Located in a historic 200 year old building "Ship Shape" is close to downtown but on a quiet tree-lined residential street. It is just one block to the library, bookstore, post office and all the lovely shops. It is on the shore of the Damariscotta River with wonderful views from inside and out.. You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood, the light, the outdoor space, and the comfortable bed. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.

What a wonderful spot! Gorgeous, quiet pond and relaxing wood fired sauna. Rheanna is a super responsive and helpful host. We'll be back! Just FYI - this cabin is a "three season" structure. Although it was super comfortable, it felt a little more like camping than we originally expected with some cool nights and mornings, a few insect frinds, and a short walk to the shared bathrooms and kitchen area.

This is such a lovely and unique home. It’s very well stocked and obviously lived in; it’s not a generic home that’s just for rentals. We came with two young kids and they were overjoyed by the amount of toys, games and stuffed animals. The home was reminiscent of European homes we’ve visited before, despite being in rural Maine. Great books line the shelves, art is everywhere, and the design is so interesting. Overall, would 100% recommended.

Another great stay with Jim and his family!! This was our second stay within 5 weeks and once again we were completely delighted with our stay. We had more time to visit with our hosts and so glad we took them up on their offer to show us around the property. The greenhouse tour was fantastic and we learned a lot of useful information which should help with our own grardens. The new cabin on the property is beautiful, and we already have plans on booking that next time we are in town. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing setting with super hosts look no further!

Edgecomb is a beautiful spot on the Sheepscot River. Caroline’s place is just as she described-a cozy condo. It had everything we needed for two overnights. Caroline’s communications were helpful, timely and thorough. We would stay here again.

Elaina’s cabins are a real life sanctuary! First off—the landscape felt like you were in a forest all while being on a lake. There were an abundance of Lady Slippers, a delicate Maine flower that is rarely seen, and beautiful vegetation surrounding the property. The sunsets and sound of peepers + loons at night were calming and therapeutic. The swimming was excellent—and the dock is not tippy but rather sturdy and unlike most and therefore great for older folks or people with limited mobility. Elaina had so many extra amenities for the outside like kayaks, floats, two diving docks, life jackets, fishing poles, etc. She also provided thick, quality beach towels, regular towels, and linens. She even provides nail files, pumice stone, clippers—there is a washer and dryer with detergent, tons of cookware, flatware + plates/bowls. There are tons of games and books too. The smaller cabin, The Roost, was our haven for the week. We rebooked for August. Overall, 12/10! 🥹

This was a perfect apt with 2 bedrooms for my sister and I to lay our heads after a long day at antique roadshow in boothbay. It was immaculate and so convenient to walk to Main Street restaurants and shops, and Daramiscotta River. Being right in town you’d expect more noise but the only thing we noticed was the ringing of the clock tower bells on the hour and that was memorable not annoying. We loved it.
