The cottage is located a short 15 minute drive from the 401 and the town of Cobourg, and is a 25 minute drive into Peterborough. We are 5 minutes from Rice Lake which is well known for its great fishing, and 20 minutes drive to the famous Cobourg beach. Come and relax at the cottage!

All eco , all solar destination. This is a large pod. The large Private Picnic Shelter is awesome for Rain or Shine, full of picnic tables. Private Campfire Pit for your all night campfires and tons of room for extra tents if desired. WanderingAlpacas! Parties and events NOT allowed !

Stay in a converted/restored century tourist cabin/hunt camp on the edge of Provincially Significant Wetlands & Woodlands and overlook 5 pristine acres of wetlands off the Pigeon River in the heart of the Kawarthas. All this is set on a 55 acre organic farm. We have a 10 kw solar panel, native plant nursery as well as heritage breed cattle, turkeys and chickens.

If you are looking for rest relaxation and connecting with nature, this is a perfect location. We are close to Peterborough and several charming small towns and interesting excursions. You can be as quiet or as active as you wish.

Our goal is to be sustainable on an acre & 1/2! We have 4 sheep 1 dog 2 cats and a bunch of chickens! The cabin is powered by solar enough for lights and cell phone charging.
