A spotless and lovely appartment only 15 minutes from the city. Lovely views from the balcony. Dagbjört was very helpful throughout the booking process and made everything easy. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay when visiting Iceland, although you may need to have a car.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lena and Brimir's place. They were exceptional hosts, making check-in a breeze and ensuring everything matched the description perfectly. The welcome file provided all the necessary details, and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. All required amenities were available. I highly recommend their place and would be delighted to stay with them again. All my queries were responded almost immediately.

A beautiful apartment with great views. It was extremely well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Lots of space. Easy bus ride into the city centre with the bus stop very close by. Tea, coffee and chocolate a lovely touch. Thank you Maria!

We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

10/10. Maria and her family were wonderful hosts. From letting my children play with their pets to allowing us flexible check in and out due to our flight times, this listing is an absolute gem. Great water (drinking and bathing), beautiful yard, killer views. We saw the northern lights right from our windows multiple nights. I wish we could have stayed forever!

Bryndis and her family were wonderful hosts the place was close to some restaurants and the water. It is located in a peaceful section of Reykjavik and a great home base for activities around the capital. It is clean, spacious and the hosts were very responsive.

This home was beautiful and in the perfect location. The deck was a great place to sit out on with everyone after our long days of hiking and sightseeing. It included everything we needed to have a comfortable and smooth stay. Could not recommend this house more!!

1) Elin’s house is perfect to stay in because of its artistic deco, fully equipped kitchen, stunning ocean view, easy access to a large lawn in the back, and perfect layout for us, a family of four. 2) It’s also at an excellent location: walking distance for a stroll by the ocean, a bite to eat at local bakery or grocery store. Less than 10 minutes drive to downtown Reykjavik for more restaurant options. And a convenient base for our day trips as well. 3) It’s spotless clean which we greatly appreciated. Such a wonderfully cozy place in a great location! We loved being able to see the Northern Lights from the hot tub after a long day of exploring on the Golden Circle. House was super easy to get to - close to everything, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. We were able to beat the traffic and walk to catch multiple sunsets at the Grotta Lighthouse. Host's directions were super detailed for any and everything one would need to know and they were very responsive when we did have additional questions.

The environment is very good, the house is very cozy, everything is very complete, the communication with the host is particularly smooth, I will come again next time

My husband, four children and I stayed here for almost a week. We felt at home from the start and really enjoyed our stay. It is obviously in a very quiet area and the only sounds one hears are from the sheep outside. Supermarkets are only 15 min away and Reykjavik can be reached in 40 min. Thank you for a wonderful stay !

For a family of 4 it was a perfect spot for a few days. We also loved the local swimming pool.

Unnur is an awesome host! Her communication, responsiveness, and flexibility were top notch. Her apartment was clean and tidy overall and the kitchen was particularly well-appointed. It would be a great place for someone who wants to cook their own meals because there’s a huge grocery store a block away. The apartment was a bit further away from the city center than I expected (it may be 15 mins to the main street, but it takes another 15-30 mins to get to places like Harpa, making it a bit of a slog in rainy and often windy conditions). That said, the walk along the harbor is beautiful and it felt safe, even at night.

This is a spectacular and large apartment in a beautiful residential neighborhood. The views alone are enough to recommend it, but the overall place was spacious, clean, and comfortable for our family group of 4 adults and 2 teens. I would definitely recommend a car. The neighborhood is safe and walkable, but at least 20 minutes on foot to most things, and the wind was very cold at night. We did not try the bus, but all neighbors in the area were driving and we were very happy we had booked a car. With a car, it was super easy to get around Reykjavik and leave the city for day trips. On street parking by the apartment was easy to find and free. My mom asked me to leave a note that this is not a rental, but a home, so there are lots of personal items throughout the house and limited spaces to unpack. She also warns against people who might not be aware that it is a walk up unit. My teens loved the very affectionate cat, who made it feel like home.

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. On the first day, we had some issues with the hot water, but Halldor was extremely responsive and had the problem resolved right away. The apartment was spotless, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals. It made for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would highly recommend this place to others.

The apartment was exactly as described and immaculate. But what I liked best was that it was in a tranquil neighborhood with outstanding views across a bay and easy access to downtown. Once I drove downtown, once I walked along the bay and once I took a chance on a scooter (very easy path to follow, but since that was my first ride ever, it was harrowing!). I appreciated that Kjartan made my stay exceptionally easy - most of my questions (what’s the WiFi password, where’s the nearest grocery store, etc) were answered in advance, and then again in a helpful booklet in the apartment. Thank you, Kjartan, for a fantastic stay in Reykjavik!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Laritza's place the day before our return flight since it's a 10 minute drive from Keflavik airport. Laritza was extremely welcoming and her place beautiful. We had a lovely time.

This is a very lovely home, in a convenient area, perfect for a family. Jón was always kind, responsive, and helpful. We loved staying here and look forward to staying in this home again next summer!
