Olive House in Ceres

GrahamRating, 5 stars3 months ago
What a wonderful weekend away. This is the perfect place to come to for a few days if you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. It's so peaceful on the farm, no sound of cars or loud music. Not another person in sight! A beautiful home with lots of bathrooms and also a great place to braai (This is a must if you go away for a weekend). The home was beautiful and clean, with all the items that you would require while on holiday. A brand new toothbrush in the packaging , as well as toothpaste were also available (something guests often forget, so those little extra touches were wonderful. But without a doubt, the best feature was the outside shower (with hot water). Thanks Candice

What a spot! This place is so spacious and simplistic , making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The surroundings are tranquil — I loved waking up to the peaceful atmosphere and ending the day in such a homey space. Everything was thoughtfully set up for comfort, and the little details made it feel extra special. What a refreshing getaway. I’ll go back!

Cosy 2 bedroom cottage with beautiful views

GerswinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The photos doesn't do the place justice. The absolute beauty of this place and surroundings are astonishing. 31 on Witzenberg is something everyone should experience once in their lives. Since we entered the property it felt like home. The cottage is so cozy and it had everything that we need. Afternoons at the braai watching the sunset are out of this world. It gave us the best of both worlds, the springboks and zebra roaming freely and also the serenity and peacefulness that gives an spiritual encouragement that was needed. Our hosts were exceptional, Polly and Jane. Thank you for allowing us in your space. May you continue to do good and may you prosper in everything you do.

This place magical and beyond what is seen in pictures! The attention to the very little details was amazing! Super peaceful place and highly recommended for anyone likes to get out of the city life and relax. The host was also super helpful and informed us of all that we needed to know before and during our stay . Thanks for giving us the opportunity to rent this place we’ll definitely come back whenever we’re back in South Africa

Beautiful place to stay over a long weekend. The Historic home was very clean with great amenities. Louise was very welcoming and available throughout our stay. Added country touch of having roaming chickens in the garden and 2 friendly cats!

Kareekloof Conservancy - Elands Family Cottage

EllouiseRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were a bit surprised by the 10km stretch of public dirt road leading to the farm — we had expected only a few kilometers of gravel once on the property — but it was still perfectly manageable with a sedan. The thoughtful touches on arrival really made us feel welcome: a chilled G&T, the hot tub already heated, and a freshly baked loaf of bread waiting for us. The game drive the next day was a highlight. Uncle Steve shared many fascinating, history-rich spots with us, making the experience both educational and memorable. Next time (when not pregnant!), we’ll definitely take advantage of the kayaking — the lakes are absolutely beautiful — and we’d love to stay longer, as the game drive takes up most of the day. Highly recommended!

De Liefde Cottage

KimRating, 5 stars5 months ago
De Liefde cottage was a wonderful new year's retreat for our family. I appreciate the fact that it is well indicated that it's a working farm and that you will see the workers during the day. There was a lot of foot traffic around 7/8am and 4/5pm. We found that workers would stand outside the kitchen window to connect to house's wifi (not password protected) and catch up on their messages. Not a huge issue, just worth being prepared for. Once our toddlers moved their beds closer together and we noticed clumps of dust behind the furniture, which was off-putting. It indicates surface cleaning and not thorough cleaning before guests arrive. I'd recommend updating broken patio furniture, ensuring that all basins drain water easily and decent cleaning of all spaces. The pool is about 3x6m in size and not deep enough to fully submerge an average height adult. Not an issue, but worth knowing what to expect of the pool. Overall, it is still a lovely stay with beautiful mountain views.

Exclusive Mountain Retreat

DanielRating, 5 stars1 month ago
An absolutely breathtaking place – stunning views, complete tranquility, and everything you need to truly unwind for a few days in nature. The house is well equipped with all essentials, plus some special extras like a lovely pool, a spacious braai area, and a skylight in the bedroom to fall asleep under the stars. Philipp is a fantastic host – warm, attentive, and always available if needed. And as a delightful surprise, two curious and adorable klipspringers occasionally wander by as local residents. A truly special stay, highly recommended!
