This location has some of the best fishing spots in the river as well as Salmon Brook and Gardner Creek. Snowmobile trails and access are a few miles away. There is plenty of room to park sled trailers Local activities include kayaking, hot-air ballooning, tubing, hunting, and snowmobiling. If its fun, its gotta be Maine!

The Rustic Retreat Lodge was the perfect place for our large family! Located at the top of the hill, we saw beautiful sunsets every morning, and spent multiple evenings stargazing. Terri was extremely friendly, responsive - an all around wonderful host! We will definitely stay again if we find ourselves visiting Northern Maine again.

A couple bumps along the way, but the response was fast and effective. The local management team responded in amazing time to our needs. Great place to stay, pellet stove was awesome at the end of a long day of snowmobiling. The garage was extremely helpful. Christopher went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and our stay was fantastic Ron and Suzanne, the maintenance team, kept access to the house during a huge snowstorm and also made sure we had everything we needed. Communication was excellent, my group all agreed it would be a house we’d return to.

Even though we had to cut our stay short, we definitely want to go back to Mike and Carrie's place. We were welcomed by some wonderful goodies upon our arrival and the cabin had everything we needed.
