Holiday rentals with beach access in Port-des-Barques

We spent a very enjoyable week in Valerie's apartment. She and her husband welcomed us at the door even though our flight was delayed. A gift of brioche , orange juice and a locally produced aperitif was a nice touch. The apartment is spotlessly clean and has everything one could possibly need. it was really quiet in spite of being on the Quai which is a hive of activity. She replied to any communication within minutes. Highly recommended.

Vue imprenable sur la mer et sur un vieil arbre magnifique au lever et au coucher du soleil. Logement très propre et fonctionnel. Arrivée et départ facile grâce à la boite à clé et les échanges avec Clémence. Nous recommandons sans hésitation.

Ein sehr schönes Apartment mit Blick auf die Hafeneinfahrt- zwischen dem Ketten- und dem Laternenturm gelegen. Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem schönen alten Haus aus weißem Kalkstein. Die Wohnung war durch viele Dachfenster gut zu belüften und die Schrägen machen die Wohnung sehr charmant. Es gibt in unmittelbarer Nähe eine Vielzahl von Restaurants, ein Strand ist in 5 Minuten Entfernung und die Innenstadt von La Rochelle ist ebenfalls in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Wir sind mit dem Zug angereist und haben sehr Vieles zu Fuß oder mit dem Leih-Fahrrad unternommen. Die Unterkunft ist auch vom Bahnhof aus gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Stéphane est un hôte d’une grande chaleur humaine, particulièrement attentionné et accueillant. Son logement reflète parfaitement ce souci du détail : idéalement situé pour découvrir la région, il offre un cadre paisible, parfaitement isolé, décoré avec goût et équipé avec soin. La propreté est irréprochable, et chaque élément semble pensé pour assurer un séjour des plus agréables. Que ce soit en couple, en famille ou avec un jeune enfant, tout est réuni pour se sentir comme chez soi. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Anne, qui est une hôte très réactive. L'emplacement de l'appartement est idéal, au calme, à 2 pas de l'océan. Juste à côté de l'appartement se situe un Hôtel Spa Restaurant dans lequel nous avons pu manger, le repas et le service y sont excellents, et la terrasse offre une vue incroyable sur l'océan.

L'appartement est très bien situé, au pied de la tour de la lanterne, à deux pas du vieux port et à 5 minutes de la plage de la concurrence. Le lieux est idéal pour rayonner à pied, à vélo (station libre service toute proche) et pour prendre les bateaux bus vers l'aquarium ou le port des minimes. Il faut une vingtaine de minutes pour aller à pied à la gare.

A very central and comfortable apartment on the first floor. The location at the market and close to good coffee shops and restaurants is perfect. The kitchen is well equipped, a nice shower and use of a plug in fan for hot evenings. The second bedroom is smaller but we didn’t use this. Baby facilities of a cot, changing table etc also very useful. Thank you Clotilde!

Carmen is a great host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is fab, in a great location by the lagoon. As two families we enjoyed the privacy of the ensuite room with separate entrance. Having another ensuite and separate bathroom worked well for us. The main space with a little kitchen area at the back was well used too, opening out onto the terraces with ever changing views of the sea and amazing sunsets. The only issue, out of our host's control, was the bugs - mosquitoes weren't repelled by our repellent or deterred by long clothes, and the gnats and wasps were also persistent during the sunny weather. La Plage restaurant, two doors along, is welcoming for drinks and great seafood. There is an obstacle course and exercise route just along the prom for the kids as well as a baguette machine and another restaurant which rarely seemed to be open! Lidl, E Leclerc and Intermarche are within 10 mins drive. La Rochelle and Cognac within 1 hour. We would happily return.

Le logement est parfait pour un séjour en couple. La plage est à peine à 2 minutes à pieds et les commerces sont accessibles en 5 minutes à pieds également. C’est l’endroit idéal pour poser la voiture et profiter. Tout est conforme à la description avec du matériel de qualité. Je recommande vivement !

séjour calme et très agréable, le logement était parfait pour 4, nous avons découvert les alentours en vélo ainsi qu'en voiture. Nous conseillons vivement à ceux qui cherchent un endroit paisible et près de la nature.

Isabelle a été extrêmement accueillante, disponible et arrangeante sur notre arrivée. Le logement est idéalement situé dans un cadre paisible et à la fois proche des commodités. Tout était parfaitement propre et rangé. Il y avait même de quoi faire un copieux petit déjeuner, une charmante attention. Isabelle a pris le temps de nous expliquer les balades, les restaurants, les incontournables de cette jolie île. Nous recommandons vivement cette hôte si gentille. Had a lovely stay at Géraldine’s. Comfortable and clean home with everything you could need. Location quiet but within short walking distance to supermarket and pretty square with a boulangerie and couple of restaurants as well as the tourist office. Having the bikes to use as and when was a huge bonus - we enjoyed our cycle to other villages. In the evening hearing the swifts swooping by whilst sitting in the courtyard was very relaxing. No hesitation to recommend.

Une maison avec beaucoup de goût et de charme, vaste et très fonctionnelle. Proche de toutes les commodités : centre ville à 3 min avec de superbes boutiques et restaurants. Échanges très cordiaux et réactifs avec Kevin notre hôte. Je recommande les logements de Kevin , allez y les yeux fermés, juste envie d’y retourner très vite. Merci pour l’accueil Kevin. Corinne is such an amazing and responsive host, and her place was exactly what we needed. Would 100% recommend. A bit about the apartment: it looked exactly as described, comfortable and clean. Its location probably can’t be better since it was right by the pier of Saint-Martin, a very charming and calm village. Now, the real stars were the hosts. Corinne herself was very responsive and proactive and even though she wasn’t there at check-in, she arranged for a family member to not only be there and greet us, but also drive us from the La Rochelle train station to the island. She also called the bus company to confirm our bus time upon departure and was kind enough to allow a later check in so we had a place to leave our belongings while waiting for our train. Overall, amazing hosts. Thank you!

Excellent séjour dans l'appartement d'Arnaud. Très bien accueillis par Fadia. L'emplacement est parfait pour aller sur la Rochelle en 10 minutes à pied par le bord de mer.

Amazing apartment on the port front in La Rochelle, with great views and in the centre of this very walkable town. Lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby. Apartment was clean and tidy with everything you need, including for travelling with a baby. Highly recommended!

Nous avons passé un tres bon séjour dans l’appartement de Valérie. Décoré avec goût, on a été agréablement surpris de toutes les petites attentions et l’équipement. Idéalement bien situé, on a pu tout faire à pied. Vivant la journée mais calme la nuit. Petit plus pas négligeable: le parking privé dans une ville où toutes les places sont payantes. Je recommande. Au plaisir de revenir dans ce petit cocoon.
