and more. Super clean and plenty of room for everyone to be together, and apart when we wanted; a gas grill to fix barbecue at home; and a lovely fire pit to enjoy in the evening. The location is perfect for those that want to enjoy all that the Nelson 150 Craft Beverage Trail has to offer. Can't recommend enough as the perfect place to stay!

Great stay! Perfect location and space was great. A tad smaller than what it looked like in the photos, but overall, great! The kitchen did not have any pantry space, but we made do with a shelf above the microwave and bins on top of the fridge. A day prior to check-in, I received an email stating the pool in the complex was closed for repairs. A bit disappointed at first, but it ended up working out really well. We had access to the SPA indoor and outdoor pools and the outdoors ended up being too cold to swim in. The indoor pool was no problem at all and they were very accommodating with lettings us have access throughout our stay. We would stay here again for sure!

Great place, very cozy yet plenty of space. Well stocked and well outfitted. Looking forward to going back.

Spent a long weekend at Tupelo, we had outdoor plans every day and we're able to come and go with ease. The amenities were great and the house was cozy. The night life near by was fun but, we had just as much fun cooking in and sitting by the fire too. It is certainly a home away from home.

Wow, this was a fantastic stay! Four of us take an annual trip out to the mountains for hiking and wineries and we try out a new house every year. This was one of the best! So cute, nicely stocked with everything we needed, roomy, convenient location, and very clean. Elise was fantastic to communicate with. She was super prompt on any questions we had. And it was really fun to have all kinds of unique and handmade items throughout the cottage that we could buy. After a long day of hiking it was fun to "shop" at home. We also love all their sustainable products and tips. It's located directly across from Devil's Backbone Brewery, and it's a super easy location to get to the hiking we had planned. We made a fire out back in the fire pit which was such a great way to end our weekend. Highly recommend!

Camille's place at Wintergreen was perfectly situated for our weekend at Devil's Backbone. The house was clean and tidy, it was easy to find, and her directions and instructions for getting there and getting in the house were spot on. it's an adorable little place and has plenty of room with the three bedrooms. We would love to come back and rent again. Our dog loved it too!!

We had a fantastic stay! Would love to book again. The space has a great lay-out, comfortable rooms, and the deck has a great private view overlooking the golf course. It’s a great location by overlooks, trails, and restaurants. The hosts were amazing and friendly, and very responsive . Thanks again for a great trip!

We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and had a great time. The house was even bigger and cozier than I anticipated and the views were gorgeous. We loved being on the same property as Cardinal Point Winery and walked down to do a tasting/enjoy some bottles. The kitchen was stocked with all the tools we could have needed and the pool area was great!

This place was great! Conveniently located with tons of things to do, many walkable from the condo. The photos and descriptions were super accurate and our dogs even felt welcomed! We appreciated the convenience of The Market, The Edge, Upper Crust, and really enjoyed all of the Memorial Day activities that Dave ad Paige let us know were happening. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventuring. Dave and Paige were super hosts all the way around. We'd love to come back here again!

Susie’s place was PERFECT for my weekend of solitude and peace. I was able to relax and just take it easy in a comfortable home with a beautiful view. The home was clean and felt so comfortable. There were lots of personal touches that really show Susie put a lot of thought into the space. For example, the motion sensor nightlights in the bathrooms. And the dimmable lights in the bedroom. Check in and check out instructions were very clear and easy to follow, she even included a map of where to park! I can’t say enough great things about this experience.

I’d argue that this is one of the best places to stay in Wintergreen. The cabin itself is perfect. We are a young family and it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The location is also perfect. It is very close to all the attractions on the resort. Clay was a great host as well. The perfect amount of communication; engaged without being intrusive. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be sure their trip is easy and successful!

Fantastic place to stay and a very good host. Communication from the host was always extremely fast, detailed, and helpful. The space itself is fantastic - perfect view of the Blue Ridge Mountains skyline and sunset. Also, especially in the skiing off-season (which it was for our visit), it’s very close to Devil’s Backbone, Bold Rock, Three Notch’d, etc, but you are still far enough away to feel like you’ve gotten away from everything. There’s also a solid-looking pizza restaurant in walking distance, though we did not make it there during our visit. The condo has 2 stories that both serve their purpose very nicely - the upstairs has a nice living space and a clean, very usable kitchen. The downstairs has bunk beds and you could walk from the downstairs patio to the slopes. In the offseason, there is a nice hiking trail that is no more than 100 yards away. Overall, we had a blast and would love to return! Thank you!

My wife and I really enjoyed a weekend getaway at Mikki’s place. The condo has a great location with beautiful views and access to nearby Wintergreen amenities, and we took advantage of the less than 20 minute drive to multiple of the Nelson 151 breweries. Mikki is very responsive and we appreciated her recommendations and help in getting us get access to a nearby pool. Would stay again!

My husband and I, along with our miniature dachshund, had a wonderful stay at Margaret’s cabin. The space was charming, cozy, and well-equipped—everything we needed was right there in the kitchen to prepare all our meals. We especially enjoyed using the grill one evening for a relaxing cookout. The property is peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. We loved the location—close to plenty of beautiful hiking spots. We hiked Crabtree Falls, just five miles away, and also explored the nearby St. Mary's Falls Trail. Margaret was an excellent host and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We’d happily stay here again!

We stayed here for my daughter’s college graduation and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The condo was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family of four. We didn’t spend much time there (graduation weekends are a blur), but it had everything we needed. It’s about an hour from Lynchburg, Virginia, and the location was ideal for us. Quiet, convenient, and a great fit for our weekend plans. The host was wonderful—responsive, flexible, and easy to communicate with. They helped us adjust our reservation and answered all our questions before and during our stay. I have nothing but praise. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a well-kept, stress-free place to stay.

Michael's mountainside cabin was very nice and the views were great. The cabin sits atop a mountain and is very private and peaceful. The cabin was fully stocked and all amenities were provided. It was pleasant sitting on the large front porch on the morning enjoying our breakfast looking at the mountains and watching the deer walk through the yard. The fire pit at night was very nice and relaxing and all the firewood was provided. The internet was fast and there was plenty of TV options available if you want to watch TV. There are plenty of wineries that offer tastings within 15-20 minutes of the cabin which were very good. There is a cool pizza place, Dr. Ho's Humble Pie, in the town of North Garden, about 30 minutes away. The 'main' road leading to the cabin driveway is a gravel road and the driveway up to the cabin is a steep, winding gravel stone road and you may need an SUV or truck to access the last 100 yards to the cabin. I would recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.

Nancy and her husband were the nicest and super helpful. The property was gorgeous, the amenities and furniture were super comfortable. The first night was spent telling stories around the fire and enjoying the beautiful stars. My wife and I are foodies and ordered local chicken, pork and beef from Nancy which we prepared for a lovely family dinner on our second night. Check in and check out could not have been any easier. If you go to Lynchburg and you enjoy pastries and coffee go check out The Flour District.

Spent New Year's with my husband and two Yorkies nestled deep in the woods, and it was everything I hoped for—and more! The property is surrounded by towering trees, offering a sense of tranquility and seclusion that's hard to come by. The bed deserves a special mention— it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! We spent all three days hiking some of the best trails and relaxed comfortably watching TV in the evenings with a nice glass of Malbec. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat where you can reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort, this Airbnb is the perfect choice. I’ll definitely be returning! Thank you Jerry and Chris.

We had a fantastic experience. Gloria’s place is super clean, cozy and comfortable. Truly a peaceful escape, surrounded by nature, with great hiking trails nearby. Highly recommended.

We came into town for a graduation at Liberty University. The house is on a dirt road well off the beaten path (which I love). It was a very beautiful area, very peaceful even with neighbors nearby. We were delighted to find that the host gifted us a 6 pack of Bold Rock Cider, which oddly enough is my favorite cider (I’m gluten free). Everything was clean, with the exception of the inside of the fridge. My kids played their hearts out running around the yard, swinging, roasting marshmallows. My only complaint is the tiny showers, but I’m claustrophobic 😂😂 otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and would stay again!

Elizabeth was a great host and the Cabin was a wonderful place to stay! We would be happy to stay there again!
