Exceptional. A home from home feeling. Absolutely the place to recharge yourself. Put the fire on, get your book out, and enjoy the wonderful view of the sea and mountains. Go to bed, open the window, feel the fresh cold sea breeze flow through the room and fall asleep with the waves hitting the rocks. No need counting sheep, your gone ZZzzz. Communication was excellent, instructions clear and super warm upon arrival. Everything you could ask for in the home. We have stayed in many places, and many have left you wishing you had packed something! NOT HERE. The small details that make you feel you have chosen the right home are important. I had my reservations over jacuzzi, but this one was perfect. Super-hot with great sea view of the mountains. Getting here was relaxed, the views are spectacular, and the roads are cleared. Marielle's place is very spacious, clean and has a fantastic view over the fjord. It is a great location to go skitouring on Kvaløya, one route starts only a few minutes away from the house. There is a well equipped, large kitchen and a great coffee machine. Everything was very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

We are thankful that Håkøya Lodge was available for our stay in Tromsø! It was cozy, peaceful, private & clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. From the lodge it was easy to drive into Tromsø as well as over to Sommarøy & Senja. Nina & Bjørn are fantastic hosts! They provided clear, easy instructions for driving to and accessing the lodge. They happened to be working outside when we arrived and offered a warm welcome. We enjoyed being able to visit with them. Håkøya Lodge was a great place to wrap up the road trip portion of our Norwegian vacation! We would happily stay with Nina and Bjørn again!

Karsje’s place is just amazing in one word. The place is so cozy offering amazing views of Tromso. The space was perfect for 5 of us including our 5 year old son. The house had a well structured instruction manual so that we didn’t have to bother the host a lot, but still they were very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of utensils so that you could cook without any hassle. There is a car parking available and also the bus stop is just a 10 minutes walk from the house. Just keep in mind that the house in a quite neighbourhood a bit away from the city, so you will have to travel a bit to find restaurants and supermarkets ( 10 minutes with a car or 15-20 minutes with bus). We enjoyed the stay a lot and would recommend it to anyone who visits Tromso.

It was really nice stay, I would recommend to everyone. The accommodation is cozy and the position is perfect if you’re planning to go to whale watching.

We had a lovely stay here. The flat was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. There are two nearby bus stops that easily get you into town and large supermarkets nearby with everything you could needed. The heated flooring in the porch and bathroom was lovely. We were actually too warm over night despite the snow! So very impressed with the heating. The host sent clear instructions and helpful details. Overall a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend here.

Quaint, quiet and beautiful!

Our stay with Odd-Geir was truly fantastic! The house was cozy and made us feel like we were right in the heart of the Arctic. We enjoyed the grill house and the sauna—both added a special touch to our experience. Odd-Geir lent us his car during our stay, which was incredibly helpful. One of the highlights was going fishing with him on his boat—an unforgettable adventure! He’s a genuine host who absolutely enhanced our experience in Tromvik. Highly recommended!

Kvalöya Lodge is one of the nicest places we've ever had and Ketil is the nicest and most caring host you can imagine. We especially enjoyed the view of the fjord, the evening fireplace, the northern lights and Ketil's tips (Husky tour with Active Tromsö, reindeer herds (they like carrots by the way), Sommaröy, Eidel Handel (great supermarket for self-catering), Söstrene Kafé in Tromsvik). We ended up with a lot of snow - fortunately the country road is well cleared 24/7. Snowshoes and spikes are at guests' disposal.

This house was absolutely amazing in every way. Very clean and extremely comfortable. We felt like home from the first minute. Ingvar is such a friendly host and communication with him was easy. You can feel that he normally lives there, the place is so cosy. We also loved the hot tub! Since it is outside of the city the sky is really dark and we could see the northern lights from our porch on three days in a row! The kitchen is perfectly well equippec and we cooked most of our meals there. We would definitively return to Ingvars house.

Terrific base in Tromso. It's in a quiet neighborhood, which I personally prefer much more than living in the city center. The house is quite large and very well furnished, and feels very homey and warm. Loved the open plan kitchen and living room where we could prepare meals, relax, and keep an eye out from the balcony windows for signs of an aurora borealis. Hope to have a chance to come back in the future :)

Absolutely beautiful place. Much nicer than in the pictures! Large house with plenty of space and difficult bedrooms. Amazing view of the sea and nice jetty to swim and fish from. Here we will come back!
