Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Otočac

This is my third trip to Croatia, and I was incredibly lucky to stay at this home for the first night of my journey. It’s a very popular place, so I was only able to book it for one night — but what a perfect start it was. Even in just one night, I was able to fully relax and recharge, thanks to the peaceful village atmosphere and the spotlessly clean, well-equipped space. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to any traveler visiting the area.

Wow, what can I say. A FABULOUS place with a FABULOUS host. Ljubica welcomed us with a hug and showed us to our apartment where she’d left a small bottle of wine and chocolates. The apartment was exactly as per the listing - if not even better. The sound of the waterfall lulling us to sleep was amazing. Sitting out on the terrace looking out at the waterfall was so peaceful - I’m missing it already. Ljubica was such a friendly host - she even brought us some home made fruit juice which she’d made from fruit in her garden and her mums home made brandy. I highly recommend staying at Ljubica house - if we ever come back to Croatia we will definitely stay again and for longer. This is the best Air B&B I’ve ever stayed in. Hvala lijepa Ljubica

Ivan’s place was perfect for a quick one night stay after visiting Plitvice Lakes. The apartment was in pristine condition and exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling and hiking.

The apartment is surrounded by greenery and in a very quiet area, very close to the entrances of Plitvice Park. The hosts were very kind and friendly. Recommended!

Nevena was the perfect hostess, making sure we felt at home in the house. From different choices of types of coffee makers, a welcome basket of snacks, homemade liquors, comfortable beds, we found everything we could have needed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting is idyllic and peaceful, a gem of a place to stay.

There were three of us at Ana's, the apartment is clean and as described. We were greeted personally on site. Communication was easy and straightforward. The sea is within walking distance, down the mountain. We were very satisfied with everything. Highly recommended.

We were already guests at Milena's for the second time. The accommodation is modern, everything you need is available. Everything is very clean. It was very quiet at night, we could sleep with the window open. (Thanks to the fly screen) There is a very good bakery and some very good restaurants nearby. The sandy beach is only 2 minutes' walk away. There is also an e-charging station nearby. Milena was always available to answer our questions.

It's hard to put into words just how wonderful our experience was with these amazing hosts. My family and I were in a tough spot after another booking turned out to be a disaster, and they truly came to the rescue. With barely any notice, they had the place spotless and ready for us even before check-in time. From the moment we arrived, it felt more like visiting old friends than staying in a rental. We spent time hanging out with them, got so many great tips on what to see and do in the area, and even got a lift to a hiking trail one morning, among many other thoughtful gestures. They went above and beyond in so many ways that made our stay special - something we’ll never forget. We honestly couldn’t have asked for better hosts, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area. Thank you again for everything!

The place was lovely and comfortable you feel just like home. In the kitchen there is all the necessary equipment for preparing food. The sea is less than a ten-minute walk away, and a Lidl is also very close.

Marija was very helpful, communication was smooth. She has even given a separate photo of the approach to the apartment, because it was not clear on the map. The apartment was good value for money with a beautiful view of the sea. It was our first holiday in Croatia. Sveti Juraj was a very optimal choice. It's a quiet little town, but a 10-minute drive minutes by car there are plenty of restaurants, shops and activities in Senj. The island of Krk, Plitvice, is also relatively easy to reach by car. (1.5-2h) With children, access to the Sveti Juraj centre on foot can be a bit of a problem, as it is only accessible on foot via the main road, which is quite busy. But for adults it's no problem, you only have to walk a few metres. We had a great time!

Perfect location right on the beach. Spacious parking is available right in front of the house, convenient parking is possible. Quiet and relaxing, with nice terrace and sea view. Well-equipped kitchen, clean bathroom with shower. Cafes, pizzeria and small shop nearby, nice paths for walking and hiking. Communication in German and English hassle-free, very friendly hosts. Absolutely recommended.

Clean, comfortable, cozy. This condo met all our needs and, most importantly, it's close to Plitvice Lakes National Park. One thing to point out, and I think other guests also have mentioned this in their reviews, DO NOT let the exterior of the condo give you pause. Yes, the exterior of the building and the entryway need some TLC, but the interior of the condo is awesome. It's extremely clean and updated. People in neighboring condos were quiet. Also, there is a market nearby (within easy walking distance) with very reasonable prices. If we return to the area, we will definitely stay at this condo again.

An absolute delight! We much enjoyed our stay in Matjaz apartment. It is very clean upon our arrival and is as described on Airbnb. It supplies everything needed throughout the day. The private beach access is perfect, idyllic and gives you the opportunity to enjoy your vacation without any stress of searching for a spot in the shades. Although we did not use it this time - the garden is also equipped with a grill, which was quite tempting to use :) Matjaz is a super host for a reason. He and his wife are as friendly as one can be, super helpful and easy to communicate with. We would definitely come back any time and can highly recommend Matjaz and his apartment (s). ***** 5/5 Stars *****

This place is well located on the way into Otocac and very easy to find, with parking in the back of the house. The apartment was spotlessly clean and looked just like the pictures. We were very comfortable for our one night stay. We would definitely stay here again, and for longer; it would be a great base to explore the Northern Velebit National Park from, and the beautiful scenery around it. Otocac is also a lovely town with plenty of cafes, bakeries, supermarkets etc.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay at near Senj.

We spent 14 pleasant days in September with Mate in the large, modern apartment. Everything very clean and very well furnished. The view from the balcony is very nice. It was very relaxed. Mate took care of everything and was always available. Perfect location. Nice and quiet, only 5 minutes' walk to 2 different beaches. Also only 20 minutes to walk to the old town of RAB.

Fabian and his mom are very kind and helpful. The accommodation was the cleanest apartment of our lives! The beach and restaurants are easily accessible on foot. Highly recommend, we would love to stay here next time!

Terezija and Ivice are two wonderful hosts! From the first minute we felt comfortable here - and the delicious welcome cake wasn't even necessary for that... but we gratefully accepted it ;-) We will definitely be back!!!
