Within the five-hundred-acre estate you are surrounded by nature at its best. There are two lakes and the Otter-Burn in the grounds. Also an array of footpaths with stunning scenery and an abundance of wildlife close by.

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. This is an ideal location to explore East Berwickshire, with Coldingham Bay and St. Abbs Head National Nature Reserve nearby. Edinburgh is one hour away, famous for its Castle and festivals.
