Holiday rentals with a kayak in New Haven

Great location with amazing views. I can only imagine how lovely it would be in summer for a little getaway. .

We had a lovely stay for our 10th anniversary. The cabin had so much charm and we spent a lot of time by the lake. We also enjoyed farmers market and cute downtown of new Milford.

My husband and I had a family filled weekend for our wedding followed by a mini-moon. We enjoyed every minute of it and we will definitely be booking again!

We had a great time at Jennifer’s house, the house is beautiful and very clean , it looks just like the pictures , and it was perfect for our family , the neighborhood is very quiet and friendly, her house is perfectly located within walking distance of restaurants, and sites.

Fantastic cute spot in Old Saybrook. Key things for future guests to know - there is no A/C in the winter months so the air can get a bit stale / stuffy in the house. Plus there is no washing machine / dryer in the house, so defo bring enough clothes!

We loved staying in Angela’s home. Close to restaurants and walkable to the beach and marina. We spent a lot of time outside in the back yard, it was so peaceful back there. Instructions, tips and things to do are all laid out and Angela answered our questions promptly when we had any. Great stay!

Our stay included spending family time in front of the fireplace watching Disney shows and with time spent enjoying meals around the cozy kitchen table. Enjoyed our stay very much and hope to go back one day

We had a wonderful stay at Salty Kisses. The home is very comfortable and extremely well appointed. We enjoyed the proximity to the ocean as well as the ability to relax in the yard on the hammock or by the fire pit. Denise was very responsive to all communications and gave us lots of information about the area. Thank you for being such a great hostess!

Very clean, great communication, and a perfect little lakeside getaway for a young family. Our son loved all of the books and toys, and the golf cart was a HUGE hit! Christienne was very responsive and a great host. We had a great time. Would stay again! Add the new Indian spot nearby to your restaurant list! Sooo good! And #thecafe is a must go-to for breakfast. :)

Great place to stay - easy instructions to follow, house is even more spacious than it looks in photos, and the backyard is GREAT for dogs. Would definitely recommend.

Nice little spot with boats on the pond. Went there for my son’s Wesleyan graduation and could take family out on the kayaks.

Peaceful and beautiful water views. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and the kids loved playing in the water and on the sand bar despite the rocky beach. The house was welcoming and well stocked. It was very warm especially upstairs and took a while to cool down even with all the wall units on. The host was helpful and responsive whenever we reached out. Overall it was a lovely getaway spot!

This spot was absolutely wonderful. The lake was wonderful, fireplace was a perfect touch proximity to the elephants trunk flea market was a dream and don and Roz were a pleasure to work with. Local pizza from a menu in the cabin was perfect. I could write a novel on how much we loved this place. Definitely coming back. It was a pleasure :)

This cute, comfortable and sun-filled cottage was perfect for our needs, and close to where our son lives, which was great! Everything was just as pictured, super clean, beautiful main bathroom, very well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and tons of storage in master bedroom. Living room was spacious and comfortable and everything was nicely decorated. We took advantage of the kayaks, and the backyard grill, and the yard is gorgeous! We walked every morning. Catherine was helpful, responsive and flexible throughout our stay, and we are already making plans to return next year!

We absolutely loved our stay in Clinton! The apartment was beautiful and clean with an amazing view. We tried lots of local hot spots and had a great swim at nearby Hammonasset. Communication and instructions were excellent. We look forward to returning!

A charming and quiet lakeside property that is immaculately maintained and has all you could reasonably need. The hosts are responsive and friendly and the area has plenty to do if you'd like to stretch your legs after some time by/on the water.

We had a lovely 5-day stay at the cabin on the lake! It was just what we needed. When the weather was nice, we hung out on the dock - there was a hammock to relax in, chairs in the shed, boats to explore with (I went out in a kayak a few times). Lake was peaceful and pretty. The cabin itself was quirky and nice. Yes, hot inside during the days, but with the fully surrounding screened in porch, there was no need to stay inside! Even when it rained, we could be "outside" without being in the elements. The kitchen was well stocked, coffee at the ready, there were plenty of towels and sheets and bed (though we only needed one!), shampoo/ conditioner in the shower, wood ready for the fireplace, board games and more. Honestly, it had everything you'd want for a little getaway. The spot felt secluded while only 5 minutes away from a supermarket. [Okay, you could hear Rte 8 traffic a bit, but it served as calming white noise!] I'd definitely return again...

The cabin was super cute, comfortable and accommodating. It had everything we needed for a quick weekend away. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for a graduation near by, it was perfect for we were looking for. I wish the weather would have been a bit warmer to enjoy the water.

Very sweet cabin and lake area for a getaway. The cabin is nicely updated but still a rustic decor. Plenty of kitchen tools, coffee set-up, toiletries etc that are super useful. There is a private lake swim area that is a quick walk (4 minutes) from the house and a bigger town beach and also Bantam Lake a quick drive away. Nice dining (from casual to formal) and lots of ice cream options in the area. Our weekend was very hot so we only used the deck in the mornings for coffee but it was a lovely start to the day.

The house is super cute and has a lot going for it. The view of the water is lovely. The host is super responsive and wonderful. Beds are comfy and there are spacious bedrooms. We found an excellent Italian restaurant called Limoncello that your host will also recommend. We also did a sushi restaurant that was yummy. The area is gorgeous and you are set in the woods. So pretty! If we had more time we would've hiked. Just note there are a lot of steps to walk up to the entrance. We did not mind them but in case you have accessibility issues. The driveway is tough pulling out as you have to back out onto a super busy road of 45 mph. We had 2 cars but I don't believe you could turn a car around in that drive. We let the host know but we had lots of lights that did not work and the tub does not drain so hopefully they are fixed by the time you book this place. It also takes an enormous amount of time to get hot water. The washer and dryer takes 6 hours so you need to plan on that.
