We had a great stay at Joanne's house in Oakura. The location was fantastic - private and peaceful, yet only a short drive to New Plymouth. The house itself was very spacious, easily accommodating our two families. The pool and games room were a huge hit and provided plenty of entertainment for everyone. Joanne the host responded promptly to any questions we had and had great communication. We would definitely recommend this property for large groups or families looking for a comfortable, fun, and conveniently located getaway.

We had a truly fantastic time staying in Kylie’s home. The place is incredibly spacious and super comfortable in every way. And the pool house, is an actual dream. We had many delighted 12 year olds (and two adult big kids) who were deliriously happy playing on the flying fox and water slide. The whole set up in the pool room means you can prepare everything in the well stocked small kitchen, cook on the large bbq just outside, eat together at the table then relax on the comfortable chairs afterwards. Good speaker and television out there as well. We got to watch one day of Te Matatini from the pool! Brilliant. But for me, the absolute standout was the view of our Mountain, Taranaki and Pouakai which you are greeted with as you drive toward the house and have a spectacular view of from the small hill right beside the house. It’s a magical place. Would definitely stay again in a heartbeat. Kylie is a wonderful host and great communicater.

We booked to stay here as we were coming down to climb Mt Taranaki as a group of 7 and it did not disappoint! Gorgeous home, tastefully decorated with a rustic chic vibe, lovely wrap around veranda overlooking lovely gardens and farmland and awesome view of Mt Taranaki! The mountain was a close drive for our early morning start. Enjoyed the swimming pool and Winter would be cozy also with the fireplaces. Was such a lovely getaway and would thoroughly recommend!

We were in New Plymouth for Te Matataini. The accomodation was perfect for our stay ad we were out early and back late in the evening. The price was great as other similar properties were asking at least twice as much. It was an easy drive on the motorway back to the venue at the Bowl of Brooklands.

Thankyou Sophie for our stay in your beautiful home. Perfectly located to explore the region and a truly lovely house. The sauna and swimming pool were just what we needed after hiking for the day . Highly recommended!

Heinrich and Nicayla were lovely hosts. They were understanding and adaptable to our needs and making sure we were comfortable. The home has beautiful views of the sea and all the comforts including two living areas. They offered thoughtful snacks, appliances and suggested. The space was clean, beautifully presented with high end and well kept furniture, bedding and carpets making it feel luxurious.

Gena’s place is retro right through to the last detail, like stepping back in time. it has amazing views over the port and out to sea, from high up on the hill. Set on 2 different levels , up the spiral staircase to a seperate living area and bedroom. It is very clean and has everything you need. Gena is a very responsive host and was available if we had any queries. We enjoyed our stay over the Womad long weekend. Close to the surf highway and to town.

Donna was a wonderful host. The Bach was exactly as described, and it was delightful to be greeted by a fire, even though we arrived quite late. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing country stay, including great linen and towels, lovely plush beds, and a wonderful shower. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the essentials for preparing delicious meals while enjoying the ocean view. I would recommend this property.

Moon was such a lovely host, they were friendly, gave clear instructions and allowed us to check in early. As far as the home, it was beautiful with plenty of space and had everything we needed!

The house is excellent and the location is great, very short walk to a beautiful black sand beach. The bed was very comfortable and the house amenities were top notch. We'd definitely stay again.

this was such a lovely place especially for a bigger family . so much space for kids to play and they all had fun exploring on our walks. (so close to everything) place was very clean and fit us all without feeling over crowded . views were stunning . such a wonderful host very helpful . highly recommend a stay here my only regret was not booking longer . would definitely recommend .

Our Host was very friendly and welcoming. Spent the week in the 'cosy cottage', which exceeded our expectations. A great little getaway, peaceful and quiet though close enough to town. The home was clean and comfortable and had everything we wanted.

Thanks for providing us essential information the kitchen, the house is dustless and homely. Surrounding view is stunning and night view is beautiful.

We managed to squeeze 3 families into Deanna's place and it worked so well for us. We all loved the space, the kids had a great time playing in the garden and Deanna was really helpful in the lead up to our stay. We'd definitely come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful and spacious home! The interior is tastefully decorated and feels incredibly warm and inviting. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need — from an open-plan kitchen to a large TV, and even automatic curtains, which was a nice modern touch. It was the perfect comfortable home base for our group of friends during our trip. The host was very approachable and kind, with prompt and thoughtful communication throughout. Highly recommended!

Ana’s place is wonderful. The location by the coastal walk way and only a short walk to town was a plus. We have family in New Plymouth. This is definitely where we want to stay when we visit. It is so attractive and beautiful views from the house.
