Beach house holiday rentals in Outer Banks

We all felt very at home, the house is gorgeous and the beach is right there. We each had our own room and bathroom. Carrie was always quick to respond to our questions. We definitely want to go back there if possible next year and use her house again. None of us wanted to leave. We even saw dolphins from her deck, it was amazing. Thank you Carrie for everything!!!

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

I love the memories our family shared together here. Our family has vacationed in OBX several years, and Kat’s house is a true gem that stands out because we: - Walked quickly to and from the beach. Cars would stop to allow us to cross the street. - Made meals together in our well equipped kitchen. We also dined in nearby local restaurants. - Found quality supplies and equipment in laundry, bathrooms, outdoor shower, and beach closet. - Relaxed in the hot tub. All six of us fit comfortably together! The hot tub was clean, modern, and well maintained. - Soaked in amazing views on the top deck with quality, comfortable seating. - Enjoyed games like Jumanji, Tiki Toss, and Twister during rain. Next time we may try OBX Monopoly. Katherine’s service is best in class because she is proactive, thoughtful, and effective. I didn’t worry about a thing! Our guests ranged from preschool age to retired, and we all valued our stay. We appreciated your comfortable and thoughtful space. Thank you!

I’ll review based on importance to me- First-very clean Second-very comfortable king size bed. My husband and I both slept great during g our stay Third-very conviene to beach. Easy walk to beach. I would highly recommend Amy’s place. I would suggest bringing a dish cloth and towel to help with dish cleanup. We bought a couple at the grocery store. Otherwise, nothing to add to Amy’s description. It met all of our needs and we had a fantastic stay.

Laurie was an excellent host! She was very helpful and the place was “as advertised”. For some reason the interior of the place brought back memories of a house on a Greek island (where I grew up). Certainly a place I will look for again when I am at OBX. ps There is a great collection of books and games to keep kids (and adults) occupied!

Great location and home for our friends with family trip! The pool and backyard was the perfect hangout and the beach was a quick walk away. Very comfortable for 3 families all with kids! Grateful our fur babies could join as well! Travis was very communicative and helpful. Highly recommend this spot!

We had a wonderful stay… the OBX is now our favorite vacations spot! Sounds Groovy was Awesome with wonderful and responsive hosts.

This was our 2nd time staying, We absolutely love the private peacefulness atmosphere! Perfect getaway for a couple. As well as how clean and kept the property is! The bar is set high. The home made us really feel at home. Hopefully it will be available for future visits!

Brittany was an excellent host who responded as soon as possible to any inquires or requests for accommodations. The house was perfect and absolutely stunning. With having a two year old with my family, there were toys there ready to play which made it even better! The view was spectacular and the hot tub was equally amazing. We had some car trouble during when packing our car during check out which made us late for check out time unfortunately and she was very friendly and understanding. The walk to the beach was easy and quick. No complaints at all! Definitely can’t wait to stay again (when the two year old isn’t teething and going through sleep regression lol). 10/10 highly recommend!

This was such a lovely place to stay. The light wood floors and the decor was very calming and serene. The pool and hot-tub were a huge hit with the kiddos. The walk to the beach could feel a little far if you have anyone who is older or small kids, but we had no issues (three toddlers!). The beach feels like it's private, which was amazing. This place was thoughtfully designed and we had the best time. Also we had a small hiccup and Bradyn was able to help us resolve it as well, which was so appreciated! Finally, the owners have a big heart. They made a donation to this past year's Leukemia and Lymphoma Society silent auction which helped to raise money for a cure for blood cancers. Always a bonus when you are renting a place from good humans, and THANK YOU, Edgecamp!

This was such a wonderful experience! The house was beautiful and spacious, and the host is so generous and thoughtful 😊 so thankful for all accommodations and a very helpful/resourceful host. There's a reason why this place stays booked!! If you're looking for a special vacation, this is the one! I'd love to come back next year ❤️

We had a wonderful vacation time staying at Shenanigan Shores. It's proximity to the beach, the hot tub, and the swimming pool, all made for an enjoyable and relaxing time. Although we had a delay in being able to access the house, it was clean, nicely decorated, and provided a quiet and restful place for our vacation. We would be happy to stay there again and feel sure that other families will enjoy it as well.

Paradise!! This home makes you feel like you’re living in paradise! The pictures capture the home but to be there live is on another level! The home was extremely clean and fit our family of 7 perfectly but could have easily added more people to the home. We cooked every day and all cooking utensils we needed were in the home. We walked to Food Lion and Duck Donuts (10-15 min) because there is a sidewalk on the main road. I would absolutely come back to this home and would HIGHLY recommend The Beach House to everyone I know who would like to visit OBX.

Overall, this was a great vacation spot. Hosts were great! House was great! We had a small inconvenience with three people coming the first day to service different parts of the house, but once addressed the host’s accommodated our requests well. Location is nice!

This place was perfect for 4 people a baby and our two dogs. The place was very nice and clean, and the surrounding area was very quiet and nice. If I make another trip I would be sure to book again.

This vacation stay was unforgettable!! We loved our time here, it was so perfect that it felt like a dream. The location and home were as advertised but better than we could have imagined! Thank you for letting us stay in this amazing home.

My family came here for spring break and spent 4 nights at the house. The house was clean and inviting and my kids loved that they had the upstairs bedrooms to themselves. Dan was extremely responsive when I messaged him with questions and the hot tub was perfect due to the spotty weather we experienced. We had a great time!

Was a perfect place to stay for a wholesome Memorial Day girls weekend! We will definitely be coming back here and thank you Jay for helping us figure out the grill :)!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming Airbnb in the Outer Banks, NC, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated space that perfectly captured the coastal vibe. The attention to detail in the decor made us feel right at home, with soothing colors and unique accents that added to the overall ambiance. One of the highlights of our stay was the location. The property is just a short walk from the beach, making it incredibly convenient for morning strolls and sunset views. We loved being able to easily access the sandy shores and enjoy the sound of the waves. The amenities provided were top-notch, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Whether it was enjoying our morning coffee on the deck or unwinding in the cozy living area after a day of exploring, every moment was delightful.

I have stayed at many nice Airbnb’s during my time as a travel nurse, however Danielle’s was hands down the nicest! Extremely clean, bed was super comfortable, quiet, did I mention EXTREMELY clean?! I could go on and on! My husband and I visited the OBX for our 25th wedding anniversary , and this Airbnb was the icing on the cake. It made our beach trip that much more enjoyable!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Gia was an excellent host and her place was everything we hoped for and more. Some of the most beautiful ocean views in the area and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We’ve already recommended her to some of our closest friends…and now to you also!

Meredith’s place was absolutely perfect. The beach was within close walking distance, private, and the waters there were calmer than other parts of OBX I’ve been to which was perfect for my toddler to play in. The Airbnb was super clean and had many amenities. The beds were very comfy, and I could tell she put in extra thought to make sure the Airbnb would be a peaceful getaway. We hope to be back soon!

Wonderful hosts! The house was immaculate, kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. I really appreciated the list of recommended restaurants and coffee shops (Front Porch Cafe was winner! 😊) We would 100% stay here again.
