Spacious newly renovated cottage located in peaceful Mayo countryside, close to popular fishing lakes, 30 mins from Ireland West Airport, 15 mins from Castlebar, 25 mins from Ballina and 5 mins from the Green Way located at Tourlough House and Country Life Museum. Pontoon freshwater beach is 10 mins drive, Ennischrone, Killalla and Westport are 30 mins away and boast fabulous beaches. The house sleeps 8 people and is newly renovated. This cosy self contained apartment is attached to the Owners house but has its own entrance and private off road parking. It is a quiet suburban location with the town of Westport easily accessible less than five minutes walking on street lit footpaths. This is the ideal location for couples looking for a romantic escape away yet close to the restaurants and night life of Westport or for young families looking for somewhere that easily accesses that many amenities that the town has to offer.

Cosy Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, cosy space in the rolling countryside and just a 40 minute drive from Knock Airport. For something more lively there’s Westport and Castlebar, with their shops, bars and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello. When not away working, I stay in a chalet on a separate piece of land close by but not overlooking the cottage. I do respect guest privacy.

Ballina Town is only 8km away. Combine your stay with the perfect pint of Guinness and a chat with the locals, next door!

No. 58 is a very cosy two bedroom mid terrace house opposite McHale Park (GAA) in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. The downstairs living area consists of a kitchen/dining, sitting room, work station and utility leading to an enclosed rear yard where one can bask in the sunshine and relax ! McHale road is a very friendly community in a cul de sac and is a 15 minute walk to the town centre with shops, pubs and entertainment. It is also a 10 minutes walk from the train station.
