Guillermo and Diana's place is our "go to" place in Chetumal when we want a peaceful accomodation. It's just steps from the bay in a very walkable and safe neighborhood and close to a taxi stand and a Walmart mini mall. The neighborhood is exceptionally friendly and 30 pesos gets you to the heart of Centro and the Muelle Fiscal.

Beautiful beach, relaxing location and comfortable stay! Friendly caretakers and very responsive owner/manager! Great place! Would book again without hesitation.

If all you need is the Caribbean just for yourself, Casa del Sol is da place. Tom Hanks movie «  Cast Away » with solar electricity for your mojito’s ice cubes and a very good bed :-)

Our second time staying at this place. We love the location, the pool, and the roof top patio. The building manager is very helpful and offers local suggestions if asked. He works hard to keep the building and the yard looking wonderful. We will for sure be back again on our next trip to Mahahual.

Enjoyed our stay! Great location right on the beach. Having the restaurant downstairs was handy. The hotel staff were kind and courteous and beds were comfy. We really appreciated the waters and nespresso pods! We didn’t have time to use the beach club but it looked beautiful! The only suggestions would be to add more patio furniture (we wanted to sit outside but there weren’t enough seats for our group of 4) and use smaller key chains- The huge squares didn’t easily fit in our pockets or purses so were kind of inconvenient. It was perfect and relaxing! We will definitely stay here next time we visit Mahahual!

Eric y Jorge son dos anfitriones excelentes. Super amables y muy predispuestos a darte toda la información local. El pueblito sencillamente mágico. Súper recomendable. Y la vista al mar un sueño. Uno de los mejores anfitriones con los q me he encontrado en esta aplicación.

Lugar, excelente, para descansar y disfrutar de la laguna de Bacalar. Pueblo mágico. Cuenta con todas las comunidades necesarias, y fácil acceso desde el centro de la población. La atención excelente por parte de Luis ( padre e hijo) y de don Manuel. Nos sentimos seguro se bienvenidos. El acceso a la Laguna es fácil e inicia con muy baja profundidad, ideal para los pequeños. Definitivamente recomendable.

If the third time is the charm, then I can’t wait. This is by far the best bang for your buck inside of the area. The house is beyond beautiful with pretty much every accommodation. It’s located right where there’s a street fair every night, so there’s always food, taxis are consistently in the area for rides, and did I mention it has a beautiful view? The top floor is a great locations to relax with your family or a group of friends. Every room in this house is beautiful. I love it, and I will be back.

Andrea’s place in Bacalar was fantastic!!! The space was clean, comfortable, and even more beautiful than the photos. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the design and hospitality—every detail was perfect. The location was peaceful and felt like a true getaway, while still being close enough to enjoy everything Bacalar has to offer. Andrea was responsive, kind, informative, and made check-in a breeze. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The home is located right on the ocean. Our stay was very relaxing and peaceful. The ocean waves and breeze were very relaxing. We swam in the ocean every day also! The caretakers Samuel and Veronica were very kind letting us into the home, got us coconuts to drink and Veronica made my daughter a sweet stuffed bee animal. Samuel cleaned the beach every day also. Jennifer was extremely responsive and offered suggestions on restaurants in town. Highly recommend this home!

Casa muy bonita. Un poco lejos de todo pero disfrutamos mucho la alberca, el muelle y los paseos en kayak. La recámara principal muy grande, TV grande con una vista hermosa al muelle y al mar. Hay un muchacho que vive ahí en un cuartito en la propiedad que está siempre al pendiente de la alberca, en las mañanas puso los kayaks en el muelle para usarlos y en algún momento nos dio instrucciones para ir al pueblo. Definitivamente vale la pena y regresaremos pronto.

Très belle situation avec accès privé à la lagune. Nous avons passé la majorité du temps à l extérieur. Tout y est aménagé dans ce sens. (Palapa, Hamacs, chaises longues, canoés, barbecue etc) La Clim dans les chambres est indispensable la nuit, au regard des températures :) L hôte est très réactif en cas de questions ou de problèmes. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce séjour au calme. Un vrai petit paradis !

Had a wonderful stay in Bacalar! The place was clean, comfortable, and just as described. The view of the lagoon was stunning, pictures do it no justice, and it was the perfect spot to relax. The host was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely come back!

La atención de Meredith y Jill fue excelente siempre atentos a nuestra llegada, todo estaba reluciente y es un espacio muy cómodo para disfrutar si no quieres pasar todo el día en la Playa. La piscina limpia, el lugar es muy fresco. Nos encantó el lugar. Esperamos regresar pronto. Ahora es nuestro lugar predilecto para quedarnos. Mi esposa y mis hijos estuvieron muy felices. Gracias por toda la atención.

Mariana’s place is a perfect accommodation for Bacalar. To be lagoon side and have a gorgeous property to enjoy is an experience my family will remember forever. The house was clean, orderly, and had all that we needed to enjoy cooking at home and enjoy our leisure time. I hope this magical spot stays just as wonderful and beautiful for our next visit. El departamento me encantó; sin duda es de lo mejor en la zona. Lo más destacado es que tiene vista al mar desde casi todos los espacios: cocina, sala, habitación principal… algo muy poco común. Además, el balcón es el más amplio frente al mar en el que he estado, abarca todo el largo del departamento y tiene camastros y mesa con sillas para disfrutar la vista. Todo el departamento cuenta con aire acondicionado en cada una de sus piezas, aunque también puedes disfrutar de una suficiente y renovadora ventilación natural abriendo ventanas al frente y al fondo lo que te permite disfrutar de la corriente de brisa marina aún en el departamento. Ideal para descansar con total comodidad. La recepción y despedida de Marcela añadieron un toque amigable a nuestra perfecta estancia

El lugar estaba muy bonito, coincide con las fotos. La zona es tranquila y tenía todos los servicios anunciados. El único problema fue el sargazo en la playa... pero esto no puede controlarse. El penthouse con una hermosa vista y muy limpio y ordenado.

Un hospedaje con privacidad y encanto. La pasamos muy bien. La vista es hermosa.

Es un hospedaje muy bonito y cómodo con todos los utensilios necesarios para cocinar y estar a gusto, la alberca es muy bonita, la zona de playa se ve bien pero no se puede acceder por las rocas y sargazo. La ubicación es buena solo hay que llevar comida porque las tiendas estan a 10 min en carro. Estuvimoa muy comodos en las habitaciones

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Teresa’s home! Check in was flexible as we were delayed in Tulum. Teresa’s instructions were always super clear and so we didn’t have any issue finding the house at sunset, also there is a hotel next door with a restaurant in case you miss the supermarket! The house is about 10 minutes away from Bacalar town, it has a perfect view of the lagoon and everything you can need inside. The lagoon is super private as most boat trips are over on the other side of the town also. We absolutely loved being there and surrounded by nature, I would very much recommend the house!

Location Location Location! This is an incredible spot right on the beach. there is a very good coffee shop right in the building, but the apartment is equipped with a coffee maker if you want to make your own. Very well stocked apartment, pretty much everything you need is right there. the wifi worked very well too. The beach in front of the apartment was so clean and beautiful! One thing to note is there is not a queen size bed in either bedroom so just be aware if you're tall but by no means is this a reason pass on this apartment with gorgeous views. loved it!

What can I say about this remarkable stay?! This was my birthday trip and everything about it was wonderful. The place looks EXACTLY like the photos! Gorgeous view and they even decorated the suite with rose pedals, a Happy Birthday sign and continued to surprise us with 2 glasses of wine! They truly made my birthday weekend spectacular and we look forward to returning!
