A very comfortable king bed, ensuite bathroom (shower has great pressure!) & everything you’ll need to make a cuppa or heat dinner in the microwave. 2 minute walk to Riverside Drive, Waiwhetu stream & Te Whiti Park. With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.

Johns Hut is located in our private manuka and forestry block. It is an idyllic spot with hundreds of acres to explore and with only native birds to join you. There is hot water for you to enjoy for outdoor showers and baths but no electricity and no phone reception, so you can truly relax and unwind. There is a large outdoor fire, self contained kitchen and plenty of beds - all beautifully restored in their rustic form. We would love to host you in our spot of heaven!
