Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Pohjois-Lappi

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

Great place to stay, quick and easy check in. The sauna is definitely a highlight and the beds are also very comfortable for sleeping. However, I think there is a lack of wifi. If you're there for a week like us, you already need internet 🛜 Otherwise, everything was really great 🥰

We spent 2 nights in Sanna's house and everything was perfect. Before you even arrived, communication with Sanna was very quick and easy. Her house is very nice, very well decorated and filled with little touches. The sauna is a real plus. This is the first time I've stayed with someone else and felt so good there. There are people who have a sense of service and Sanna is definitely one of them. I can only recommend, everything was just perfect.

We had a great stay. The place is beautiful, quiet and surrounded by nature. The house is very well cared for, well equipped and very comfortable. Very responsive and friendly host, always responded promptly to all our concerns. I would definitely go back there.

Superb environment. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on the river, great northern lights, ... Very nice cabin renovated with taste and good equipment. We will be happy to come back in the summer to test the outdoor sauna and hot tub.

We thank Matti and Marita for the nice time in the house and will be very happy to come back. It was totally relaxing and we felt at home from the 1st second. The house is very cozy and warm, perfectly clean and the bathroom was newly renovated with foot underfloor heating and anything that makes it pleasant. The sauna was great. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Beds were very comfortable. The internet was very fast and is fast enough to work from there if you have to. We enjoyed the trip to the reindeer, the cross-country skis and recovered very well during long walks in the woods. The hosts were always approachable and totally helpful. It was very interesting and we learned a lot about Lapland and Finland. Thank you for everything and hopefully until soon!

We had the most amazing time! This place is truly magical—so calm and relaxing. It offers great privacy while still feeling safe, as there are other houses nearby (so you’re not completely alone in the woods). One of my favorite things was simply looking out the windows at the breathtaking view of snow-covered trees—so idyllic! A highlight of our stay was being able to see the northern lights, both from inside and outside the house. The cottage itself felt like home—warm and cozy with the fireplace, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Taija was incredibly kind and provided us with great recommendations for the area. We absolutely loved our time here and would come back in a heartbeat!

We stayed at the property for a week and felt very much at home. There is everything you need, the descriptions were great and you can actually reach everything with a nice walk. Near the accommodation there are many activities you can do, otherwise you can relax in front of the fireplace or in the sauna. We would always come back! :-)

The place was just perfect – very nicely decorated and with a lot of love for detail, you feel right at home. Everything was super clean and tidy. The sauna and pool were an absolute highlight. Kitchen was very well equipped! I would like to highlight the communication with Kristiina: she always responded very quickly to messages and provided us with many great tips for excursions and activities in the area. Great stay in a top location! pia always responded and the listing matched the description. fabulous location for cross country skiing and skiing. I'm sure I'll also come here for mountain biking on the sacred credit routes!

The apartment was in a great location. Restaurants and ski trails were found right next door. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. Virgine responded quickly to messages and made sure everything went smoothly. He gave us some great tips about activities and restaurants.

If you are thinking about booking this one, use me as the signal to make it official. The Pÿha Igloos are amazing. Great location, lots of stuff to do. We saw the Northern Lights from our bed plus hunting them around the town was very easy and safe. I will comeback for sure.

Thank you Marianne for your hospitality. Cozy cottage, perfect for 4 people. The equipment of the cottage was very convenient, it had everything you needed for a week-long stay. Comfortable beds, a place to hang out in the afternoon, the internet works impeccable. Good location of the cottage, off the beaten path, quiet and just 20 min. walk to the shop, restaurants, bars and other attractions of the town. We didn't have a car, but that didn't bother us. We went to the cross-country trails in a few minutes. Marianne advised us the best way to get from the airport, and told us how the weather was coming. When we had any questions before or during our stay, she always responded within a few minutes. Marianne's place was a very good place to stay for a week. Highly recommend! Thanks, and best regards.

We highly recommend this place to nature lovers seeking the true beauty of Lapland, far from touristy spots. The cabin is cozy and well-equipped, staying warm even in -30°C. There are two saunas available on-site, adding to the charm. The surroundings are breathtaking, and the host is kind and helpful. Special thanks to Juha, who took great care of the property – his warm and helpful nature made our stay even better. We saw the Northern Lights every night, right from the cabin, thanks to the remote location free from light pollution. Reindeer roam freely in the area, and there are plenty of trails to explore nearby. The road from Poland was well-maintained and safe, even with heavy snow. A truly magical place we’ll definitely return to!🩷🫶

The property matches the description and pictures! I was surprised by the number of neighbors, but the location was really peaceful and comfortable. Comfortable and spacious accommodation overall.
