Another long stay at Forge End has come to an end for my self and work colleague. Again a big thank you to Alea for accommodating us and looking after us over the past 13 weeks and during the booking process. Forge End has been a real home from home for us and has made a long period working away from home a really enjoyable. Your home in Applecross is real find for us and if/when we are required to visit Applecross you will be our first choice every time. Thank you again from both of us.

This garden cottage was straight out of a romantic fairytale! The gorgeous garden surrounding the cottage and the view of the water and misty rolling hills framed perfectly by a stone wall and ivy were just breathtaking (especially while sitting in the wood fire heated hot tub). The cottage itself was incredibly cozy. We had nearly gotten stranded on Islay with car issues and we weren’t even sure we’d get to enjoy this stop on our holiday. By the time we arrived, we were completely exhausted from the chaos of the previous 24 hours so this relaxing and welcoming space was exactly what we needed to decompress. ☺️ The cottage was well equipped and very clean! We had everything we needed and then some. Caroline was an exceptional host. She was remarkably responsive and lovely to interact with both prior to our stay (when we weren’t sure we’d be able to make it) and during our stay! Anyone with the opportunity to stay here, should absolutely do it! Thank you for everything, Caroline!!

Absolutely fantastic location, with fantastic scenery nearby. Had some wonderful walks, literally behind the property. The BBQ area was fantastic like the hot tub. I can’t say much more, but I will be looking to return ASAP Matthew is a fantastic host and nothing seems to be too much of a problem. Loved the place, oh and the Highland cows are awesome.

We had an amazing couple of days in this awesome Airbnb. Michelle gave us a warm welcome, when we arrived. The house is a perfect place to explore the Isle of Skye and relax in the hut tub in the evening and enjoy the sea view. We would have wished to stay longer and will definitely be back. One hundred percent recommended.

The house was wonderful - we were delighted with both the location and with the property. The house was immaculate, and beautifully furnished with some really lovely pictures and objects throughout. The rooms were all good-sized and bright with the kitchen/dining area overlooking the garden a real standout. It was very well maintained and it felt like a proper home from home. The location was really lovely too - nice and quiet with a very short walk to the beach. We particularly enjoyed our walks around the area and along to Chanonry Point to look for the dolphins. A local pub and a lovely restaurant were close by too which was a bonus! Our host, Eva, provided us with clear and concise information prior to our arrival and messaged us a couple of times during our stay to make sure that all was in order. This was very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the property to others, and we certainly plan to visit again!

Wow!! What a beautiful spot! Betty’s lookout was perfectly outfitted for our party of three and we enjoyed both the cabin, the hot tub, the wood burning stove and the views!!! We were so lucky to get the pleasure of the incredible food, service and ambience of Monkstadt 1745 for dinner while there. Making our bucket list trip to Scotland and Isle of Skye so very special. Thank you for an incredible experience.

Lovely place , super clean with everything you would ever need for a short/long stay .super responsive when messaged too ! What a great place ! Only issue is parking on and off the drive can be super tight due to the neighbours parking outside the drive other than that what a place !

We liked the Angels share very much and we immediately felt very comfortable. Thank you, we will be happy to come back.

The place was very quite and peaceful. The house was well maintained with all kitchen and bathroom facilities. There is private car parking enough for at least 2-3 cars. There is one queen bed in ground floor and 2 single beds on the another upper stairs bedroom. We loved it and highly recommended for those who need peacetime.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cabin Hill in Ord, thanks to our amazing host, Heather. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel incredibly welcome. The cabin itself is cosy, peaceful, and set in such a stunning location—it was the perfect Highland escape. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious homemade scones Heather kindly prepared for us. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with a host who truly goes the extra mile, we can’t recommend Cabin Hill and Heather enough!

Beautiful location minutes from Neist Point with amazing views across the street! Stephanie was such an amazing and welcoming host who greeted us when we arrived and made sure to check in on us throughout our stay. The cottage was exactly as pictured, and we loved all the animals Stephanie kept around. We would love to stay again!

We had a fabulous stay at Merman Cottage. Alastair and Helen were absolutely lovely hosts - present, friendly and helpful without being overly so and their suggestions of places to go and things to do were spot on. We were at full capacity with four adults and a toddler but the cottage is well laid out and spacious enough that we felt cosy but not cramped. Everything that we needed was supplied: comfortable beds, fluffy towels, nice quality toiletries, pantry basics, fire lighters/kindling/wood, etc. Also made a lot of use of the grab and go binder of walking routes. Interesting books on local history, the renovation of the cottage and so on. The location is very central so it’s only 20 minutes to Portree and about 40 minutes to Quiraing or Glenbrittle. Would highly recommend.

Very cozy home in Luib. There are NO restaurants nearby, either cook at home or eat before you will reach there. Wonderful view from therrace across the Loch to the opposite mountains

We had a wonderful 4 nights at this beautiful and luxurious cottage. We loved everything about our stay- from the stylish and comfortable interior design, to the stunning views and amusing rabbits outside. Juliet was helpful in her suggestions of local restaurants and the instructions for arrival and departure were clear and simple. The bed was so comfortable! The large bath was ideal for soaking post hike sore limbs. We were looking forward to using the woodburning stove, but the weather was too nice (Yes, we were very lucky!) We found a car to be a necessity for this wonderfully secluded location, and while the private road was a bit rough, it was easily traversed with a standard rental car. The location was ideal for reaching all parts of Skye, being only a 5 minutes from two of the main A roads. This is an exceptional cottage and we were delighted with all aspects of our stay!

Grand View was a brilliant place for our family holiday (2 adults, two children and a dog). The house was bigger than we expected and it was so homely. The views were absolutely breathtaking!! The beds were so comfortable and cosy. The log burner was great as even in May it felt chilly at times. The electric heaters were great too and kept us more than toasty. We loved the garden (and so did our dog), the views were amazing. We’d definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

A stunning location for this cottage. It was peaceful and has incredible views over the waters to the mountains. It was wonderful to see the tide come and go, we felt close to nature. The cottage was clean and well stocked with kitchen equipment. There are games and books and enough for wood for your first night there. Underfloor heating was lovely and the fire heated the house really well to the point I needed to open the door to cool down - which is great to know you won’t be cold when you’re up there at the end of Autumn! Having a bath while looking out in the views to the mountains felt like a luxury.

Beautiful cozy cottage with absolutely stunning views. Isle of Skye is a busy place and this cottage gets away from it all. Explore the surrounding area - south isle - to get away from the crowds and tourism. Hike down to the loch where the mussel farm is - gorgeous! Thanks So much for such a lovely place Kenneth 😊

We love The Old Byre! It is our second trip to Scotland from the US, and we made it a point to stay in The Old Byre again because we love it so much! Anne is incredibly generous, leaves a great, stocked kitchen, and always a warm welcome with a little gift or note. The cottage is so homey and peaceful, we never want to leave and are always sad to go! Thanks for another wonderful stay, Anne!

Four ladies stayed here for the Solo 0.5 Celtman triathlon weekend. The location was perfect for us only 30;mins to the start, 45 to Torridon. The accomodation was very comfortable and we really appreciated the two showers. We had very un-Scottish hot weather so we did not need the heating at all which was fine once we worked out how to turn the heaters off The drying area at the back was great too. we arrived at the cottage a little later than check in. The first thing that stood out for us was just how cozy the place was as the photos do not do it justice. Seonaid was communicative throughout our stay however we unfortunately never got the chance to meet her as we were out and about enjoying the amazing surroundings the area has to offer. The cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the whole of Ardnamurchan. we enjoyed our evening's relaxing by the fire for there was plenty of fuel available on site at no extra cost. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen area is well equipped to cook. Perfect for for self catering as food and restaurant's are limited in this area. however can be found if you are willing to travel. Near to the cottage is the river Shiel ..... There is a bench just a five minute walk away where you can sit and enjoy the sounds of nature. we will hopefully return in the future.
