Staying in Tyssebotnen in little family farmhouse full of history made our dreams come true. This cozy home surrounded by an incredible yard full of berries which leads to a private dock is just amazing. If you like being in pure nature in an authentic Norwegian home with just a touch of modern Scandinavian interior design we highly recommend this place. Askild and Kristoffer are very pleasant and always helpful owners.

Everything was perfect for our stay, and we found the peace and the beauty of the landscapes that we hoped for from Jan, his house and from Tyssebotn. The description is faithful to reality, and Jan is really available to provide information and help us discover this magnificent fjord, its history and its boat! The house is very warm and has all modern comforts, basic cleaning kits, linens, dishes and fast Wifi. Tyssebotn has a grocery store which helped us a lot, even offering coffees with a warm and friendly welcome!

We loved our stay here; you absolutely can’t beat the view and it’s super peaceful. The bathrooms in particular are really nice and were very clean! There is only one true shower as the master bath is a giant tub with a handheld sprayer but no curtain or hook for the handheld sprayer, but still very manageable and the other full bath has a stand up shower. We did not have a vehicle, but the host provided instructions with pictures for us to get to the house; we managed just fine with the 92 bus and train connection into Bergen. Be warned that the transit doesn’t run 24/7 though, so we had to schedule a taxi for an early morning airport departure. We would absolutely stay again; thanks for a great visit!

We stayed in this house for two nights and really enjoyed it. The house was big and very clean. The view from the house was amazing. Before breakfast you can take a walk by the lake with a cup of coffee and come back full of energy. We really wanted to stay there longer😊. Most importantly, the owner was very kind and friendly.

We had a wonderful stay in this great vacation home! The facility is tastefully designed and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay - especially "audiophile visitors" will be very impressed here. The good connection to public transport to Bergen is also pleasant - in approx. 20 minutes on foot. The house is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet and cozy accommodation that also offers a great location. We can only highly recommend this vacation home and would like to come again.

The house was very nice, spacious and cozy. The area is very cool and original. They were very attentive and polite, they responded immediately to messages. It was a nice week.

Imelda has been an amazing host and the Airbnb was very nice and clean. The heated pool and the sauna was amazing after a late night swim in the Fanafjord. Imelda was very accommodating and knowledgeable, she also responded quickly to any questions we had. A bonus surprise was; We asked if we could use some of the fishing stuff and they brought kayaks the following morning to explore with. Thank you for a great experience, we will definitely be back.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Monica’s cabin. The place is just as beautiful as described – if not even better. The cabin is cozy, stylish, and perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen has more than you’d ever expect, which made cooking really enjoyable. The location is fantastic – peaceful and surrounded by stunning nature, yet still easily accessible. It was the perfect place to relax, explore the area, and enjoy the quiet. Monica was an amazing host – super friendly, helpful, and always quick to respond. Her communication made everything smooth and easy from the start. We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to come back again – hopefully in summer next time

After a nightmare experience with our last Airbnb in Alver, Marte was able to accommodate us last minute, worked out perfectly. We were much closer to Bergen, and could use the bus to get in and out of town (bus 12 or 19), which ran every 10 minutes into downtown area. Bus stop was literally in front of her apartment. We were a 5 minute walk from Coop market to pick up supplies, and she gave us a parking permit to use, so we got to park right in front of the building. We were on 5th floor with striking views of the harbor and surrounding mountains. Full kitchen, combo washer / dryer, 2 brs, one with a convertible sofa, one with double bed, nice sectional sofa & smart tv. Did have issue with tripped circuit from dishwasher, and neighbors were a bit loud one day, but otherwise we had a great stay. The bed pillows were a little skimpy, gave her feedback to get a few more. Note she lives there full time so limited closet & refrigerator/ freezer space. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Nice welcome by Magnhild's mother. Magnhild responds super quickly (within a minute) to messages and questions. Nothing too much to ask! Wonderful view on the fjord from the apartment. Within a 20-minute drive you are in Bergen city center so the location was also very nice. Our dogs were welcome in the apartment. At the school nearby we even made a beautiful hike on a mountain, just walking distance from the apartment. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this!!

The apartment is brand new, very cozy, furnished with attention to detail. Well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom. If you are looking for peace, you will find it here. Approximately 30 minutes from Bergen, with a view of the water.

We have been in the apartment before, so we knew what it was like there, very centrally located in the hills, short distance to everything. It was the first time we were received by Henrik and got the key. We were well received in the evenings when we arrived, got the key and beds, everything was laid on and made ready. The apartment was clean and nice both times we have been there. Henrik put our car in quickly, so parking was no problem :) Super nice host, responds quickly to messages when asked :) Absolutely recommended.😊 We will definitely come and take the trip back as long as it is rented. Pleasant stay and no problems with anything :)
