A house in the middle of a forest. Enjoy mountain life in one of the few magnificent old houses built by Miyadaiku. At the house at the end of a fairytale forest road, you can BBQ, make a fire, boil a Goemon bath, and enjoy natural play that can only be experienced in the mountains. There are no street lights, and at night you can see the starry sky. Spending time feeling the mountain with all your senses, which can be seen in different ways depending on the season, reminds you of the rich, peaceful time that has been forgotten in modern times. Centered on a magnificent large pillar, it is an old house with earthen walls and built-in storage, but the first floor is covered with pure cedar boards, giving it a new feel. The water area features a newly built island kitchen and a large wash basin. The bath is a Goemon bath that uses both wood and gas, so you can cook with wood or use hot water. Outside the house, there is a friendly sign cat named Aosuke, who will come up to you if you are outside. It is located about 15 minutes by car from the Ishikari Mountain ropeway, making it easy to get to the mountains.

20 mins walk from Shimonada Station.3 minutes by car. We will provide free pick-up and drop-off by car. It is a 13-minute walk from Kushigahara Station. It is a house with the sea in front of it, behind the Shiojiro restaurant, and a convenience store is 30 seconds away on foot. Of course, the whole house is rented.It can accommodate up to 6 people. The sea is beautiful, and the mountains are also beautiful in Shimonada. There is a small private beach in front of the house.I think those who love nature will enjoy it. It is also easy to access the famous Aoshima on Nekojima.　 Anyone can enjoy it, whether you are traveling alone, as a couple, or as a family.

This house is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern making it convenient but also authentically Japanese. Mountains and ricefields are beside you, the Shimanto River can be heard. The ground floor is all yours. It's spacious with a large tatami sleeping room that can become two. The A/C is only in one room if the doors are closed. There is no central heating. Restaurants are within 10min or you can prepare local foods in your own equipped kitchen. It’s designed for long and short stays.

This house was designed mainly for foreigners.　

The owner lives outside the prefecture and uses it as a vacation home. We cherish the extraordinary space by decorating with paintings and furnishings that give you a taste of Japanese culture. I will welcome you as a valued guest who can come to my private home, so face-to-face check-in and common sense conversation and interaction are required. Wifi is available. A parking lot is also provided. Transportation is not convenient in the mountainous area, so please go out by car if possible.
