Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Otsego County

We absolutely loved Bluejay Cottage! From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like the perfect getaway, open, airy, peaceful, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful Michigan charm. Everything was exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable with crisp white sheets, the towels plush and plentiful, and the home had everything we could possibly need. The host didn’t miss a single detail, they thought of everything! The screened-in sunroom became our favorite hangout spot for coffee, games, and watching the stunning sunrises over the lake. We had so much fun using the paddleboards and ending our nights by the fire pit making s’mores! The care and love put into every detail was clear. It’s rare to find a place this flawless, cozy, elegant, and truly restorative. In all our years of using Airbnb this is our favorite! We didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to return to this unforgettable lakeside retreat!

my family has had an extended stay at lisas home throughout an unexpected event in our lives. Lisa has been extremely communicative, helpful, and gracious. we have never felt more welcome especially in a time of need. we so appreciate Lisa and her wonderful home. Beautiful surroundings to distress are an added bonus.

My stay was very good in that place

We had a wonderful stay in Gaylord! The place was cozy, clean, and perfect for our family. The loft upstairs was a big hit with the kids. They loved having their own space. We also really enjoyed being so close to the lake; it made for some peaceful and scenic moments. Ashley was incredibly kind and responsive throughout our stay. Would absolutely love to stay here again and work with her in the future!

My husband said to put it on the top of re-rent list, highly suggest! The house is rustic in the perfect up north vibes kinda way while keeping all the nice amententies of home. There was plenty of space inside and out.The little lake and view from the deck are beautiful! The privacy and large yard give plenty to do even on somewhat rainy cloudy days, we had fires, kayaked, hiked. We went to the community pool on a nice hot day, the pool was nicely heated, clean and had a great view. It was also connected to a bar and grill that brings cocktails and food to you. We grilled and ate like kings and it was so nice to have the stocked kitchen and grill, the ice maker was a perfect touch and the variety of ways to make coffee and or tea were so thoughtful. We are already talking about when we could go again! Thank you for the wonderful mini vacation❤️

This was our second time staying here, and we loved it just as much as the first! It was very clean, and they have thought of every possible thing that you could need throughout the house! We enjoyed the board games and the fire pit, as well as the beautiful kitchen! We will definitely be back!

The place was great for our family getaway. It was clean and cozy, plenty of towels and blankets to make you feel at home. The kitchen had all of the essentials and some additional items as well. The smart TVs made it easy to watch our favorites during our down time, but our favorite features were the air hockey table and the hot tub! The hosts were great communicators, quick responses and helpful with our requests too. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in Gaylord.

the private staircase to enter the space was our only struggle , only due to us needing a handicap accessible space. but we managed! the stairs were very sturdy and the handrail was as well. the parking was a bit rough ground as we got out, but again, we managed. overall we were happy with our stay, and the location was perfect for where we needed to be. thank you for a great stay!

We really enjoyed staying at Fawn’s place!! This was a top tier place! She thought of everything and provided so many extras like snacks, an assortment of drinks and even chocolates on the pillows. The decor was very well done and it was so clean and comfortable. It was a great spot to stay as we explored some of north Michigan. We slept well and the surroundings were very peaceful and quiet. We would stay here again without any hesitation. Fawn was quick to answer questions and help in any way. We enjoyed staying here very much!!

We had a great stay. The condo is in a great location between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. The condo was clean and had some great amenities.

John and his wife were both extremely nice and welcoming! My friend and I didn’t realize how bad the mosquitos are there this time of year so John gave us bug spray to use after he turned on the fire pit for us to enjoy. Beautiful lot as well, highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay while in town to ski. Easy walking distance to restaurants for a person that enjoys walking, even in the cold. Thanks for letting us stay in your cute airbnb!! Don and Jill

Our stay was perfect! There is even a shuttle on property that you call and they will come pick you up and take you to the base of Boyne Mountain! Great property for a weekend getaway!

Heather's place was easily accessible. The listing had everything I needed for a lovely weekend at Walloon Lake. It was also very walkable to the waterfront and other things in the town, such as restaurants and the General Store. Great place to stay!

We had a great stay for a winter ski trip. 20 min to Boyne highlands. Airbnb itself is very well stocked and well maintained. Host was responsive. One thing to keep in mind is there is a steep staircase to get to the unit that I imagine may not be suitable for all.

Great place to stay, I will definitive pick this place if available during my next trip.

Had a great stay at Chase's cabin! Everything well well stocked and clean. Decorated super adorable. Master bed was very comfy to sleep in! The neighborhood that this cabin in was very cool. We we're hoping that it still felt secluded and private. It did. It rained/misted about the entire time of our trip, so we didn't get to use the outdoor amenities as much as we hoped, but the hot tub was nice and clean and the firepit was so cool! Only thing to note that we didn't care for as much is that the back camera was pointed too closely to the hot tub for our liking. I understand the reasoning, but if you're conscious about that, keep it in mind. It didn't stop us, though! We were up the to hit the trails in the Jeep, and the area is great for that! You're close to a lot! We had no problem being out 6 hours a day, never hitting the same place twice. Thanks for a great stay, Chase! We have stayed at quite a few places on AirBnB and you really do have a gem in the mix. Don't sleep on this!!!

This cozy cabin was perfect for two couples. It has a fireplace, equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and great internet. The host was great to work with and we will stay here again in the future.

Fran’s listing was very clean, and fit all of our needs. Lots of extra blankets, had really nice warmers in the bedrooms downstairs… very clean. I asked a lot of questions, and Fran was so quick to respond every time. Incredibly hospitable. She is the best host I’ve worked with yet. Thank you so much for hosting our family/group for a wonderful ski weekend… we will be back !

Such a peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed going out on the lake with the kayaks every morning. It is very close to a charming downtown Gaylord that has shopping and groceries close by. We had a great time.

Melessa was a great proactive communicator. Her place was very clean and comfortable and we found it very relaxing. Great proximity to the ATV trails where we enjoyed hours of riding.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway and to snowboard at Boyne. (easy 30 min drive) It was perfect for our family of 6. Plenty of space. Very clean. Comfortable, stylish interior. Everything seemed new. Host was responsive and easy to work with. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at this place for our annual friends trip. Slept nine adults, and other than being a little cramped in the bunkbeds, all was wonderful. Property was as described, instructions were clear, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The weather was not ideal on our trip, so we spent a lot of time indoors. Space is not large, but they do a great job with how they have things laid out to make it work. It was perfect for our group.
