Where the log burner now sits, the original boiling tanks sat, a real piece of history. It benefits from double height ceilings, to create a real feeling of space, and is split level with only three steps between floors. As the only property in the village with french doors opening onto the beck side, it really is a place to savour.

The 230 year old cottage is full of character and charm, with a wood burning fireplace in the lounge (on the top floor) to keep you warm on a cold winters night. Sleeps up to 5 people (4 adults), plus one well-behaved dog. High speed wi-fi and parking permit for free parking in the visitors car park.

Captain Cook’s Cottage is located in the heart of Staithes. It has narrow winding streets leading to various points of natural beauty. The cottage is fully equipped and sleeps 7 (2 doubles and 1 triple). No pets and no smoking. Self catering. There is walking access to activities and amenities; recommendations available upon request. Guests can park temporarily to unload but will need to park elsewhere.
