A cosy, rural retreat in upper Nidderdale

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely warm welcome at Ashley’s place. The cottage is very comfortable, peaceful and had lovely homely touches. We walked the upper nidderdale way and the cottage is very close to the path so no need to drive. Beautiful scenery and local pubs within walking distance. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The Tree Cabin

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Amazing stay in the most gorgeous and peaceful place! Tony and Barbara were both lovely - so accommodating and even gifted us a bottle of sparkling wine when we arrived as it was my birthday! The Airbnb itself is charming and so well equipped for its size, plus, it feels private and cosy despite being a short walk to a local shop and pub. We loved the fact that the kitchen was kitted out with Barbara’s handmade pottery, and bought some mugs from her as a little souvenir. I’m going to miss waking up to the sound of birds and the beautiful view of the pond - I’ll even miss the outdoor shower, which is UNREAL by the way! Thanks again for the best stay!

The Harome-en-suite, king bed & great views

BelleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you’re looking for something peaceful, quiet and private (with the exception of peering sheeps) then this is perfect. The hut was beautifully set up for a couple’s getaway, with a lovely interior and all the amenities as described. Lorrie was very friendly, helpful and responsive. The place was very easy to find (by driving), close to Malton and about 40 minutes drive into York. Only negative for us was the top part of the glass door of the hut did not have a shade or shutter, hence it was very bright during sunrise (although eye masks are provided!) which was 4:30am for us during this time of the year. Otherwise we had the most relaxing stay and would definitely recommend.

An entire barn conversion in stunning location

AlastairRating, 5 stars1 day ago
This was our first ever airB&B and it didn’t disappoint, it was excellent. Exactly as described, and like the photos. The garden was dog secure, and it was relaxing to sit in the porch and not worry about the dog being loose. The barn is very peaceful, and the surrounding area delightful, we did a big walk along Sutton Bank, from a guide book provided in the property.

Sleepover with Miniature horse Basil

CraigRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Stayed with Basil for two nights with my wife and two children (7&4) and it was an amazing unique experience. It was brilliant having Basil coming to stay with us in the evenings and Britney was really kind letting the kids brush the horses. The location is great and you can keep yourself away from everything and just switch off and eat at local pubs and cafes, or you also have the city on your doorstop with everything you need. We popped to Sherwood Pines which was about 25 minutes away. Also ate at the Waggon and Horses in the next village and food was good. The food at the Tea Shoppe was also really good. Britney answered any questions we had and was really responsive. We’d love to come and stay again one day and the children were very sad to leave Basil.

The End Place - A romantic hideaway for two

JudithRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a wonderful stay. Trevor and Jules were a joy to talk to and had a wealth of local information to pass on. No television was needed as the view through the large picture window held our focus throughout the stay. The wildlife around us was very entertaining especially the pheasants, magpie, ducks and alpacas. Jules was very lucky we didn’t steal the two beautiful kittens that they were rearing. We enjoyed Pately Bridge and had a fantastic meal at The Crown Inn. All in all a great visit! Thank you Jules and Trevor!!

Amazing Space in an Amazing Place

NeilRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The barn was absolutely lovely. Situated in a very private location. The surroundings are amazing and just as Mel described with each window literally like looking at a beautiful landscape picture. So peaceful. The perfect location to decompress. You have never heard silence like it ! The property and amenities themselves were perfectly as described. Very cleverly designed property with the split levels. Everything we needed and the absence of those we did not (No TV). Special mention for the bed and bedding. It was the most comfortable bed and pillows in any rental/ hotel we have experienced. The property has walks available right out of the door. But the one we chose had some steepish inclines and drops up to the top of the moor and absolutely gave our legs a work out. We knew we had done it ! The perfect weekend to decompress. Thankyou for such a lovely property and location.
