House holiday rentals in Ōtaki Beach

I had a wonderful stay at this property. It was very clean and tidy, and the swimming pool was well-kept. The location is great for activities like cycling and fishing. The only issue was the door code didn’t work initially, but Airbnb provided a new one promptly.

We were a party of 7 friends who go away every year for a get together as we are spread from Auckland to Christchurch and inbetween. we all had the most fabulous stay, great home, the pool and spa were amazing 👏 just an all round awesome girls weekend. thank you so much Laureen.

Kelvin was a super host. One day the lockbox jammed. It was no problem as we had access the spare keys but even still, Kelvin immeditaely he replaced it! He also showed us around the amazing property like a real gentleman. Thanks Kelvin. It was peaceful, had everything we needed and is a very special property. I hope we can return in summer to experience the beautiful, naturally plant filtered swimming pool.

Staying at Georgia’s place was an absolute dream! Designed by the renowned Fritz Eisenhofer and his wife Helen, this curvaceous, dome-like home is an architectural masterpiece. It felt like living in a jewel box, where every detail radiates artistic sophistication and warmth. The luxurious decor and flowing spaces create an inviting and serene atmosphere. Pictures don’t do justice—you must experience this remarkable home to truly appreciate its beauty. Georgia is an exceptional host—kind, thoughtful, and beyond generous. Her excellent communication and the thoughtful koha (gifts) made us feel so welcome. The location is magical, with the beach just steps away and a lush pathway surrounded by vibrant plants and fauna. The greenery inside and outside added to the serene and tranquil vibe. The amenities are incredible: a stunning indoor pool, relaxing hot tub, kayaks, paddleboards, ping pong, air hockey, and more. Thank you, Georgia and family, for sharing your remarkable home with us.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The whole place was amazing and the family loved the pool. The property exceeded our expectations and we would love to stay again.

This place really felt like a home away from home. There was everything we needed. The hot tub and pool were much enjoyed. We were able to have a wonderful gathering with overseas family members and visits from our NZ children, plenty of space. We loved the beach. Simon was very friendly and helpful.

A lovely property for our whole family with plenty of space and activities to keep everyone happy. We’ll definitely be back - it was well worth the cost and the owners/carers are helpful and friendly. A great location in both sunny and wet weather conditions.

Great place - very comfortable - lots of extra touches when we arrived - very welcoming to us and our dog. Lovely to walk into a lounge with the fire going on a cold evening.

We had a great stay here for a couple nights, was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a couple of nights stay. The fireplace was great to have and the Cows in the paddock were a hit with our daughter. It was very peaceful and everything was well looked after. Highly recommend.

An absolutely perfect and peaceful getaway with thoughtful additions on arrival - fresh bread, fruit and eggs. Stunning country views, spacious living and outside deck area, complete with a BBQ, this spot is just what you need to get away for a few days. Thanks, Jill. Homey place with everything you need. Loved hearing the sounds of the sea and wind breeze in the afternoon. Close to the beach and we love the walk on the dunes going to the beach. Overall happy with Ann’s place.

A magical spot! Beautiful views, easy access to the beach and walking tracks. Great local Restaurant! Loved the bikes and the kids loved the huge fenced soccer field! The bach had everything we needed!

Our stay was perfect. Nicola is such an amazing host, giving us extra recommendations for the time with our kids. The location of the house is perfect. Awesome views to the sea and just an easy stroll to the playground and the beautiful Queen Elizabeth park. The house itself got everything we need, we felt super comfortable all the time. What a fabulous find. We loved staying at this property and could have happily stayed longer. The property is well equipped, spacious, warm and cosy. An absolutely lovely little getaway. The house is beautiful, warm, modern and cosy and has everything you need. The garden is private and lots of options for sitting outside and taking in the great view! We could hear tui and the beach from the garden. Great location, 3 min walk to the beautiful Otaihanga domain and river walk down to the estuary and beach or up to waikanae. Great for the dogs! Really handy to paraparumu, pubs, cafes, and shops. Lucy was a dream host - super helpful and kind. Thanks for having us, we will definitely be back!

Enjoyed our stay here, with the most amazing view - the place and Lucy were very accommodating to my family and had all amenities needed. Everyone loved this house and didn’t want to leave. Lucy went above and beyond for us and responded straight away and made our stay even more special☺️ Would for sure recommend this place and rebook whenever we’re back in Wellington! We enjoyed our stay, surrounded by a beautiful garden and at walking distance from the beach, restaurants and bakery. Neighboring a reserve at the back was a bonus, so we had more space to play ball games. It was a great place to rest and relax, indoor or outdoor. Board games available to play when it rained. One thing to note is that the bedroom upstairs, although private, it doesn't have a door to block any noise from downstairs. It is a cute cottage with lots of space for everybody.

Great location Comfortable beds Views and set up of the house is great. Loved our stay. Would be helpful to have a bin in the kitchen and maybe the gardens outside to see the views of Kapiti better.

Fantastic hosts and great house. perfect location to explore local park, beach, forest and fairy gardens. house was lovely and modern - clean, warm and had everything we needed. bonus we could bring our dogs. highly recommend

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super comfortable, with everything we needed provided. The location is unbeatable—right across the road from the beach. We especially loved the upstairs area with its stunning sunset and sea views. The beds were very comfy too.
