Eugene was an amazing host, having helped my family get to the accomodation without any problems and always being in touch whenever it was needed and the language barrier wasn't ever an issue as Eugene was able to understand portuguese. Unfortunately due to work I wasn't able to meet such a great human being that made sure to ask how I was to my family, but I can assure that if the opportunity presents itself I wouldn't hesitate to book again and meet him. From my family's description I could say the house is bigger than it looks on the photos, being a great space for some peace and quiet rural family vacations! I reccommend Eugene's listing as a great option if you are looking for a cheap, quiet and family-oriented house.

It is a perfect place to disconnect from live and enjoy with the family and friends. The hosts have been incredible lovely and made us feel like at home, comfortable knowing they are around, willing to help and sending all the usefull information they could find in advance. They made things easy, congrats!

We are a family of four and we stayed for one week. We found Carla extremely friendly, reliable and helpful. The communication was very easy. Even though the apartment is located in the middle of the Village (and surrounded by two ruins) it is very quiet. The view from the balcony is amazing and one overseas a vast range of forests. There was enough space and all rooms were nicely furnished and decorated. We could use the pool at any time. All in all, we can highly recommend the place and would come back at any time!

Casa dos Avós exceeded our expectations both for the magnificent location very close to the river beach of Alvares, and for the amenities. We were greeted by Hugo and Cristina with extraordinary sympathy and the characteristic friendliness of the people of Beira. We very much like the stay, no doubt repeating. We recommend it.

Paula is an excellent host. He greeted us with a smile and immediately put us at ease, showing availability to help with whatever we needed. The apartment is in excellent condition and is in a quiet area.

Very spacious and pleasant apartment, a kitchen where everything is available to cook if needed (oven, dishwasher, washing machine. The bedding is comfortable. Everything is clean. Hiking possible from the accommodation, 10-minute walk to all amenities. A great place.

The accommodation was very good and cozy, everything was clean and organized. The hostess was very kind and attentive. We know the waterfalls that are not incredible. I would definitely go back there

Our stay was 5 stars. Carmo was always available for whatever we needed, even after check-out. it's a 5-star host too! The house exceeded our expectations, it is excellent to receive a large group like ours, very comfortable and with all the necessary amenities. We wanted to come back!

Well, what a nice surprise! A closely guarded secret! We chose to stay in Côja and at Francisco's house by sheer chance, we wanted a quiet place, away from the confusion and allow us to spend a relaxed weekend. Francisco's apartment is not only very well decorated, organized and equipped, but it also provided us with everything we were looking for. Beds are spacious and very comfortable! The pool is especially pleasant! We will certainly return and I am sure we will be well received. I recommend it!

The apartment was lovely, spotlessly clean, a comfortable sofa and bed. While the washing machine was shared, we never found it busy. The kitchen area was small but fine for breakfasts and snacks. Once we found our way around, the apartment was close to great restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place with a lot of space on the outside terrace , which also has a great view of the mountains .

Everything was great just like in the pictures. Ana Raquel and her husband are charming... I brought a 2-month-old kitten and there was no problem, a very ticketed area and a very large park next door. I'm sure we'll repeat it more often. Thank you for everything.

Beautiful accommodation. The house is lovely. Well presented and comfortable. The pool looks beautiful, but not warm enough for us. Will be lovely in summer. The hot tub is great. Natalia was very helpful and responded to messages very promptly. Would happily stay here again.

The house is very spacious, with several environments and can accommodate a large family easily. There are 4 bedrooms and several rooms with beds/sofas, all rooms with air-conditioning/heating. The outdoor space is immense and our dog loved exploring it every day. Easy communication and very friendly hosts 😊

Rustic and charming cottage in a classic Portuguese mountain village. Beautifully renovated and equipped with all comforts. For me as a tall Dutchman, it was a small challenge, but it was not a problem. I highly recommend this or one of the other cottages in the nearby area.

Beautiful private spot. Paul was amazingly helpful and communicative, any queries answered immediately but also he didnt invade our personal space. Perfect balance. Amazing host. Very relaxed and the house had all the amenities we could want. Definitely recommend.

Bucolic and isolated site with its own access to the clean water stream. At the end of the day, two Serra da Estrela probably attracted by the smell of the barbecue 😆
