You live in a rural area, but at the same time centrally. A short drive from the apartment takes you to Eidsvoll station. From here there are 3/4 trains per hour that take you to Oslo Airport in 9 min. and to Oslo S in 34 min.

A few days here, and you will feel like new - away from all the hustle and bustle. Gamle Hvam is nearby, which is an old manor that has now become a museum and is worth a visit. There are several hiking trails in the area, so there is a great opportunity for activity and walks. The nearest stores are Neskollen, Vormsund and Årnes Sentrum.

Fjellstua in Nes

Welcome to Fjellstua in Nes municipality – a charming cottage from 1927, located high and free and in the immediate vicinity of nature. The property is located approx. 6 km from Årnes city center, where you will find the train station and most service offers. Right outside the door you will find a large forest area (approx. 10 km²) with both marked and unmarked hiking trails. Here you can pick blueberries, lingonberries and chanterelles in season – and we have provided berry pickers for free use.

There are plenty of hiking tracks in the forest, and we have two bikes for rent so you can explore the countryside roads. Storsjøen is a large lake great for fishing both in the summer and winter. In the summer, you can take the river down to the village of Skarnes, situated on Norway's longest river Glomma. We have a boat, a canoe and a kayak for rent.

The location is a historic farm, with a sauna and jacuzzi available (for an extra charge), a bathing pier, a canoe, a large outdoor area, animals (alpacas, ponies, minipigs, a cat and hens), and lovely views.

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of space for fun. This is our private home, so private items in drawers and cabinets are of course present. All the equipment you can expect to find in a home is in place, and we are constantly working to make the home better. Therefore, there will occasionally be traces of ongoing work, but nothing that matters for your stay.
