Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Nidwalden

Emmanuel's house is large, suitable for our family of 6. It is located in a peaceful village and we really enjoyed its setting and were lucky enough to have snow for Christmas.

Our family needed some rest and relaxation in nature with hiking trails right outside our door step. We got exactly that! What a beautiful cabin situated in the middle of the mountains at 1000m. The village of Isenthal was so picturesque. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay and wished it could have been longer. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with our family!

Hugely successful 'once in a lifetime' family skiing trip, largely due to our host John's exceptional help in all matters. There were 17 of us and everbody was happy with their sleeping arrangements. John located us looking lost in town, escorted us up the hill and put chains on our rental car. He was the perfect gentleman, calm, welcoming and helpful. Excellent support before and during our stay. The Racklette John and family produced was delicious, a novel meal and a first for most of us. Lots of little extras, like the Xmas tree and sleds for the kids. So much ice cream we could hardly finish it all! Oh, and the brand new kitchen.

This is a nice house just outside of downtown Engelberg. There is parking for 1 car in the small driveway, or two if you have a smaller vehicle that fits in the garage. You can walk a fairly short distance into town, but be ready for the long hill climb in the way home. The house had everything that we needed for a long weekend stay. The beds are comfortable. It’s a great value. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful 5 days at this beautiful cabin. The name is perfect. Heimeli. Very cozy, we felt right at home. The valley is spectacular. The ski area close. U. Is great for hiking and exploring in the summer. Matthes is a great host, very friendly and helpful. We‘ll be back!

Everything was super! Beautiful private house on the mountain with fantastic view, 3 min by car till Skilift. Super clean and comfortable. Feeling like at home. We were second time at Nic’s house. Will come again for sure. Thanks a lot, Nic!

We had an amazing stay at Hergiswil. The apartment had beautiful views over the lake and was clean, modern and spacious. It was a very convenient location if you are travelling by train. We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone

It was the best aparment for upto 5 people. For us Cleaning kithchen was big task to do on Holidays. It ws first time to use AIR BNB. I will reconsider taking airbnb next time as lot of energy needed to do cleaning after coming home and making food. However the place was very nice to stay.

Our stay experience at Maja and Heinz's place couldn't have been better. This is a pretty big space to live for a family of 4 or even upto 6 people. The house is in pristine condition, very clean. Beds are comfortable, two dining areas one in the kitchen, one in the living room and also a full dining table in the covered deck. The deck has beautiful views of the mountain. The kitchen is equipped all cooking utensils with everything what you need for making a meal. There are 4 grocery stores within 5 minutes distance. If you plan to visit Luzerne and Interlaken area, you can stay here at this one place. Luzerne is about 15-20 minutes and Interlaken is about 45-50 minutes. Maja is always very responsive, she usually responds within 15 minutes. Highly recommend this place.

Our stay at Nora's was excellent. The apartment keeps what it promises in the pictures. Nora is extremely friendly and provided us in advance with all the necessary information about the apartment and its use. The apartment is decorated with a lot of love, so you immediately felt comfortable. We will be happy to come back!

Beautifully furnished apartment with all the comforts. Secluded high in the mountains, giving a lot of peace, ideal for walks and unwind. Clear instructions and host is quick to respond. We had a very nice time at Yvonne's apartment.

Heidi is a GREAT HOST! Our stay at her accommodation was great. She is warm, friendly and genuinely interested in her guests. Heidi gave us valuable tips about the area, even though I knew the area already well. We had nice conversations when we ran into each other around the house, but she also totally respected our privacy. The lower house was exceptionally clean, the kitchen was well equipped to prepare simple but good meals. The garden offered several seating areas, but we always chose the beautiful view of the mountains. Heidi was very attentive, like when she put an extra umbrella on the terrace on a hot day to keep it comfortable. She also sometimes surprised us with fresh figs and we were allowed to use herbs from her garden. The location is perfect: quiet, yet centrally located. Directly behind the house start beautiful hiking trails through the mountain meadows. We had a memorable time and will definitely be back. Absolutely recommended!!

Ray's has an amazing special hostel and it's truly great to stay here! I stayed for only one night, but when I came in, I was instantly greeted and given a tour of the house which is very luxurious! It was great meeting the other people staying there and the view in the morning is truly amazing! I will definitely come back next time I stay in Switzerland!

The cottage was beautiful! Ideal for the skiers who want to ski directly from home. House was very clean! Esther was very helpful and you can definitely count on her!

We were warmly welcomed! Place was very neat and clean. We received a lot of travel tips. It was still a little too fresh for the natural pool (for our taste) but it looked great! Certainly very refreshing in the height of summer! In heavy weather, Simon even drove us to the city and my girlfriend and I were able to stay dry in the bars! Really very friendly and accommodating! Not a given! On the whole, this accommodation has uncomplicated hosts, a super friendly family, which also offers its guests enough privacy and a magnificent kitchen (used daily). Barbara was extremely responsive and although away she continued to be very responsive!!! Her home was perfect for 4 children and 4 adults, we are from the US, we stayed for a week. Barbara provided lots of recommendations including Glacier 3000 which was so much fun for the kids, snow to build a snowman and have snowball fights in August!!! The pool and trampoline were the kids favorite for when we returned home after a day of exploring. Walk to play ground and lake, a couple of great restaurants a quick walk from the home, the views of the lake which is right by the home and mountains was spectacular!! Lots of amenities in the home and very comfortable, from the beds, to the furniture, etc. Barbara made us feel right at home. Thank You 😊

Great spot, nice view and people

Hosts are very helpful understanding and kind. You can ask anything with them. Maggie showed me the house and she is warm-hearted. Rainer is interesting and responsible. And the guests was all Americans, they invited me to play games, which is very fun and they were very nice and friendly. I recommend those want to make friends or travel pals to try this. And it is so worth it. Love you guys!
