Beachfront holiday rentals in Pan Dulce Beach

fantastic small house with tranquil and almost abandoned beach at the end of the Costa Rica, just friendly reminder, if you’re not renting the whole house owner is staying downstairs, which was not problem at all

We loved staying again! The location is perfect for us - both on the beautiful beach, and near the point. The house is set up just right to enjoy with friends with large gathering spaces, and still have some space of your own. We appreciate the care taken before arrival - the house is spotless, and has a homey feel with coffee and staples to get you started. Thank you for another terrific extended stay! We'll see you again!

Nos encantó el lugar estaba muy lindo y limpio y en general bien descrito. Está muy cerca de la playa y cuenta con un buen espacio para parquear. La cocina está completa, solo que no hay sal ni aceite. Tiene una linda terraza, donde compartir y comer. En la descripción no lo dice, pero solo tiene un AC, y está en la sala. Las almohadas de las camas son MUY incomodas, fue lo único que nos disgustó.

The location is great, few doors down to a supermarket and few restaurants. The property is beachfront and private. It’s more worth than what I paid for. Ana is a really nice person and eager to help. I’ll be back!

Absolutely amazing spot! We felt right at home from the moment we arrived ! The grounds were just gorgeous and full of wildlife! We loved the outdoor kitchen which is so roomy and lets you hear all the monkeys and birds! The kayaking near the place was fantastic! We had fun fishing and seeing all the mangroves! We can’t say enough good things about the hosts who cooked many delicious meals for us and were just generally amazing! Room was perfect and comfortable with great decks for looking out over the grounds! Just a wonderful experience in some of the best natural surroundings!

My son and I stayed at Jamie's casita for 5 days in June, 2025. We had an excellent experience. If anything, the description of the house was understated. The house itself is very secure, secluded behind a private gated entrance. The grounds are lovely and we frequently saw hummingbirds, wild turkeys, toucans and numerous other tropical birds. We were very comfortable there. The house has 2 beds in the air conditioned bed room and another bed in the kitchen area. The kitchen has plenty of room and is well equipped. We really enjoyed the sheltered patio area and spent a lot of time there. The house is perfectly situated if you want to surf the point at Pavones. It's an easy 8 minute walk. There is a good restaurant literally next door to the house and an alley that leads past a number of businesses and ultimately to "the Wall". In all, this is an excellent place for 2 or 3 people to stay when surfing Pavones. Cheers.

2nd stay for us this year was for 3 weeks and we enjoyed every minute of it.

Excelente lugar, muy limpio, buena zona muy tranquila, hay dos lugares para comida típica las 24 horas, a 50m de la casa, Marena y Raquel fueron muy amable, el bus y los taxis pasan al frente, buena señal de Internet, y el super mercado a 80m, y con los abanicos con las ventanas abiertas fue suficiente, definitivamente lo recomiendo

Hermosa cabaña en el medio de la jungla, monos y aves que se ven desde la cama. Con caminatas al rededor en un ambiente totalmente hermoso y conservado, hicimos la cabalgata con Paulo, excelente guía que nos brindó una experiencia inolvidable

Absolutely amazing this home is! For a surfer it’s heaven. Located near the point at Pavones it’s a short walk to an easy paddle out at the point and let the current take you the length of the wave. Also centrally located where you either walk across the river or bridge to the local town center or market and few restaurants that are in town. Loved the random dog showing up to say hi too! The property is like a jungle setting. Gorgeous! The home was big enough for my teenagers and young adult kids to roam around and feel at home. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean as well! The kitchen was perfect using gas rather than electric portable stoves too. There also was an outdoor bbq which we used almost everyday. When in the jungle surfing all day it was an absolute joy to cool off in the pool! Overall an amazing stay at this paradise of a home!!! If it’s available this sanctuary will be top of my list of places to stay in Pavones!!! Paraiso Pura vida!!!!!!!!!

Magical and thoughtfully designed spaces in a tranquil area away from the surf crowd but just a short drive away from more populous areas if you wish. Yoga deck is perfect and looks out to Golfo Dulce so you can listen to waves as you flow. 💯% recommend.

Paz is a special place and Roberto is a wonderful host. The floor to ceiling screens in the living room/dining room situate you right in the secondary forest. Heaven for nature loving bird nerds. If you’ve spent time on the Osa before, you know Howler monkeys wake you at 4:30am. We watched howler, spider, and squirrel monkeys from bed. The beach is a minute walk. A covered porch with hammocks and chairs to enjoy the beautiful Gulfo Dulce. And a small pool to cool off in (key) and watch Macaws, capuchin monkeys, hermit crabs & the waves. We bought groceries in Puerto Jimenez and cooked most of meals for the week. Kitchen has big fridge, sharp knives, and worked well for us. Marluna Lodge (5 min drive) for Taco Tuesday. Visited local surf breaks and surfed the right point break out front of Paz. Tide dependent. Roberto can help you figure it out. Roberto was very attentive, warm, and helpful. He’s created a beautiful space in a beautiful part of the world.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was the perfect place to unwind and truly be together as a family. The animal life was incredible. We woke up to monkeys in the morning and playing throughout the day just outside the house. Both john and Oscar were super helpful and friendly. And if you have a chance to have Jackson’s cook- she was incredible. If you’re in for a rustic, full of nature, full family time then this is your place! Also don’t miss out on scheduling a horseback ride with Carlos at finca tropical! It surpassed our expectations and my husband used to guide horseback rides in Colorado. Enjoy the time together and this charming place in Cabo matopalo!

We had a wonderful stay in Playa Blanca!! I had no cell service/communication on my end due to data issues with my phone for several days before our arrival, but we found it without issue with the original directions Amanda has on the listing. Amanda and Jay were very friendly and welcoming. Our kids loved playing with their kids on the jungle gym and in the pool. This stay was at the end of a 10 day stay for us in Costa Rica and was the perfect cap for us to rest/reset and enjoy the last few days in the Osa. Its a large property and very quiet and peaceful (well except for the beautiful macaws making a ruckus in the almond trees!) We paddle boarded each morning on the calm gulf and saw sea turtles daily! They have built a wonderful little school house on property as well and have unique opportunities for kids to attend school/study abroad so to speak for those that may be interested. We highly recommend this property!

This was our first time renting an Airbnb in a foreign country, so we were a little nervous. Charles was super helpful and responsive during the whole trip. He gave us great recommendations, scheduled our excursions, and answered all of our questions. The main thing we wanted to do was to go offshore fishing. Charles hooked us up with two great captains (Louis and Donald (Dos Mas), and we had a great day of fishing. The house is located just a very short walk from the pier where you catch the boat. There are also several good restaurants that are within a short walk from the house. We also did an off-road drive and a short hike to the King Louis waterfall, tour of chocolate farm, and went surfing with Keilor (Lakos surf shop in town). We would recommend all of these activities highly. This was a great trip and we had a party of 6 from age 7 to 71. The fishing was amazing.

Casa Cielo is a amazing place to stay if visiting Pavones!! Very peaceful, safe, and beautiful place to relax in between surf sessions with great food close by! My go to spot when visiting Pavones!!

Came here with my family of four and another family of three. It was a great place to stay and everyone was very comfortable. We saw spider monkeys right out front, rented boogie boards and enjoyed the delicious breakfasts. We would definitely stay here again on a trip down to Pavones.

Ana Y Manuel's place is extremely special. It's spacious and has lots of room, and is steps from the beach. They were such beautiful hosts and i got into many beautiful conversations with Manuel and felt very comfortable and safe with Ana. They were so incredibly generous and patient, teaching me about the planta in their garden and offering fruits homegrown from their trees. I would definitely return here. *i would recommend speaking spanish or atleast being willing to learn. Ana Y Manuel are a local couple and are grateful to be able to communicate in the language they know best! Muchas gracias Ana y Manuel, à la proxima vez!

A casa é muito boa, localização excelente aproximadamente 5.8 quilômetros da praia de pavones, vizinhos amigáveis e um espaço incrível. Vimos diversos animais do quintal. A casa é segura e conta com uma internet rápida. Estacionamento para o carro. Não tem água quente, mas conta com uma cozinha equipada para fazer suas refeições. O espaço é ótimo e voltaremos. Fica ao lado de uma loja de surf, próximo de supermercado e restaurante. No meio de duas ondas, Pilón e playa Pavones. O anfitrião foi muito atencioso e nos ajudou com tudo. Não vemos a hora de retornar.

Wat heerlijk was het weer. Echt zo een prachtig paradijs op aarde. De vogels, de beesten de bloemen, de zee. De omgeving is geweldig om paard te rijden, of te wandelen, te dromen, een yogales mee te pikken. Je voelt je gelijk welkom en het eten is super. Wat ook heel leuk is, is om een jungle tour te doen, echt verrassend. Ik ga vaak in mijn eentje paardrijden maar ook zonder ervaring kun je een prachtige jungle tocht maken met gids. En op de vistrip die ik deed heb ik een flinke tonijn gevangen en hebben we tientallen roggen uit het water zien springen en grote groepen dolfijnen gezien. Echt heel gaaf. Rancho Burica is wat mij betreft een absolute aanrader.

This place is on quite a different level than most accommodations in this rustic area, and is also the absolute closest spot to the top of Pavones Point. It’s super family (and wife!) friendly. Many places here are more oriented to traveling surfers and just more rustic. This place is PREMIUM and well worth the extra cost for anyone looking for something extra clean and comfortable. It was also easy to keep our place nice and cool which is VERY important here. The pool and grounds are gorgeous too and I can’t say enough about the location. You don’t really need a car here. Everything is super close.

I had a fantastic experience at this property! The host was extremely accommodating, responsive, and kind. The space was clean, comfortable, and matched the description perfectly. The location was convenient, close to local attractions and public transportation. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the little touches that made my stay extra special. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay!

This was our family’s 5th trip to Pavones . We like to try different places and locations . Giselle’s home was beautiful , spacious and very comfortable. We had a smaller group and it didn’t feel overwhelming as it’s a big place . Outdoor spaces were amazing , and a quick walk to essentially a private beach . (Only saw 1 person over 8 days ) a short walk to La Pina restaurant for a pizza or dinner and only 3-5 minutes from various spots near Pavones point. I will say this was perhaps the most well equipped kitchen and linens we have experienced yet . Oliver the caretaker was quite helpful and his English is fair . Overall a very positive experience.
