A lovely, comfortable apartment with an amazing view of the beach and ocean. The host was very responsive and gave clear check-in instructions.

The place is lovely, safe and secure. Beautiful nature only 1 downfall is if there's no electricity there is an inverter for lights etc although the water stops as there is only a borehole system which uses an electric pump which is not connected to the inverter, other than that is really great

Stunning apartment right on the shoreline. The apartment was modern, spacious and very well maintained. The large balcony was perfect for evening braais and we spent many happy hours up there watching dolphins and whales playing in the ocean. A two min walk to margate beach and an easy drive to all local amenities. Can’t say enough about the place, we loved it!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, it was clear Mevlynne had thought of every little detail—from extra blankets and toiletries and fully stocked kitchen supplies. The property itself is incredibly peaceful, with beautifully maintained grounds and spotless amenities throughout. Whenever we had a question, he was always available and responded almost instantly, which made everything so easy. The only thing to note is that there’s no Wi-Fi on-site, so you’ll need to purchase mobile data if you want to stream TV. That said, we found it actually perfect—who wants to binge Netflix on holiday anyway? We spent our time exploring, relaxing, and truly disconnecting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene, well‑appointed getaway!

This penthouse exceeded expectations and was exactly as depicted in the photographs. It is rare to find properties in the Margate/Ramsgate area that feature such a modern aesthetic, both in furnishings and amenities. The home is beautifully appointed and thoughtfully equipped with a wide range of entertainment options, including access to Netflix, Disney+, DStv, an Xbox with a variety of games, as well as board games such as 30 Seconds and playing cards. A housekeeping assistant was available over the weekend, which added to the comfort of the stay and made it feel as though I were checking in anew. The property is unquestionably worth the price, and the host was exceptionally welcoming and accommodating throughout the experience.

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was beautiful, peaceful, and just a short walk to the beach—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The decor was stylish and thoughtful, adding a warm and cozy touch. Our host went above and beyond with excellent recommendations for restaurants and local activities, which really made our trip special. At first I wanted to give a bad review, just so that no one else discover this beautiful gem in Southbroom, but alas I can't. The house is absolutely stunning, with everything you need, a home away from home. The house is beautifully decorated, one immediately wants to treat the house and everything with respect. Kim's attention to detail, welcome note, Christmas decorations, communication throughout our stay was excellent. Billy her husband assisted us with something small that had to be repaired and arranged someone on Christmas eve. Billy also notified us throughout our stay of what is happening in and around Southbroom. The house is perfectly located, easy to go for walks on the beach, trails, shops, restaurants, golf, padel, everything on your doorstep but still in a quiet and peaceful street, which is difficult during the festive season. Thank you Kim and Billy for sharing your beautiful home with us, this will definitely not be our last visit, hope to do so soon again.

We had an amazing stay at this well-equipped house that is in the most fantastic location right on the beach. A beautiful verandah and garden to watch the birds and listen to the sea. Theresa looked after us so well and Gillian was a very friendly and responsive host. Thank you for a superb stay!

Our family of six enjoyed a wonderful six-night stay at Vicki's place. The house had everything we needed, the view was amazing (dolphins, whales, birds), Vicki was always responsive, and the three minute walk to the beach directly down from the house was perfect. It's a 10 minute beach walk down to the official Umzumbe Beach with its lifeguards/amenities/surfers. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. We saw joggers and people walking their dogs, and we always felt quite safe. The kitchen had everything we needed to cater for ourselves. The place was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We utilized Regina the helper one day and she was great. As we're not used to setting/disarming alarms, we struggled a bit with the alarm system, but we eventually got the hang of it. We experienced load shedding one evening, but with the propane/gas oven and all of the candles plus large flashlights available, this was actually enjoyable. We plan to return!

We had an awesome stay at Shale Beach House. It has everything you need; you don't have to drive anywhere. It is such a peaceful private area; the sea is literally on your doorstep. We loved the jacuzzi bath, jacuzzi and rim flow pool and the permanent ice maker, but there is so many things that make it comfortable to stay in! Wilson was a delight to deal with, had a really easy check in, he always around if you need anything. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Nelius for opening up your beautiful home!

This place deserves more then 5 stars. I booked Peter's place for a weekend away whilst visiting my family in SA. The house is fantastic, amazing view, great pool and braai area and great rooms. So perfect for a weekend away. Nicolene was amazing in communicating and super helpful. We had an amazing weekends with family, dogs and toddler. Thank you so much

What a great experience. If you're an early riser who enjoys a good sunrise, set your alarm clock and make your way out of bed to the balcony. I promise it's worth it. Among the best sunrises I've watched and filmed! AND, an absolute bonus on our final early morning on the balcony... Dolphins surfing in the waves, whales coming up for air, and even potential shark breaches in the background! Plus I must mention the wealth of nature sounds and bird life in view. Between Jared and Erika, they did a great job hosting us. Definitely visiting again in the near future.

This place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Very spacious inside with stunning full seaview together with a huge balcony where you can sit and dine whilst feeling the sea breeze. I will go back again anytime and the host is very friendly and helpful. Wow

We spend the entire week... Beautiful surroundings.... The estate is beautiful, tranquil with lots of things to do ... The condo is supper clean ideal for a small family.... Loved it...
