Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Portsea

We loved the setting and the renovations. Comfortable, warm, relaxing. We wanted a place that was close to the sights and shops of the lower Peninsula, on a quite street.

The house itself is lovely but we did find it a little misleading as we thought that the pool was Private. One of our guest has low mobility so walking to the pool etc. Is not possible for him. That was very disappointing but the house itself is lovely. It was under equipped with Plates and other serving items. There were no serving bowls, no salad servers, no platters, minimal utensils including an egg flip and tea strainer, no cheeseboard and minimal glasses. There were also only 6 dinner plates in a four bedroom house. So they did have to buy extra things and we also bought extra things. But all in all a lovely house.

We really enjoyed staying at Tahlia’s cosy cottage. Communication was excellent and the place was easy to find. It’s in a great spot, close to Rye beaches but in a quiet location. The kitchen and bathroom are really well appointed with everything we needed and the lounge was so comfy in the evenings. Even though it was chilly weather we didn’t need the wood fire as the AC was enough. The yard is big and dog friendly - one of the reasons we picked it, even though we ended up not bringing the dog. We will certainly be back!

This was the most beautiful, bright, and cosy Airbnb — better than the photos! We had the most perfect long weekend stay here and really fell in love with the place. It was spotless, peaceful, and the hosts were kind and responsive. We’d come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

We had such a great stay – the place has a cool surfer lodge vibe and felt super cozy for a winter getaway. The spa and sauna were luxurious additions and made it feel like a real treat. Beds were really comfy, check-in was a breeze, and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do on the peninsula. Everything ran smoothly and we left feeling totally refreshed – would love to come back!

We travelled as a group of 4 adults with 2 kids. The house is gorgeous, in a great location and with everything you could possibly need. We loved our stay and made great use of the beautiful tennis court (for tennis and improv pickle ball!). Nikki is a great host, with clear and friendly communication. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Debbie’s place. Located on the hills of Mount Martha, near the road running along Mornington Peninsula. It is a short drive to many amenities such as restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies. The heated pool (38 degrees) on the top floor, next to the main living area was the highlight. Our entire family was soaked in the heated pool overlooking Safety beach and Arthur’s Seat during the winter weather. Perfect. We were just surprised to see there was some renovation work ongoing at the car porch and lift area, but there was no work or disturbance to our stay, so it did not interfere with our experience.

An incredible stay. Property is perfect and location is great. Such a peaceful stay. Bec is very responsive and great to contact. An amazing stay, can’t wait to book again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is perfectly positioned to enjoy everything that Sorrento has to offer. The main street shops, restaurants and trendy hotels are merely 2 minutes walk away, not to mention the beach and ferry terminal. I highly recommend this property. Checking in was a breeze. Fantastic location, private and very well provisioned with furniture, bedding, large screen tv and kitchenware. All Sorrento’s and the local region’s best amenities and attractions are close by, with restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. Highly recommended, especially for a family or group of 4 - 6.

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The place was exactly as described, if not better. It was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to town and the beach. Communication with the host was seamless; they were incredibly responsive, welcoming. This home was an absolute gem peaceful, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed with high-quality touches throughout. From the luxurious bed and crisp linens to the plush couch and spotless bathroom, every detail made the stay feel indulgent and comfortable. One thing that really stood out was the water pressure strong enough to actually wash your hair, which is surprisingly rare in most Airbnbs. And unlike many places, there were no leaks or awkward plumbing quirks in the shower just clean, functional design. The host was warm, responsive, and genuinely accommodating, making the experience feel seamless from start to finish. This place is a perfect escape for couples looking to unwind in comfort and style. I’ll absolutely be coming back 5 stars, hands down.

We had a great time at the Portarlington National Celtic festival over the June long weekend. To top this off our very comfortable accommodation was a highlight. The Hosts have put so much effort to make their place a home away from home and it shows with every thoughtful detail . Certainly would recommend to anyone wanting to stay and also explore the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula. Hopefully we can return for another luxury escape !! Rgds Margaret & Bob

It was a last minute getaway and was just perfect. Exactly what we wanted and expected. Cold enough evenings to make the most of a fabulous fireplace. Lovely open space. Perfectly equipped kitchen and walkable distance to shops and beach. It was also a perfect secure home to bring our dog.

This place is amazing. Some places you go almost feel clinical… but this place was so welcoming and inviting. The hosts have thought of it all. Every item in the home is perfectly thought out. Heaps of space. A beautiful outlook. You just won’t want to leave.

We had a wonderful stay at Ria's place. The house is exactly like the photos, beautiful, luminous and well equiped. It has everything you need (even an office!). Biarritz is a beautiful, stylish villa in a peaceful garden setting and Sylvie is an excellent host, always so friendly, responsive and helpful. We were three generations staying for eleven nights after Xmas and the five bedrooms, spacious, bright, open plan living, kitchen, dining areas suited us perfectly. The new spa and sauna were a well used added bonus. Sylvie has ensured every room is so well equipped, with all we needed plus many extras and thoughtful touches that we have not seen in other houses, and all is of a high quality.
