Osamijima, Shimanami Kaido. A large deck with a view of the sea and the sunset. Open-air bath with a view of the sea. Seaside retreat
This accommodation is limited to one group per day and allows you to enjoy the beauty of the many islands in the Seto Inland Sea and the sunset. Designed by the host, an architect who has won numerous awards overseas. Not extraordinary, but a "delicate life" with the theme of enriching everyday life. You can experience that kind of life here. There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

Entire house! Perfect for those who want to relax in a 70 m2 house in Onomichi! The ropeway and main shopping street are a 3-minute walk!
If you think the price is high, please refrain from booking. It is not a hotel. It is an old Japanese house from 130 years ago. Because I like old things and want to keep them, I have kept the decorations, shelves, drawers, and other items from the 1940s as they were. It is conveniently located a 2-minute walk from the main street, restaurants, public baths, shopping streets, etc. It is a 3-minute walk to the ropeway that goes up to Sengoji Temple. It is a 15-minute walk from the station. (3 minutes by bus.)It is an old Japanese house, so it is cold in winter. Those who are not good with old things, those who think that a 15-minute walk from the station is difficult (bad location rating). In many cases, I cannot hand over the key. Communication with guests is often only by email or phone. We ask that you contact us one hour before check-in. Please read the images, descriptions, etc. carefully before making a reservation. If you are dissatisfied with anything, please refrain from booking for the sake of both parties. Because the house is near the railroad, you will hear the sound of the train. PS Please take glass, bottles and cans home with you. We cannot store your luggage before or after check-in. Accommodation is for 2 people or more.

Hi there, This place is more than just a place to stay. Stretched out before us are the Seto Inland Sea and the Shimanami Bridges. Just looking outside without doing anything, Before you know it, your attention shifts to your own sensations. It's a place where time like that passes. For BBQs, we offer gas grills for rent (additional fee applies). Please purchase food and beverages at supermarkets or other stores on the island. Spending time outside around a fire naturally leads to conversation. Since the entire building is rented out to a single group per day, You can enjoy your time at your own pace, without worrying about those around you. A sauna is also available (for an additional fee). Warm up your body and feel the outside breeze. [Old house STAY Mukojima-no-Ie Hanare] This is a 100-year-old house. It has wooden fittings on the mud walls. Like a 100-year-old person, this house is getting quite weak.
