The Airbnb Plus programme began in 2018 to recognise homes with exceptional quality, comfort and style. When a listing has an Airbnb Plus badge, it means that the property has passed an in-person inspection.

Many Hosts asked for a simpler way to communicate the programme’s high standards to guests. Based on your feedback, we’re updating Airbnb Plus listing pages in February 2023.

    The changes include:

    • Airbnb Plus is explained in just one sentence, in a highlight right below your listing title: “Every Plus home is reviewed for quality”. Guests can tap or click a link to learn more, pulling up details about the programme in a pop-up window.
    • Your listing is easier for guests to scan as they search for the perfect stay. Your Airbnb Plus badge still appears at the top of your listing page, and guests can select Airbnb Plus as they filter for search results. This new page layout also fits better with the rest of Airbnb, which was redesigned last year.
    • You can easily edit more items on your listing page. You can write a longer listing description, add features and amenities from a refined list of options and update your photos without contacting Airbnb.

The Airbnb Plus programme is available exclusively to Hosts who’ve already earned the badge. We’re not inviting others to join at this time.

Next steps for Airbnb Plus Hosts

We recommend that you review your Airbnb Plus listing after the changes take effect. Making sure your info is current and complete can help your listing show up in search results and the relevant Airbnb Categories.

    Revisiting your features and amenities
We’ve fine-tuned the standard checklist of features and amenities. It’s a good idea to go over the updated list to ensure you’ve selected everything your place offers guests.

You’ll find new options, such as a kitchenette and an espresso machine. Some older items have been removed. If a feature or amenity you’d like to highlight is no longer on the list, you can showcase it in your listing description.

    Writing a compelling listing description
You now have unlimited space – previously 600 characters – to share what’s special about your place. You may want to add a few more specific details.

For example, note some outstanding extras you provide as an Airbnb Plus Host, such as luxury linen, airport pickup upon request or a well-stocked fridge.

    Having new professional photos taken
Have you recently made changes to your place, inside or out? Consider updating your photos to show guests exactly what to expect when they stay there.

You can request pro photography from Airbnb. If the service is available in your area, you’ll receive an email with a price quote, which you can accept or decline.

When you have new images, you control which ones you add and you can remove anything that’s outdated.
