We are a 10-minute walk to the Lake Gold Line Metro Station, where you can catch the Gold Line to South Pasadena and enjoy Mission Street's shops/restaurants, take the Del Mar stop where you can take in the famous Rose Bowl Flea Market (2nd Sunday of every month), take the Union Square stop to experience Olvera Street (margaritas, anyone?) or a delicious French Dip sandwich from Phillipe's. If it's a museum you seek, exit at the Memorial Park Station to find the Norton Simon Museum, one of the best collections of visual art in the Los Angeles area. Downtown Pasadena with it's wonderful shops and restaurants is a mere 5 minutes away by bike or car (or, for those of you who enjoy some exercise, a 30-minute walk). We have two adorable dogs. They never have access to the cottage, however, so it is allergen/pet free. During your stay, we happily keep them in the house and only let them out to do their business in the front yard of the main house. You might hear the occasional bark, as they love to protect their homestead. But, most likely, you'll never hear them as the cottage is a comfortable distance away. BTW they are friendly and love meeting new people!
