In Shinshu, from September to November, the autumn foliage gradually descends from the mountains to the lowlands. You can enjoy autumn scenery in various places, including Hakuba/Happo Pond, Kamikochi, and the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. During the day, head to the mountains and highlands to see the autumn leaves. When you return, relax in the sauna and water bath. In the evening, enjoy a quiet time in the countryside while enjoying a BBQ and the starry sky. Since it is a whole house rental that can accommodate up to 12 people, it is recommended not only for family or group trips, but also for couples or small groups staying for consecutive nights. Conveniently located as a base for sightseeing in Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama-Kurobe. There is also a washing machine and a bathroom dryer, so you can stay comfortably even for multiple nights. You can get here by public transportation, but it is more convenient if you have a car. Free pick-up and drop-off are available from Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station. Other pick-up and drop-off services and sightseeing pick-up and drop-off services are available for 2,000-8,000 yen (round trip) depending on the distance, for trips within 2 hours each way. For groups of 5 or more, we can arrange a rental car, so please contact us in advance. October and November are the seasons to enjoy the autumn leaves and the quiet of Shinshu. Located in the town next to Narai-juku, Nakasendo's post town, a historic town that has flourished as a region for lacquerware from the Edo period.It was built in 1931 in this town, which was designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings and still has many lacquerware shops. Our house is available for rent as an entire house, limited to one group per day, without meals.It takes a little while to get here, and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores in the area, but that's why I think this place has a quietness and a casual, simple beauty to everyday life.It would be nice if you could stay like living in this old town, such as reading, walking, local sake (sake, wine), and sleeping slowly. There are no screen doors in the old houses nestled between the mountains and valleys, so in the warmer seasons, wildlife may enter.The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail.We are preparing to welcome you as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with a big heart. We use the accommodation fees we receive from you to repair the building. First, I would like to take care of this wonderful house for about 20 years so that it can be passed on to the next generation.

Good access to Shimosuwa Station! We renovated an 80-year-old Japanese house into a traditional and clean space. (New open in 2023!) You can spend a comfortable time by renting the entire building. Recommended for families, couples and small groups. This area is rich in history and nature. Suwa Taisha Shrine, hot springs, Nakasendo. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.
