(If there are more of you, it is also possible to set up a sofa bed in the basement for two people.) A cozy garden leads down to its own beach at Mjøsa. Lovely perennial bed and a private kitchen garden to prepare in. There are great hiking opportunities at Helgøya, for walking, running and biking.

18th century lofted wooden house close to everything

Stay centrally in Lillehammer with stunning views of Mjøsa, in a traditional lofted wooden house with a unique history. Vågåhuset is a timber building that was moved from Vågå to Lillehammer in 1913. The house was originally one of three buildings on a farm in Vågå in Gudbrandsdalen. According to Maihaugen/Digital Museum, the house was bought and moved to Lillehammer by the painter Frederik Collett.
