Holiday rentals with a kayak in Rangeley Lake

This cabin is beautiful! lots of space, a wonderful front porch, solid dock and close access to the boat launch if you are into fishing/boating. Such a peaceful place listening to the loons, peepers and brook by the water. would rent (and recommend) again!

We had an amazing week at Kyle’s Valhalla cabin. This was a fishing trip, I have been traveling to the Rangeley area every spring at “Ice out” to fish and this was one of the most memorable trips I have had. Kyle took note of the fact that we were fishermen and braved the cold water to install the dock for us before we arrived, the cabin was spotless and although remote, had all the comforts of home. We will definitely be back, what a great spot and an awesome host!

This is such a perfect place. Very clean, has everything you need. Close to the restaurants and grocery store in downtown Rangeley and a quick easy drive to Saddleback Heather really thought of all the little things like the bedding and the towels are such high-quality. The heater keeps the place cozy. The shower has excellent pressure and gets really hot I highly recommend this VRBO. It’s also an excellent value!

This was a beautiful and well kept location in Northern Maine. We were staying during the off season, so it was very quiet but that’s what we were looking for. The only thing I wasn’t aware of initially, was that the host was charging for the use of the kayaks that are listed as amenities, the weather didn’t cooperate so we didn’t use anything, but that would have been helpful to have in the description of the home. Other than that it was a great space! It was very spacious and cozy!

We had a wonderful stay! We had a large group with kids ranging from 2 years old to 13 and they all had plenty of space to play and hang out together. The home was clean and comfortable. Leisa answered any questions we had and always responded quickly. We took the kids to Moose Alley on the rainy day we had where they joyed the arcade and bowling. Coos Canyon was another fun spot for cliff jumping and and icecream stop. We drove into Rangeley on our last day and the kids enjoyed the beach/playground area. The town had some cute shops and we had dinner at a local brewhouse. We all enjoyed our last evening outside by the fire enjoying the beautiful sunset views. 🌲😊🔥🍺💙

We had a wonderful winter weekend here! The lake was frozen in February, and we had fun snowshoeing across it and visiting a small ski slope that's 15 minutes away. The house was super comfortable for our group of four adults and two three-year-olds, and we appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was, including kid-friendly dishes! I'd love to visit again.

We had been looking for a private vacation spot on a lake that would accommodate our intergenerational family of 8 and 2 pets for a few years. Sweetwater Cottage was worth the wait! The long backyard and raised screened in porch made for exquisite views of the sunsets while our kids and dogs played. Quiet lake and neighbors made for an equally perfect spot for early morning fishing and afternoon naps while listening to the loons. We caught several bass, lake trout and even a landlocked salmon out on our flat bottom boat, and the kids were endlessly entertained by catching sunfish off of the dock. The provided paddleboards were a favorite. We even paddled out to the small island where we got up close to a Bald Eagle's nest and took turns jumping off the small wooden platform on a rope swing. The house was beautiful and spacious with comfortable beds and a sectional couch that fit our whole family for game nights. Lots of great memories and photos made. We can't wait to return!

Loons Rest was the perfect get away spot for our 40th anniversary. We were lucky to enjoy the swimming dock in mid September as the daytime temperatures were in the upper 70's to low 80's. The lake was pristine and was warm enough for swimming still. We enjoyed watching and hearing the loons as well as the eagles and kingfishers. We loved the outdoor fire pit when the evenings turned cool as well as the indoor fireplace which is a work of art! Also the was plenty of well seasoned firewood. Everything about this place is very well thought out. If they don't have it you don't need it! The kitchen was well equipped and we were happy to find that there was everything we needed to prepare pizzas to cook on our solo stove pizza oven that we had brought along! John is a great host and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would highly recommend Loons Rest to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing spot to vacation.

We had an absolute blast at Troy’s place! I would genuinely recommend this for any group or family regardless of age and interests. It’s just a beautiful home and spot with lots of fun things to do in it!

What a peaceful gem! We booked this at the last minute and we're so happy we did. It's amazingly quiet--we heard loons but not much else. We loved that the lake doesn't allow motorized watercraft. This is definitely a Maine camp--simple, no frills, and that's what makes it great.

We had a great stay! The cabin was clean and very well equipped. We really appreciated the quality of the cookware (much better than most airbnb's we have stayed in). Jonathan is a great communicator and very responsive. If you want to experience the natural beauty of Maine in solitude this is the place for you. We can't wait to return! We also recommend going to the Farmer's Daughter in Oquossoc for some fabulous locally grown and locally made food items. We stop in whenever we are in the area and this year we were fortunate to purchase some locally foraged fiddleheads along with a box full of other fabulously yummy items.

Kelly was very fast in responding to our questions! The cabin was perfect for the rainy weekend that we had! The kayaks were a hit with the kids!

It was a great weekend getaway trip for my boyfriend and I. It was a nice area and relaxing and clam.

Great spot near Mt blue pond. Has mostly everything you need at the shack. I would have packed lighter if I knew it was fully stocked. But it’s good to know for next time. There are neighbors on one side divided by a huge fence. Shack was cozy, clean and peaceful. It was so nice of Alexandra to let us use the kayak! It was awesome! Kids had a blast!

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

If you like to relax or fish, swim, or watersports this is a great place. Clear clean water and a lovely place to stay. Next time I will bring my 4x4 and the boat. Easy ride to Rangely, Kingfield, and other place with nice restraints and places to shop. You will love it and most of all have fun. Thanks

We had a great family ski trip. The house was great with many great amenities. The view is great, we even saw a moose while drinking our morning coffee. Will definatly be back.

Beautiful place. Perfect getaway. Paul was very nice and helpful. Great recommendations for places to go. Very responsive to any questions we had. I could sit on the deck for days and watch the pond and soak up the sun. Only regrets was we had more rain than sun and unable to enjoy a bonfire. But thats Maine. Lol Cant wait to plan a trip back.

Very private location. It was on a beautiful lake and there was also a river near by that was beautiful as well. The lake had a bunch of free activities to do. I would definitely stay here again!

Michael's home was a little slice of paradise! We did not have the greatest of weather for the long Memorial day weekend but it was so easy to make the best of it with Michael's home. There was 12 of us and there was plenty of space for all! Nights spent playing games and laughing around the fire! We would definitely return to stay at this beautiful home!
