Beachfront holiday rentals in Old Lyme Shores

My husband, dog, and I LOVED our stay here- so much that Danielle accommodated for us to stay an additional day! It was the perfect location. Private enough where we felt secluded, but yet right off of a main road with so many great restaurants to walk to! The beach was about a 5 minute walk, and left us with the perfect spot and feeling like we had the beach completely to ourselves the days we were there. We are already talking about going back, and can’t wait to plan our next trip. Thanks so much!

Everything was great and as expected with this home. It was very clean, the views were stunning, right on the water. Unfortunately it rained, but we took advantage of the screened in porch with coffee. Jesse was quick to respond with any questions and had thorough and clear information about checking and getting into the home. We’d definitely look to stay here again, if we’re in the Mystic area.

Beautiful property. John is a great host and made us feel welcome. Loved the park and beach nearby. Our dogs had a blast. Wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back.

The house was clean, well-decorated, had all the things we needed, and private, with a long wooded lot leading down to the bay. We women friends were totally comfortable there. When we couldn’t find the entrance to the driveway off the main road, she stayed on the phone & directed us until we found it. Excellent choice!

Barbara’s place reminded me of the way airbnbs used to be. It felt like home-away-from-home. The accommodations were high quality and clean, and there were even some tasty snacks! We loved our stay. Everything was as pictured. Stony Creek was wonderful, and we look forward to visiting again next year!

My family and I had such a wonderful stay at this house. The house was immaculate and well stocked for our stay. Matthew and Celia are great hosts. We really appreciated the basket of snacks and dog cookies that were left for us and our fur babies (Thank you!). They truly thought of everything and it felt like “home” the entire time we were there. The views from the back deck are truly spectacular. We spent many hours sitting in the sunroom and out on the deck enjoying the sights. My pups enjoyed daily walks at the sea wall park that was steps from the house. I can’t say enough great things about our stay. Thanks to our hosts for sharing their beautiful home with me and my family.

Every amenity you'd want is here--whether for a weekend or a longer residence like mine. An amazing stay overall. It was comfortable for 6 adults. Spencer was extremely helpful throughout our stay — I had lots of questions and Spencer was quickly responsive. The house itself is beautiful and has that eastern Long Island charm. The backyard had lots of space and is well maintained alongside the pool. We also enjoyed a sunset evening at the beach which is just a few steps away. It was a wonderful weekend and I am certainly looking forward to staying here in the future!

We really enjoyed staying at Lynn’s place! Very clean and had a great view of the ocean from the deck. Lynn was very responsive and made the experience seamless. We would definitely stay with Lynn again.

Allana was very easy to work with. Always answered back quickly no matter the time. Open concept and everyone was able to be together. It was a rainy stay so had to be inside. No one minded. Nicely set up for games or conversations. Thank you so much!!

Loved Samy’s corner unit, which gave us a bit more privacy and quiet than other parts of the property. The studio was as described, with great light and well-cleaned prior to our arrival. Enjoyed use of the tennis courts every day. Only minor disappointment was that we were not yet allowed to use the pool, which we were told would be ready by Memorial Day (we were there one week prior). Still, a worthwhile stay and I’d come back and recommend it to others.

Great spot for a few days in Montauk. Really close drive to town only about 15 walk into town. Great food cart on property open when the weather is good. Amazing ocean views from most rooms hard to find in the Hamptons.

We had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect. The view of the water was everything and was accessible from nearly every room. The home was modern and easily accommodated our large group. Yet it was cozy and beautifully appointed with all the amenities you would ever want. It is ideal for children with every toy imaginable. There was a highchair and a pack and play for our toddler and child appropriate dishes. The kitchen was fully equipped and had 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers and 3 tables for dining. The beautiful pool and hot tub were in constant use. Mary is very thoughtful and assembled a ringed binder with important contacts and suggestions for dining, shopping and entertainment. Although there was no beach on the property there are nearby beaches. The towns of Guilford and (nearby) Madison are charming and well worth visiting. Mary was very accommodating and responded promptly to several inquiries.

You can not beat this location - quiet private beach right across the street, nice pool and about a 20 minute walk to town or super short car ride. The place is clean, as pictured and John was great to deal with. Will definitely be back!

Ron responded extremely quick to one of my requests. He also gave us some great restaurant recommendations of which we ended up going to. Overall smooth, enjoyable, and worry free stay.

We continue to visit Rose’s house for our yearly weekend girls getaway. It’s the perfect cozy beautiful place to catch up with friends and relax. Rose is an amazing host!

This place was great! My party and I had an amazing stay. The house was very clean and looked like the pictures. The beds were very comfortable as well. Cathy was very communicative and answered all my questions.

Chloe's home was perfect for our stay as we wanted to be near my son in Old Saybrook. She was responsive and accommodating with my questions and needs always getting back to me right away. Check in was easy and I received emails all along the way which was helpful as I am a first time airbnb person. The home was immaculate with everything as it said it would be. I would definitely stay again and recommend this home.

Joe made an extra effort telling us home would be available earlier than quoted check in time. Very much appreciate this flexibility. Great neighborhood, wonderful walk to the beach. Was exactly what we needed as a home base for three days of bike rides. Wonderful area.

Great little house. Very well stocked and very clean. High quality all around! Little beach area is very rocky so not for lounging but a great launch point for small boats. Water in the area is very calm. Neighborhood is very quiet and cute with lots of amenities.

I had an amazing stay at Linda’s home! The view is absolutely beautiful and the spacious house made for great relaxation. Amenities made it easy to feel right at home along with games to play and enjoy the space even more. Loved that there were 3 bathrooms as well! Perfect for our group of 6 and we will definitely be back!

We spent a few days at this amazing place and absolutely loved it! The house is cozy, very clean, well-organized, and beautifully decorated – great taste in every detail. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace – perfect spots to relax. The location is also excellent. The host provides bikes, and we used them to explore the nearby beaches and ride around the town. It was exactly the peaceful and relaxing break we needed from our busy routine. We would definitely come back! ♥️

A Perfect Family Getaway! We had a fantastic week with our children and grandkids! The house was just three homes away from a private beach, making it incredibly convenient for beach days. The neighborhood was peaceful, walkable, and full of super friendly people. One of our favorite local spots was Black Point Market—absolutely adorable! The owner and staff were so welcoming. They serve amazing grilled breakfast sandwiches, fresh lunches, scoop ice cream, baked goods, candy, sodas, beer, and all the essentials you might need. Downtown Niantic was another highlight, with its scenic boardwalk, charming shops, great restaurants, and plenty of ice cream options for the kids (and adults!). We also took a couple of day trips to Mystic Aquarium and the Mystic Seaport Museum—both were fun, educational, and memorable for the whole family. And don’t miss Vincitori Apizza in Niantic! Their pizza and salad were top-notch, but the standout was the seafood chowder—crafted by the chef-owner, it
